Back in the 60's my dad used a regular wood match to light the pilot. But he had to wrap a piece of wire around it to get it to reach inside. Always took two matches, and he always cussed-up a storm.
Steve I see you keep your truck stocked up very well I keep my truck stocked up as well Steve I buy a lot of parts online and from different vendors because it really don't matter now where you get your parts they're junk anyway you and Miss Molly take care
We used to Raise Chickens for People to eat. We were always having to change a Thermocoupling on Chicken Brooders. We used to have 50,000 Chickens for People to eat is what the Company told us that they brought Us.
"You're a crusty one, Mr. Grinch." love that old song! I also love, "I'm getting nothing for Xmas, Mommy and Daddy are mad", "I'm getting nothing for Xmas.. b/c... haha" Thanks for sharing your trade with us!
Hey Steve love the video. I had a question for you. How do you keep track of the inventory in your truck? I see that you have a lot of the parts inside your truck. How do you know when you’re low on one thing? Just curious
Hello, I have that same valve and as i was connecting the new thermocouple to the gas valve at the bottom I notice it had some play. Can that piece br removed or replaced? Thank you.
Why did the gas valve go bad? My pilot goes out when I turn on one of my thermostats. But the finished basement zone thermostat works fine but soon as I turn on upstairs thermostat it shuts the system down. Basement was flooded during the beginning of summer and just tried to turn it on. I clean everything out as well in the boiler. Any suggestions?
Why can't I find a guy like you to work on my furnace? I've got a pilot light that frequently goes out and after replacing the thermocouple a few times and checking to make sure the flame is covering good I decided it was the valve. Paid a heating company $100 only to tell me the XS211Y valve is obsolete and I'll have to replace a perfectly fine furnace. Frustrating as heck

Where do wires go to? I'm assuming front rollout switch and B1 on Aquastat.

Gas boilers are the wrong line of work for those who lost their sense of smell.
Water and gas pipes are different.

good ol 480p new vid syndrome
I noticed that too. Set us back a few years. I wonder if something happened with the upload or the recording on the camera.
Using a lighter to check for leaks is like using your fingers to see if wires are live.
My father n law did the same way
