"Y'all didn't want me to win. Y'all don't want me to fucking exist, huh?" I had to stop and cry because it's so fucking true. If you're a big girl, people say you need to eat healthy, and then they mock you for dieting and say "you just need to eat less and excercise more". The same people say you're lazy and you need to work out, but when you work out, people say it's disgusting to watch your body move. They'll set a crazy goal weight for you, and if you reach it, they'll mock your sagging excess skin. And they justify ALL of it by saying it's for your sake, and they just want you to be healthy, and then the same people get up in arms about cars coming with larger seat belts because it "normalizes obesity". Y'all don't want us to be healthy. You want us to be, different, to be ashamed, and if we can't be what you wanted, you literally want us dead. They really don't want you to exist at all.
@z z slightly confused by the wording, but at the very very least, I care because my rights and safety are affected by other people's opinions. Things like seat belts and life preservers are still generally made one size fits all because that's "normal", but being "not normal" doesn't mean I don't deserve to live. Medication dosages are listed in a one size fits all way. There are countries where larger people staying on visas can be deported because they're considered a drain on the healthcare system. Very basic human rights are still being affected by whether someone in politics or someone in marketing thinks they shouldn't have to cater to fat people. That may just seem like "what other people think" but it affects my life, and the lives of hundreds of thousands of others, and I do care, very deeply.
It's possible to be healthy at a larger size than most people think. I know that my particular size is not super healthy and has health problems associated, But a lot of those are causes, not effects. Often people will point to people who are, for example, fat because of diabetes, and say "see you have diabetes because you're fat". There's a lot of assumptions. Many large people live healthier lifestyles than many of our straight size peers, but we just have different metabolisms and genetics. My straight size friends have expressed deep frustration because I eat healthier food and smaller portions than they do, but am doubled or triple their size. My brother can lift more weight than his fitness obsessed friends and has more muscle under his fluff, but you just can't see it. So people make assumptions. The fact is, though, that NONE OF THIS MATTERS, because if I lived on burgers (I'm pescatarian), fried chicken (I'm also gluten free), twinkies (I don't eat sugar), and had pop tarts for breakfast (I eat raw fruit)... I would STILL DESERVE TO LIVE. I would still deserve to eat, I would still deserve a home, I would still deserve to be able to buckle in I'm a car. To look at a vast demographic and say "you're not healthy, so we shouldn't have to give you seat belts" and try to pass that off as caring isn't reasonable: it borders on psychopathic.
Omg this is so true. Like people have so many forms of unhealth and they are so ready to point fingers at the types of poor health which are visible (like being overweight) to the extent that they can get people killed. Then they'll talk about how obese people die young. Like the absolute bullshit way that people treat anyone who is fat, and shame their size and their eating habits, even tho there are plenty of people who have eating habits that are worse who have not gained that weight, and are treated like- what? Like they have more right to live because they are biologically able to lose weight? If they actually cared about fat peoples health then they would show positive imagery in the media of fat people working out and eating healthy food happily. But they dont. They show fat people dieting as an object of scorn, they show thin people eating so no one thinks their product is fattening , and then they - or worse we, no matter our weight - shame even the most basic safety precautions for people who are in this situation partly because of diet culture and the insane amount of persistent organic pollutants that riddle our shelf stable food. But since people in poverty and minorities are often more strongly affected by food scarcity and weight gain than the 1%, it still has people pointed entitled fingers and victim shaming. I remember being amused when our pastor was getting a little close to vody shaming in a church talk a out health by quoting the verse about treating your body like a temple. (ge was upper middle class, white, and had literally no predisposition towards poor health.) Our asso rate pastor (a fiery little redhead, who had been called a cripple all her childhood because of her bone disorder and having one leg longer than the other) interrupted him and said "and if you come to this church we will have cake in the foyer EvErY sUnDaY!" Which was true lol They'll body shame you, but they often do it around a mouthful of cake because the can eat one piece and not have their physical/emotional health affected notably.
