I thought that ‘gravitational pull of Pepsi’ graph was a mock-up made for this music video, but it’s ACTUALLY PART OF THE REAL MANIFESTO THIS WAS BASED ON
@@Kobolds_in_a_trenchcoat A few corrections. The USSR first got pepsi in 1974, when they allowed the company to start what they termed a "concession" - a kind of restricted foreign ownership in soviet industry - to build a cola factory to supply the country. This soviet pepsi factory was 49% or so owned by the American Pepsi company and so Pepsi was directly being paid in rubles. Why the Vodka and Ships come in is not because the Ruble was unwanted outside of USSR, but because you couldn't convert it because it had no fixed value. Inside soviet economy itself the Ruble was not used except to pay wages and for customers to buy from shops, while industry was assigned resources according to planning. Ruble prices didn't relate to market value, month's bills and rent only 15 while a car was 10000 for example. Simply if you had rubles you could only convert it to "real money" indirectly, through purchasing a Soviet product and then selling it outside USSR for dollars. Because Ruble prices were often totally different to dollar ones (fuel cheaper than water in rubles but sold for a lot more in dollars) it was possible for gangsters to become extremely rich doing this sort of thing. Soviet-Pepsi being totally legal concession business decided to export vodka to the equivalent dollar value of the cola.

This video deserves so much more recognition
thanks so much :D
There's no longer language, only recognition.
Brand recognition
"Color makes us hungry. Hunger makes us human" goes insanely hard for no reason
The new lesson taught in DHMIS 7 is intense.
HAJNDJDN9GMT9FJF YES
OH MY GOD THIS WOULD MAKE AN AMAZING DHMIS EPISODE
*pulls out lesson 53*
"Here why have a circle, smooth and inoffensive"
"Why is it white"
Yes the color white is so offensive... ok then
@@samyes1741 XD I saw it off of a meme comp one time and I was like "OMG IT FITS HERE SO PERFECT"
@@samyes1741 r/whooosh
I know why can’t it be grey
@@timeforamunch2616 It was sarcasm, I'm assuming, looking at the context so.......

Having it cut off after the last "Everything's connected" makes this song somehow even more ominous than it usually is
You know, I'm not even mad that the Dream SMP fans are all swarming this now. It's always good to see more people getting into the insanity that is Lemon Demon.
If you liked this but also like (*hastily looks up 'Dream SMP plot'*) the sci-fi aspects of DSMP, try listening to "The Machine", "Manmade Object" or "Cabinet Man".
ay thanks! i’m a ranboo fan who decided to come check this song out cause i’ve been just looking for more music to listen to so thank you for the other recommendations!
@@solis_nova same, glad I’m not the only one
@@siegull yo! wait are you also a steven universe fan?
@@solis_nova yeah. It was a great show
@@siegull Awesome! i’ve loved it for a few years now, and am maybe still a little bit too obsessed with it skdbdmdkrh
the effort put into this is absolutely incredible, this must've taken so long to render.
thank you very much! if i remember correctly, i think it took 25 minutes or more.. it’s been a while tho
THEY CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
A million dollars says they can! 🤣
And...they just rebranded again today...
Lemon demon is the type of song maker that makes songs where you understand more and more the more you watch.
Think about it this way (haha, get it?): Most of the songs on SP are about some sort of horrifying monster or other. A living arcade cabinet, a beautiful eldritch horror, a womanizing cloud of gas... modern consumerism is *just another one of them.*
ur right and u should say it
A mongoose ghost named Gef
The funny thing is that the actual corporate files regarding the Pepsi logo read like deranged pseudo-scientific cult ramblings.
Everyone's talking about One Weird Tip for Spamton but NOBODY'S TALKING ABOUT REDESIGN YOUR LOGO FOR THE ADDISONS
You don't listen to Lemon Demon, you experience Lemon Demon.
I feel like Pepsi is threatening me
no you don't. :)
What do you think about the logo? Are you implying you don’t really like it? Aʀᴇ ʏᴏᴜ ᴇᴠᴇɴ ʜᴜᴍᴀɴ?
This song makes me feel like a corporate from cyberpunk 2020
its cyberpunk 2077 but yeah
I clicked this thinking it was going to be some nice inspiring thing about helping yourself or something but I got something infinitely better
We at Pepsi Co. strive you inspire and help our customers in any way we can! We are glad you feel this way! Well, you simply have to feel that way when drinking a nice, refreshing Pepsi Cola! You must ingest Pepsi Cola. You will.

I am so glad that this is what the song is actually about. I remember listening for the second or third time and going “huh I wonder if this was inspired by the new Pepsi logo” and it ABSOLUTELY was
The lyrics never explicitly specify Pepsi so reading it without context is like looking at hieroglyphics
Damn, didn't notice
"Say goodbye to conflict, that design is *rejected* ." Is such a powerful line.
The lack of rhymes somehow makes it so much more unsettling
It is time to say farewell to the redesigned logo.
We had a good run.😢
This is incredible. I appreciate how you tediously made sure everything remained on beat.
When I came here from BDG's Building Your Online Brand I didn't expect it to be this good.
wow thanks!! glad you liked it!
The last ‘everything’s connected’ never fails to send a shiver down my spine
I've been wondering if there was a video to this song and here I am... mind blown
I love this so much thanks for making it
thanks, glad you enjoyed it :D
When you get the bad ending in a game and this is what the credits are
"Say goodbye to conflict, that design's rejected" is an awfully dystopian way of saying what would otherwise be an awfully utopian line.
It's joever
seven bill’yon people

looks so appetizing

"everything's connected"
"please dont turn me into an oversimplified logo"- This song in a nutshell
Ah yes, *The Gravitational pull of pepsi*
this song is so deep, though they're only talking about a logo change
"think about it this way; guided evolution"
ah
eugenics
I have no clue how I stumbled onto this, but god damn if it isn't amazing!
thank you :)
I like how this videos category is

1:04 Blind people: *alien noises*
Things I noticed:
A echoing voice before each line saying that line
Each line is 6 syllables, making it sound robotic
Not part of the list, but the line 'If they fail to see it, are they even human?' makes me think of those Captchas where you have to type a code from an image.

I'd never thought I'd vibe to a song about how a logo uses quantum physics
I swear I though "geomagnetism" was a joke for the song but oh my god.
"NO, DONT TURN ME INTO A OVERSIMPLIFIED LOGO"
This song has a whole new meaning now that companies are now starting to oversimplify their logos
The slow fade into that Kylie Jenner ad... I involuntarily said "oh my god" out loud...
They did it!!!!!!
it happened again
idk why but this song gives me MAJOR arg song vibes, like an arg about a company that tries to hypnotize people with logos or something lmao
Omega Mart. You’re thinking of Omega Mart.
This all of the sudden became relevant again
The idea of corporations questioning our humanity is horrifying
The Logo has been slain
you've probably heard this one before but putting in the pepsi commercial at the end there was a stroke of genius. well done mate
i love how he just starts spitting "geomagnetism" and " the sun's calculation" its indeed part of making your own logo.
I still can't believe how well you illustrated Neil's song ! it's like it's made by him !!
