Moving swiftly through the waters, cannons blazing as she came. Brought a mighty metal warlord, crashing down in sheets of flame! Sensing victory was nearing, thinking fortune must of smiled. People started cheering; "Come on thunderchild, come on thunderchild!" - Lashing ropes, and smashing timbers. Flashing heat rays pierced the deck! Dashing hopes for our deliverance, as we watched the sinking wreck! With the smoke of battle clearing, over graves in waves defiled. Slowly disappearing, farewell thunderchild! Farewell Thunderchild. Farewell Thunder...Child!
is noone gonna talk about the amazing placement of music here, the sad doctor who music actually does pull your heart strings, even if it was for a couple of seconds
This part of the movie is my favorite. It's gotta be the most emotionally evoking scene in history. I think a tear came to my eye when the scene was over.
What everyone forgets is that thunder child isn’t just sank The heat ray caused the ship’s ammo to cook off, ripping her to pieces and the flaming debris destroys one of the tripods
I kinda like how the battle goes in the book alot better. She slowly goes closer to the Martian. After that she is hit by the black smoke but it has no effect she then rams in the first martian, Swivels around her guns and hits the second (I beleive with little effect), she then is hit by the heatray and explodes taking the third Martian with her. Buying enough time for 3 other IronClads to arive and the refugees to escape.
Really good, but in the war of the worlds (if you haven't realised that this film is based on the book, you probably can't even read this...) the thunderchild rams another tripod Another point, it's nice to see a film which is actually CLOSER to the book than both the '50s and the '00s films! Good on u mate! Hehehe my town gets hit by black smoke...
One of my favorite songs ever, before wots i only watched the 2005 stephen king move, wots introduced me to jeff waynes rendition and im very glad it did!
It was made in Garry's Mod, which in turn is a Half-Life 2 sandbox editor. The whole movie can be found on Litfuse Films, and it's well worth a look. Oh ya, the clip. I have to give it a five just for the sound, and then the editing comes and makes itself awesome.
Not gunna lie, that esculated quickly, a bit disappointed that thunderchild went down Way too easily like that, just think it would have better to add alot more of that scene as more of the rest of the thunderchild and more music into it as well.
It died so fast because the HMS Thunder Child in the book War of the Worlds by HG Wells is a torpedo ram (based off the HMS Polyphemus), which is basically a glorified PT boat, and as such, it ain't gonna take much.
NeededFour I know, HMS Polyphemus was constructed in the 1870s and the Thunderchild was inspired by it, but the Thunderchild lasted a little longer than this in the book and album, but I'm not hating, this is still a great parody of a masterpiece.
@MrCas943 Thanks, bud. :) I've heard of Doctor Who. Sounds interesting. Never seen an episode. But I've heard of a few creatures. Like "Weeping Angels" and "The Silence" etc. :P
@calapanpo Agreed, the Thunder Child took out 2 tripods and had disappeared along with the third tripod in Well's book. Actually, I prefer the book, an ironclad steam ram rather than a tugboat (my opinion).
england was the greatest empire on earth at that time with a huge fleet and military then why was it only thunderchild in the book? or show the militarys true power like in the 2005 film were they had to put shields on them to make a movie or else they would kick their ass
Commissar even without shields, the Martians would easily crush the armies of earth easily. Do you forget how many fucking tripods were made? And tanks, helicopters and guns were not effective very the tripods, let alone without the shields.
I salute you those who were banned on the ThunderChild. Those players will be missed.
the thunderchild was the battle ship
@@thebritishcomanderof he's saying he honors those who died on the ship
@@thebritishcomanderof Wrong it was a torpedo ram ironclad

i always avoided war of the servers as i wasnt sure if it was war of the worlds...
seeing this makes me want to see all of it
watch it, it ascends its machinima status and becomes just a great piece of cinema.
is noone gonna talk about the amazing placement of music here, the sad doctor who music actually does pull your heart strings, even if it was for a couple of seconds
IDMB gave war of the servers a 7 TAKE THAT BİG MOVİE COMPANİES

Honestly, it's even closer to "Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of The Worlds", hence the inclusion of the song from said album
One of my favorite songs ever, before wots i only watched the 2005 stephen king move, wots introduced me to jeff waynes rendition and im very glad it did!

GLORIOUS. Seriously wonderful and witty.

Good show... that song gives me the shivers!

Except the canons take down like two or three fighting machines before that. It's one of the few near victories they get.
Skullkan6 It was a victory because the civilian boat escaped just at the cost of a warship but yano, sacrafice cliches are awesomd
Dude, that's epic !
It's from the episode Girl in the fire place..
1:27 that music creeps me out...OMG TRIPODS HAVE WHEELS! WAT HAPPENED TO THE LEGS!!!!
Gmod limitations
Yep
Mingebag shit
Holy shit it's literally just war of the worlds
i thought that as the thunderchild was sinking, the last cannon at the top would give one last shot
@MrCas943 Thanks, bud. :)
I've heard of Doctor Who. Sounds interesting. Never seen an episode.
But I've heard of a few creatures. Like "Weeping Angels" and "The Silence" etc. :P
Its like war of the worlds +gmod
XD this was the funniest sence in the movie.
@calapanpo Agreed, the Thunder Child took out 2 tripods and had disappeared along with the third tripod in Well's book. Actually, I prefer the book, an ironclad steam ram rather than a tugboat (my opinion).
you could turn this into a film
I imagine to get an image of 1 of emotions before it was vaporized but it explosion They seem like an orb Would a gravity gun On the front
in this they could just use the remover tool on the tool gun
@imakeflashes The War of The Worlds Album by Jeff Wayne (Thunderchild)
What music is this at 0:49? I can't stop listening to it. Its so emotional and amazing to hear over and over.

Nah. They don't have the ability to remove other people's things. That's why they used un-weld blocks. I have no idea why they used SMGs, though.
Not really