This might sound dumb but as a dark skinned black man, I found this video VERY helpful. I’m gay - so maybe I’m more in tune with my feminine side - I mean a lot of gay guys are very superficial 😞 so I often don’t feel desirable. Idk. But I always had the same insecurities as Lizzo, with the only difference being that I have not had to struggle with my weight. Some gay guys (scratch that- MANY GAY GUYS) will sometimes not even be your FRIEND unless they find you attractive. And it can be so painful but it’s much worse for women to deal with beauty standards (guys don’t really HAVE to be cute. Just funny lol). Thank you so much for making this video. Both of you are such beautiful people with so much to share with the world. This video is needed in our current climate especially. We need to uplift women, not tear them down. I always get so embarrassed when BM drag BW on Twitter because it’s just so pointless and cruel. Why bring down someone else? It NEVER helps anybody!!! Just mind your own business and try to see the beauty in people rather than what you don’t approve of or aren’t attracted to. - A gay black guy in a white gay man’s world 💜
What you said isn't dumb at all. There's a lot that men can take from this video. Whether it's how they view their own body image, or checking the way in which they police the image of women.
As a gay, recently disabled trans man a lot of this hit home and I love two strong influential women standing up and talking out for inclusivity and using their platform to promote such a great message and give out so much love.
*seriously! I thought I'd seen it all on social media, but accusing a black person for blackface is like accusing water for being wet. some people are the worst trolls*
When I first started listening to Lizzo I felt hesitant to embrace it because I have been teased for my lack of butt for years and didn't know if I would be teased more for singing along to her lyrics. Then at one point, I realized "Fuck this. Lizzo didn't make this song for me to feel worse! She made it for us all to embrace what we have" and I've never looked back. She will forever be my favorite music to play when I need a hype up! Thank you Jameela and Lizzo for making this 😍❤️
She’s right about not being able to please everybody. Even some of the most conventionally beautiful women in show business still get torn apart on social media. People will find the smallest, almost completely unnoticeable “flaw” & run with it. No point in trying to please em.
These two women=strength, but Jameela’s team-PLEASE REMOVE HARDCODED CLOSED CAPTIONS. TH-cam allows watcher to adjust unless they are hardcoded. Having a visual processing disorder, I can’t absorb this beautiful exchange properly. Thank you for starting this!
I can’t ever watch anything with Lizzo involved and not feel better for it afterwards. She is a literal shining beacon and I’ve got so much love for her. All that work and digging she refers to has payed off, her soul is so close to the surface, that’s what makes her magic! 💕💫😭
Hey. Quick note. When complimenting a poc, don’t say articulate, it’s casual racism . calling your Poc friend “articulate” today reinforces the idea that White people have the right to define what it means to be well-spoken and that the only way to be truly eloquent is to mimic the speaking patterns of people of Western European descent.
Ayanna Walker I don’t think she meant it that way. J has a great way of conveying ideas and emotions with her words. It’s not a shocker that’s she intelligent but rather refreshing to have someone speak in a way that resonates. It’s simple as that. Btw I’m a black woman not that that matters.
Ayanna Walker I’ve never heard that angle before. I absolutely love being called articulate, it’s one of my favorite compliments I get-but thanks for sharing that perspective.
@@chaniaaliyah so sorry if it came across that way, not my intention at all! i just think she speaks beautifully! i'll be sure to be more careful next time, thank you for telling me
Jameela and Lizzo have both helped me so much, im a bearish, camp, gay, geeky white man/NB person with a disability. Ive been shamed for so much of myself for so long and finding representations even close to myself in media and online has been a life long pursuit. None of my defining traits have ever been presented as attractive from the world around me, but these two fantastic women have helped me start to find love and peace within myself through their work and actions. Its a long road in a very shallow and brutal world but they give me strength.
I know that this is old so I don't think many (any?) will read this but I found this after watching Jessica Kellgren-Fozard speak up for Jameela and her EDS diagnosis. It was really interesting to hear Lizzo talk about her positivity because I really admire her. I watched her Amazon show about finding dancers and her attitude was just inspiring on so many levels. I really love the idea that we are all on our individual journey but we can still uplift no matter where we are alike or different. I'm definitely not Lizzo's typical audience I don't think but I really took away so much from this. Thank you both ladies. Thank you.
It's cool to not only hear both these ladies talk, but to also hear them talk about how it took them a while to go on their own journeys of self-acceptance for themselves. I love how they use their platforms to discuss all the issues going on with women and the media and how it depict unrealistic pictures of them.
Right? They both have wise big sister energy! I just want to go to a nice restaurant with them, talk about our experiences as women, and pay for their meals as a thank you!
