As you were sifting through those ol black n whites of family and times gone..I was taken back to a place full of heartbreak and love...I wish i had photographs, that were mine..only photos i have of family, ancestors, my blood are sourced through others... Both my parents victims of the stolen generation....The impact is still felt today through their children and Grandchild....I hear my ancestors cries... and i feel their hopelesness & pain .... yet i also feel their undefeated strength & comfort..I sometime even catch their jokester personalities.....I never not want to feel them... even the sadness... i cherish it all

Absolutely.
When I was in my teens we lived in Tucson. Across the street a Mormon family had a little Dine (Navajo) girl. My father a part Chickasaw, was just so upset. I remember him giving her art supplies and trying to talk to her. The family ended that quick. One if the saddest children I’ve ever seen. I’m 70 and I still see her face.
Bought the children's book for my son in memory of all who have and still are being taken away 👣👣💖💖

Every time I hear this song, watch Archie sing it live, hear it on the radio, watch videos of Archie singing it just like this and I know this moment was bigger than us all, I can't help but feel such shame for the actions done by so many unintelligent, uninformed people. I truly hope our future generations can meld together and make this country and the world better, have more compassion and gather knowledge from each other so we don't have to hurt anymore. I hurt by listening to the words of this song but it's nowhere near the hurt felt by the spiritual people and caretakers of country. Your spirit is big and such a gift, Archie... touching us all and teaching many. My heart was filled with your magic just being in the audience at the Newcastle City Hall April 22, 2022. Thankyou x
