Dodging those missiles while flying in the air at max speed with that little screen shake is my favorite memory of this game - but I learned something new from this, so thanks! Never once thought to parry a missile for some reason

Running the gauntlet to reach Wyvern's head and steal back that Emerald was hard, but the fight itself was an epic challenge! But he's not so tough if you remember the ability to parry. The only reason I failed the first attempt was that I didn't know what to do with that timed QTE with the rockets... but once you figure out what you're doing, you feel like a titan yourself for slaying the dragon!
I love the more traditional Sonic feel this boss has. It's a test of your speed and reflexes, everything a good game for the blue blur should be about.
This is why I feel that The Final Horizon depiction of this fight is a downgrade from the original. In my opinion, what made this fight memorable and worth coming back to on the bossrush was the fact that, as a whole, it was built to be an epic spectacle from beginning to end. When you take all of that out and convert it to an eye-frame specific timing sort of battle with reduced health... it actually wastes what the boss set out to do in the first place: SHOW THAT SONIC IS A POWERHOUSE against an even LARGER THREAT. HOWEVER, I still love the Final Horizon DLC cause it made the ending worth the wait! 🤣

Yeah the game seems in depth and has alot of cool details too it, glad they put the time and effort to include these things

Because I thought parry was perfect timing, I spent so long on this boss trying to parry his attacks, felt soooo good when I killed him!

just hold the button you use to parry
Press and hold both L1 and R1 to parry it. No need to time it correctly.