Watching this video gave me hope to push through all the BS I’ve dealt with for years now! I love Lizzo’s confidence it’s refreshing and bold! As a 37 y. o single, black, fat woman from Atlanta , Georgia where you’re only attractive if you look like a Instagram model with a fat a@! , men will only deal with you for sexual fetish’s, it very disheartening to cope and deal with skin you’re in. This interview not only shows how beautiful these two women are from different backgrounds but can still share same realities is amazing! Thank you Lizzo and all the beautiful self confident women out there to show this world we got that it factor too! And the most sexiest attribute of a curvy plus sized woman is our confidence!!! Now let me throw on some heels, outfit and walk out my house like the star I am ✌🏾😎
Having the automatic captions os distracting at first, because Im watching it, and read that line and she says "ok, good" lol.. i was so confused... i had to rewind and listen to it again.
Can we talk a how empowering this was? I related to everything they talked about. I was never comfortable showing my skin, always in this endless journey of self-hatred, self-doubt and body shaming. Y'all I've always been perceived by my peers as more confident than I should be, always asked how can I be confident despite of being plus-size, from friends and family members and it broked my heart how I always had to defend myself and try to constantly prove myself to others. The journey to self-love and self-acceptance is a rocky road and I wish everyone in here (well to whoever gets to read this) that one day you're gonna find true joy in just being yourself. This is hands down one of the best interviews I've watched! Spreading some love to all the beautiful women out there! We got this!
I love Lizzo and it's been such a bliss witnessing her growth. I love how she acknowledges that she's open to accountability which is not a common thing with celebrities/influencers. At last, we're all unlearning and learning, this conversation was everything❤. Sending her loving prayers.
Body positivity isn't about you thinking whether being "over/under-weight" is a choice and or that it is about discipline. It's about keeping that opinion to your damn self. If your intention is to help people be healthy, I don't think the right way to go about it is to body-shame them. If you are happy with your weight, good for you but know that it's not only thanks to your "strong will" and "responsible behavior", it's your genes, your hormones, your metabolism and what type of food you can afford AND it's where you're at emotionally and psychologically. I understand that we should aspire to be healthy and to educate ourselves about what we put in our bodies but we all know that body shaming is rarely about health. When it is not about health, health is just a pretext to be nasty.Body-shaming isn't just about your body shape, it's about your skin, your hair, your eyes, your arms, it's about your physical presence in the world.
Yea but being obese isn’t healthy so it’s less about body positivity and more about being healthy you can’t be obese and healthy it’s not shame it’s helping u get healthy no one was made to be fat
hamza zaghdoud celebrities have influence she influencing young people to live an unhealthy lifestyle they make it out like losing weight and getting into shape is wrong it’s not
@@Haleykearse Nah try again. The point she is making is no one should be shamed for their body. Body shaming is about bullying people. In order for you to be healthy, you need to love yourself to know how to take care of your body. Eating disorders and low self-esteem go hand in hand. You know what happens when you unsollicitedly comment on someone's body, their self-esteem goes lower. My first comment mentions that weight issues are not an easy fix and they go beyond your food diet and most people who struggle with their weight know what's up. They do not need to hear it from you.
wow.. this got me in tears.. knowing I only would see these kind of people on the screen of my phone also made me sad. my skin and my size is always be a trouble for other people and got me thinking I should change it.. How much more can I admire Lizzo?? It’s boundless apparently because every time I hear or watch an interview she says something else that makes me adore her more!!
I've been in love with Jameela Jamil for the longest time, I can't believe I didn't know about this TH-cam channel. Also, all the love to Lizzo, I am so glad this interview exists, and I just want to thank both of the women in it, but also every person in general who fights for these discussions to be had and heard. ♡♡♡
I wish I could've had this as a young girl. I grew up hating my self and having that desire of waking up in a different body. Even at my best shape I received all sorts of criticism from my own family for not being lighter skinned, or having straight hair, or not being perfectly skinny when I was at a very healthy 130 lbs. It's such a shame that we are trained to think we need to look a certain way to be happy and beautiful when we just need to love ourselves and follow whatever dream we have without fear of look based judgement. I appreciate this so much and I'm glad my daughter will have women like this to watch as she grows up and becomes her own woman.
I just needed to see this interview at this moment. Because I never hated myself this bad as this night. Thanks Lizzo and Jameela this is so important.
