What can I say? I'm not 100% convinced about this season and unpopular opinion… I preferred the younger version of Charles, Diana and Camilla. The actor are all great but the writing was far more compelling last season, unfortunately, but still this show is great. And you can't tell me this is not THE Charles/Diana/Camilla song, it just fits perfectly from start to finish, so here we are.

So good! I haven't seen their seasons yet, only watched s1&2, but I remember hearing about Diana's death and it rocked me despite being only 11 at the time. She was an incredible person. They portrayed their story so well and it was great to see them include the interviews and the infamous black dress with 'I will not be quiet'. Amazing edit.

Diana is the only one had to pay her happiness and life for the system. Charles had a plan to make sure he got the crown and his love back .. and he did get them both!
@@ghadeeralahmadi5381 I agree. IF he had married Camila before she married Parker Boyles, he would have been allowed. Yes, they did not like she had a rep, but Prince Philip was not liked either. Elizabeth dug her heels in and got him. Only after Camila had married someone else, did it become impossible.

From what I read, the marriage was over in 1986.
Diana was extremely emotionally needy, and Charles was never prepared or capable of providing the level of attention Diana wanted. Charles is stoic, a workaholic, introverted, and extremely loyal to the royal family.
He normally performs royal family duties 7 days a week from early morning until late at night. He wasn't available or capable of meeting all of Diana's needs for attention.
They didn't really know each other before the wedding. They were not compatible in many ways including in the bedroom, according to Diana. They didn't have any common interests other than the boys. Both failed to meet each others expectations and needs. Their relationship was increasingly toxic and both were miserable. There was a lot more wrong in the marriage besides being unfaithful.
Diana fell in love and was involved with her bodyguard, Barry Mannakee, in 1985-1986. When Charles became informed of Diana's inappropriate relationship with her bodyguard, Charles ended his intimate relationship with Diana. Otherwise, it would be possible for Diana to have a child by another man and pass the child off as an heir to the throne. That would be high treason. There were rumors Charles was not Harry's father.
They informally separated in 1986. Diana admitted she had an affair with James Hewitt starting in 1986. Their affair ended in 1991. Diana had 8 or more affairs before the divorce was final in 1996. Some of her affairs were with married men and the tabloids labeled Diana a home wreaker. She was the "other woman " in Will Carling's and Oliver Hoare's marriages. Diana knowingly hurt other women. She was not a Saint.
Have you heard of the War of the Wales? The toxicity continued to escalate. Diana's 1995 BBC Panorama interview was intended to hurt and undermine Charles. Diana blamed Camilla for the problems in the marriage. Diana may have blamed Camilla to divert attention away from her affairs that were being reported in the tabloids. She was retaliating after Charles confessed in 1994 that his marriage was irretrievably broken down by 1986, and that's when he renewed his intimate relationship with Camilla. Adding to the mess was James Hewitt's first book published in 1994 about his affair with Diana. Both added to the tabloids credibility reporting on Diana's multiple affairs.

I truly do believe that after all Charles is to be admired for fighting for his one true love. Yes it is not at all justified the treatment he offered to Diana, he should have been clear since the beginning that he refuses to marry her and keep fighting for his one true love. Probably the pressures being too heavy, he tried to make it work...We are nobody to judge his or anybody taste in terms of love / likes. Yes of course Diana for most of us is superior in looks, charisma, etc. , but if his heart only beat for Camila, who are we to condemn that? Who are we not to allow him to have his dream life. Again saying, there could have been a lot better ways to reach what he has reached today, but don't we all reflect on our life choices and after realise we could have done those things a lot different?
My personal heart is with Diana, but my empathy is also with him and I am proud he fought for what we call ..true love. Don't we wish our lovers to have the same urge ? :D
And because of this a true,kind and good hearted person is not alive today
