Thanks Mike, really helpful, great video...we haven't started down this road yet, but I actually have three companies that we will be doing the Google Ad Words with...appreciate you.
That is an amazing video education on the basics of using Google advertising! I understand that's all it is, it's just the basics. But for someone like me as a one man mobile service, this video alone is a game changer for me. Great great value you just given me Mike. I've spent $30 dollars many times on Google ads with no results. I can clearly see now all the things I did wrong in targeting my prospective clients. Unbelievable! I can't believe how off I was. I have to thank you very very much for this basic knowledge that I believe will take my business to the next level. I subscribed to you so as I grow, I'll be coming back to you for my knowledge and education. So glad I found this video. ❤
What would you do in a situation where you have a regional campaign that covers several areas and want to show a different local phone number based on the targeted locations? Do you really have to split the locations out by campaign or ad group? It doesn't look like the call extension setup has any specification of certain location targets among all those in the campaign that has the ad. Wishful thinking: perhaps Google intuitively looks at the assets area code and user location to algorithmically pick the right extensions from several?
Good video Mike. I couldn't agree more with making sure the location setting has "people in" and not interested in the location, especially if you are in a major metro area. Another major money suck is the foreign zip codes that are identical to US zip codes. Catch those or waste dollars. Question what Google Recommends.
I definitely needed to watch this video. I do internet marketing using Microsoft Ads (Bing) platform. This is a very informative and helpful video. Thanks for sharing Mike.
Thanks for you help. all sond good but in SudAmerica for Example in my contry Colombia the postal Code is real. but in into in the google Ads not is exacting location, only for radio in this case how to made. thanks
Great video, should help me get started on the right foot. We're a small business (10-ish employees) with about 4 million dollars in revenue, and we're taking money that is being used for radio and tv and using it for online ads to generate leads. I do have a couple of quick questions for you, if I may: - Would you suggest the ad(s) to point towards our website, our facebook page, or a landing page that's ad-specific? - We have two main competitors in our area: what's the best way to target either people that have looked at their website, or even better, that have been to their showrooms? The latter would be the most important for us at this point I think as one of the two has very high traffic. They're also in a remote/industrial area so it would be quite easy to target. Cheers!
Wow the zip code clicking trick was great! I had to previously search each city one by one and find out their zip codes and that was a headache. Thanks for that!
Hi Mike, nice video! Would you say that this applies to google ads app campaigns as well with small budgets? (An app can be served from anywhere. Does it make sense to target the whole country / multiple countries, or someone should start from a city for example?)
Thanks for the video. Is there any way to exclude locations by ad group or does it always have to be at the campaign level? I want to test 2 ad groups against each other by excluding poor performing locations and I don't want to create a new campaign to do this.
thanks for the shearing the details. i knew that google not place the add when targeting very small area like zip numbers. you get very small impressions. I don't think it is that easy to target it may cost more or equal.
Hey Mike, Glad to have this video. Can you list down some recommendations to implement geo-targeting in SEO for a website that targets these countries - US, UK, and India..!

Sorry, SEO is completely different than Google Ads. You'll have to ask someone else about SEO. I don't know it that well anymore.
