  • First of all I want to underline this is the only film on our channel that we didn't make ourselves but bought in Cypress Gardens in the 90 years. Since the park is now part of Legoland and no longer exists in large parts, we would like to publish the recordings as a homage to Dike Pope. He opened Cypress Gardens on January 2, 1936. It included 8,000 different flowers from over 90 different countries. The park has become world famous over the years for its water ski show. It is not for nothing that Cypress Gardens was given the nickname "Water Ski Capital of the World".
After a turbulent period and some ownership changes, Cypress Gardens was sold to Merlin Entertainments Group and reopened as Legoland on October 15, 2011. A Part of Cypress gardens was preserved by Legoland and is now accessible as Historic Cypress Gardens.

I had a years pass when I lived in winter haven. The town itself was boring but cheap 20 years ago.