TWO ICONS. Love this conversation so much. I feel so empowered by this. Both are in the top of favorite celebrities for their personalities, work. and also on my hottest list bc DAMN CUTE PEOPLE
tw: mentions of su***de i can back to comment that i was in the hospital last week after one of many suicide attempts and this one was over my body. when i was let out, after getting home, i watched this. with self-confidence and body positivity, i’m slowly getting there! sometimes i dip down and plummet and crash in the little chart of confidence, but i’ve been spottily attempting since 12, and i’m now nearly 17. in the last 5 years, i’ve seen a lot of progress and i’ve seen a lack thereof. at the moment i’m feeling horrible, but last month i felt amazing, and i just want to express that that both jameela and lizzo played their parts in that! i genuinely cannot fathom how to explain the way this made me feel. i am forever grateful for the both of you, and i will forever adore and look up to the both of you. mwah
I loved both of you!! This interview was so natural, I never expected to watch the entire thing. I truly appreciate Lizzo's efforts to choose to be inclusive! There's so much division and I really loved hearing that from her.
Thank You!!! I can't believe how familiar everything Lizzo has said about accepting her body the way it is! And I realize I'm at the beginning of my journey and there are so many things I need to unlearn. Discussions like this are extremely helpful ❤️ On a different note, there's a mistake in subs. At 6:33 Jameela says: "Did you leave that person" not "believe")
This made me sob throughout ❣❣❣❣❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😭😭😭😭😭 iWeigh has been such a journey of unlearning and understanding things that were holding me back. On my first professional gig the CEO said to me as i was crying with gratitude for the singing job "ignore the guitar and banjo work - focus on your makeup and style skills" - thank god i ignored him. But the weight thing and looks thing has been something that's a real struggle in the music industry especially in bands and hotels in the middle east and china. I'm so grateful for this movement 💕💕💕💕
ugh i love you both !! and yes like Jameela said, Lizzo has inspired me too with her "agressive" style of self-love. Girl! =D thanks for this episode!!
I'm really loving these talks and the message and information I get to learn, while also getting to watch my idols talk about body positivity and feminism. ♥️♥️♥️
I loved this talk! The comparison about body odor and social media is really eye opening! We always forget that people say stuff online that they Would Not say to your face. Rule of thumb: If you wouldn't say it to their face, don't post it online either. People are using filters where it's Not needed and they're Not filtering their thoughts one bit when kindness is key. Second thing I loved was how empowering she was about feminism in general. It's so important to move beyond being a victim and empowering ourselves each other! It's easy to complain and slowly forgot the goal is to learn from opportunities we are given and ride the wave to success! These women are wonderful examples to follow 💕💕💕 thank you, ladies!
Good god... Lizzo is SO BEAUTIFUL! I have such an extreme infatuation with her! Anyway, this was a great interview! It’s so cool to hear these two women speak so candidly about these topics.
Great interview - interestingly, I was a "skinny little white girl" (although I'm half Latino) and I was bullied and ridiculed ALL through school since 4th grade. Called names, and never picked for any team in phys ed. When I was the last one when they were choosing teams, the teacher assigned me to the 'unlucky team' who got stuck with me. When I walked over to that team, the collective "ugh" could be heard from them all. My parents also raised us with "you have no opinion" - so there was so much that is now out in the open. I had identity issues to the max, and they are still being worked with through various healing modalities.
Both are so awesome I’m so late to these videos but wow their so entertaining and informative and comforting I’ hope great things continue to come to both
I just LOVE these women SO much!!! SO happy they’ve brought so much needed attention to the body positivity discussions!! I just fell more deeply in live with Lizzo😘🥰💗 and her dedication to her fan/friend base, listening to everyone! She’s incredible ✨💗💗💗
I've never really listened to Lizzo's music (other than her SNL appearance) but she always seemed like a joyful person. Watching this, I think she's my new hero. And with Jameela, I could seriously watch 5 hours of this interview. The love, the joy, the deep questions, the humor... wow... so good!
This interview was soo relatable! I love how down to earth, open and humble she is! We are all beautiful in our own ways and should never want to change to fit the stereotypes of society! 🙌🏻💞
2 smart, accomplished, and beautiful women talking openly about body positivity, speaking up to empower fellow women.... truly inspiring! Thank you so much for adding your voices to the important conversation of self-love. I really appreciate this honest interview.
I'm nonbinary and disabled and yeah when Lizzo said they don't want me to live huh I felt it!! I've been getting through the pandemic out of sheer fucking spite and I've really neglected that inner power and love. Thanks for making this, food for thought.
This is the most enlightening, big truth energy conversation I have seen in this crazy year. These two people are so raw and humble and vigilant and truthful. Thank you!
