When mica is exposed to extreme temperatures it ( fluffs up , like popcorn ) , to make Vermiculite .... this was used to insulate cavities in some homes , but is a nuisance , as any spillage from a gap can lead to a whole lot of mess , that needs vacuuming up ( better to use rockwool ! ) ............ Hi Dave, thanks for your insightful comment. Vermiculite can indeed be messy if it spills, but proper installation typically minimizes this issue. In such cases, rockwool can be a better alternative for insulation with its own set of advantages. Thanks for watching and sharing this information with the community! 🙂
