If I had a nickel for everytime I saw an unintentional reference to Among Us on an old Neil Cicierega music video I would have two nickels. It's not allot but it's weird that it happened twice.
I had completely forgotten all about this song. What I do remember is that when I was about 17-18-ish, I would listen to this song over and over and over for months. I'm not entirely sure why. The song must've struck a chord with my teenage self. Still, amazing to see this video again after nine years.
why is this vid like legitimately kinda timeless though? prolly just the perks of making weird ass content but damn this feels like it couldve been released today honestly
I remember when youtube was a thing my friends were yelling at me for not “getting on” and it brought me to this. 15 years ago. Also, Dan Deacon’s “Crystal Cat” … back when the “top played” sidebar was king
This is so good... Also, me and my friend randomly quote lyrics from this at school, and when we made our username in a game of Kahoot "enemy lasagna", and got all the questions correctly without a single mistake, people in our class went "who the hell is 'enemy lasagna'" and we just kind of... laughed in knowing the Word Disassociation lyrics. (by the way: i'm not from an english speaking country, so our classmates pronounced "enemy" as... well, enemy, and then instead of "lasagna" they translated the word into our native language, a.k.a. Czech, hence getting the masterpiece that is "enemy lazaně." 10/10, i'll never forget the icon.)
Here I am managing linked lists in C# and I'm so tired that upon initiating a "while" loop, I was reminded of 1:54 of this song I haven't heard in 10+ years.

What Is A Name? I call this one, "A world on fire": AH AH AH AHHHHHH
2004
When you're happy you enjoy the music when you're sad you understand the lyrics
Me and the boys In 2nd grade pointing out funny words in the dictionary:
When he said ,"My elusive hula yellow sketching creamy helium gentlemanly communique" I felt that.
I love how these words don't make sense but rhyme somehow in a way that makes this my favorite song
If I had a nickel for everytime I saw an unintentional reference to Among Us on an old Neil Cicierega music video I would have two nickels. It's not allot but it's weird that it happened twice.
two?

@@Dr_E_Yekley oh right 😰
Same, but for the first few Pepper Ann eoisodes
3, distraction too but I guess two for the joke.
this is a goldmine for band names
You studied for the spelling test, you got this!
The Spelling Test:
I had completely forgotten all about this song. What I do remember is that when I was about 17-18-ish, I would listen to this song over and over and over for months. I'm not entirely sure why. The song must've struck a chord with my teenage self. Still, amazing to see this video again after nine years.
I absolutely love the parts where your brain starts to try and find reason in the nonsense, brains are good at that!
"abundant" is suspiciously abundant here
this is just a goldmine of band names
why is this vid like legitimately kinda timeless though? prolly just the perks of making weird ass content but damn this feels like it couldve been released today honestly
This could pull a despacito for audiences overseas... just sayin
Cant believe Neil invented music videos
Back when the internet was still cute. I have to come back to this every now and then.
this is just an excuse for him to show the cool things in his house
"Spidery Concubine" 0_o
Nathan Dehnel monster musume
Cool Dude oh yes
*Spider Dance intensifies*
I guess we can add Angel Dust to this list, too.

I remember when youtube was a thing my friends were yelling at me for not “getting on” and it brought me to this. 15 years ago. Also, Dan Deacon’s “Crystal Cat” … back when the “top played” sidebar was king
i love knowing these stories
If you listen to this after doing word association in therapy, it undoes it through pemdas and you have anxiety again
this feels like a pokerap for words
Neil in 2005/6 looks like what Bo Burnham looks like nowadays.
oh god you're right-
I showed the video to a friend and he thought it was an old video from Bo Burnham haha
the mildly vintage, cluttered vibe makes this look like an I SPY book
i love the like 5 live action lemon demon music videos out there
The fact that he says 'abundant' twice in this song really ties it all together
People trying to find deeper meaning in Neils songs: there's gotta be something behind this
Literally Neils songs:
Here I am managing linked lists in C# and I'm so tired that upon initiating a "while" loop, I was reminded of 1:54 of this song I haven't heard in 10+ years.
I love how Neil put his name down but not put his name as the song maker like lemon demon and Neil are two different people
To this day this doesn't have the views it deserves
This made me metaphorically applause!
The nostalgia is strong with this one.
0:45 The cat from the cover of Spirit Phone
either that or neil really likes siamese cats
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the same cat though, neil seems like the type of guy to keep one cat for such a long time
Sweet bod but with grape juice instead of honey:
*human wine*
13 years and it still bops
When I inevitably disassociate for the first time this is gonna be playing in my head with all the words replaced with vague mumbling
