2018: I just remember this young lady so I clicked here remembering how she magically performed this song in American Idol. As usual, I’m amazed. Should have been the winner.
She was my bet that year to win American Idol! Her rendition of this song, and also Can’t Help Falling in Love, were the best for me. Jena Irene, I will always remember you!!! Should have been the American Idol for that year!!!☝️

Very few musicians can cover another artists song... even fewer can make it their own...throughout music history it just doesn't happen because we're used to a specific set of vocals being recognizable with a specific song. This however, is one of those few beautiful moments where a young talent... makes it their own!

I think that we all wish that at some point in our lives we could create something as beautiful as this performance.
Is there any better on the Idol stage? Noooo! I get the fist half dozen seasons they didn't ask as much on stage, but Jena is as full package. She can sing as good as any, more versatile and unique as any, But the best part, she blows away any LIVE performances with making them her own, than any I've seen on the Idol stage. This should translate to mega success. Why wouldn't it.

I know Nicky Minaj ran American Idol into the ground and it never recovered. But there truly was a lot of talent featured. After Nicky Minaj did her thing in American Idol, the numbers plummeted and never recovered.
Nicki Minaj was awful as always, but the reason Idol inevitably lost its audience is because they had obviously rigged their season 12 show so only a female could win. Indeed, all the guys were eliminated before the first female was eliminated. That and because of the rigging the level of talent and therefore the enjoyment of the show suffered horribly and as a result, they lost audience in droves and then subsequently weren't ever able to win them back.
The show also suffered from other problems having to do with not fulfilling their fiduciary obligation to protect the integrity of their talent contest TV show, which caused at least four females to be gypped and also ripped off from what should have rightfully have been theirs.

Good rendition, but of course was shortened for the Idol format, which takes away from the song. My favorite version of this song is by Haley Reinhart as performed with PMJ, if you have not heard that version, you should listen to it.

For anyone who really wants to watch someone crush "Creep", they need to type Haley Reinhart Creep into the search box and hit enter. Haley's literally destroys it. It is so, so good. Warning put a jacket or something on before watching because you will get chills when you watch it.
