The reason Yui can appear in ALO is because ALO is the same program as SAO, so her AI is allowed entry into it since her data was saved as an external file on Kirito's Nervegear, which is like his personal account. Yui was never destroyed in SAO. Her AI was just barred entry from SAO's files forever. That was why he couldn't summon her back in SAO.
At this point I believe that the anime was still called Sword Art Online because of what it meant to the main arc. Everything that happens from now on in each arc is a thing because of SAO. In shorter words, SAO started everything.
Even every arc is about the consequences of Sword Art Online. Fairy Dance is about the 300 players including Asuna who don´t logged out after the Aincrad destruction. Phantom Bullet is about the killers try to still to be killers in a game that isn´t like a Sao. Even the movie is about how the people who died but we didin´t know at all is repercuting in the real life even is passed more than two years from the destruction of SAO server.
If sao had a series where they just focus on a game that’s peaceful like ALO and it’s not a death game but you explore and respawn if you die, that be great

The SAO Alicization Light novels are great, it's a bummer that the rest of the Anime is getting delayed but it makes sense with what is going on currently.

The reason why the items he got from aincrad is in ??? It's because the new game system data base has no item codes for such data. I agree, it sometimes weirds me out how often animes try to normalize romance between siblings. Even if they're cousins, one was adopted, etc, it's still weird. Especially since in thise case, she still thinks he's her actually brother and they grew up together as siblings.

Actually just to clarify, kirito only inherited his stats from SAO, he didnt inherited any items nor sword skill/ buff skill etc that he could use. There is no skill system in ALO, everythin is based on the players real life physical ability,reflexes etc.
It probably won't be a spoiler. Aside from the fact that every subsequent VRMMO game will use similar code, Alfheim is simply stealing the SAO source code. There are other items in the game, therefore the kirito equipment is full of "?????" because the game can't read it. But Yui was part of the system. Therefore, he can normally exist in a game built in the same way.
The guy that is gonna mary asuna owns a big company and when kaiba died his company took over the kaiba indestry and he got acces to everyone that was in sao meaning he took advantage of it and traped her in his game so he could mary her

Kirito only kept his stats (str, agi, dex, sta) etc... he deleted all his items, and money... skills arent compaitble since AFO is magic based, and SAO was sword-skill based.
So everything kirito experienced in SAO was saved on his Nerve Gear (The VR headset he was) and something else... Later on they kinda show you the "Something else"