The interview Lizzo mentions was with StyleLikeU - their Whats Underneath series. You can find it on TH-cam. An amazing series and a great interview with Lizzo. Thanks for this
When did it become okay to constantly talk / judge a women's physicality? ALWAYS .... Am trying to educate my male friends, who are actually very respectful gentlemen , that some of their talk / banter about women could do with a rethink. Very frustrating when you are made out to be over sensitive. No, we are ALL sensitive about certain issues and maintaining relationships means you listen, make notes and then are cognizant of those issues in future conversations. I am happy to make those accommodations for my close family and friends, I do not find that a burden at all. Thank you Lizzo and Jameela , this conversation was brilliant !
I can so relate to this being never ever being overweight most my life having a great shape then had child #3 gained weight and it didn’t leave. I have worked out starved myself had an husband at time made me feel horrible. Now at 43 I realize it’s what I think n feel that matters. I try to make healthy choices but not tear myself apart. I am me!!! You love it or don’t and if not keep it to yourself. I love all of me no matter the size. She is a wonderful example for all girls n women with body issues.
This is gunna be really random, but I’m here in the comments and saw your display pic and that’s 1000% some art I put up on my insta years ago. Haha, I just thought what a crazy little coincidence that someone here likes my pic enough to use it as their DP. :))
i really love Lizzo, her personality, her friendliness, her positivity, her frankness and her music ofc! This is a much needed conversation during this time. Thank you for everything! I love you both.
They’re gorgeous inside and out 💛 I’m privileged in a lot of ways for sure. I go back and forth some days I know myself and other days the confidence ain’t there. I’ve been free from my ed for years now and I don’t want to go back there. It’s so good to see people speaking about colourism, racism, body positivity, online hate and cancel culture cause it counters all the other awful messages we all get constantly even from people who don’t mean to. Inclusive intersectional feminism and empathy 💛💛💛
Lizzo is talking about the StyleLikeU youtube series! It is an AMAZING interview series run by a mother and daughter. I highly suggest it! Wow, I love her honesty about the body positivity movement and unlearning.
I love this series so much.. It's so genuine. Thank you so much for opening a portal where people- even high-profile people who are focused on by the public- can talk about human things! And thank you for the captions.

I feel your pain Jessamyn Rose!
@z z I mean, yes, I'm sure you can. I might have an answer.
(ge was upper middle class, white, and had literally no predisposition towards poor health.) Our asso rate pastor (a fiery little redhead, who had been called a cripple all her childhood because of her bone disorder and having one leg longer than the other) interrupted him and said "and if you come to this church we will have cake in the foyer EvErY sUnDaY!" Which was true lol
They'll body shame you, but they often do it around a mouthful of cake because the can eat one piece and not have their physical/emotional health affected notably.
I'm so glad that I'm fortunate enough to get exposure to feminist content from a young age.
- A gay black guy in a white gay man’s world
💜
You're a king
@@roxc453 it takes courage to speak out. I appreciate it.
What you said isn't dumb at all. There's a lot that men can take from this video. Whether it's how they view their own body image, or checking the way in which they police the image of women.
More power😘 to you and live your truth🤗

Best interview I’ve seen in a while 😻💛
Yes, it's insightful
Here's that interview that Lizzo couldn't recall, it's so good!
th-cam.com/video/-8wKpyjUons/w-d-xo.html
As a gay, recently disabled trans man a lot of this hit home and I love two strong influential women standing up and talking out for inclusivity and using their platform to promote such a great message and give out so much love.
All the love to you my love❤️💗😘
Sending you love from Wales, UK 💚💚🌎🌎
People make her out to be this crazy loud lady but she is very articulate and understanding. Love ya Lizzo ❤.
When I, a dark-skinned woman, laughed with Lizzo when she said she was accused of blackface (WTF?) 😅 People really try it. Loved this interview!
Nowadays people wanna "look" like a good person.
I laughed too while shaking my head in disbelief 🤦🏿♀️🙄 on trolls would do that to Lizzo only trolls.
Thank you Jameela and Lizzo for making this 😍❤️
They are both so gorgeous. And this talk is everything.
THE COLLAB I DIDNT KNOW I NEEDED
i could literally listen to jameela for HOURS? she is so articulate and wonderful 🥺
Hey.
@@chaniaaliyah If Grace's profile picture didn't have her skin colour attached to it, would you have made that comment? Just wondering.
@@chaniaaliyah so sorry if it came across that way, not my intention at all! i just think she speaks beautifully! i'll be sure to be more careful next time, thank you for telling me
“My job in this world is communication”, girl I felt that!!!
I really, really needed this today. The self-loathing was quite loud today. Thank you for helping me recalibrate my perspective. Love you both ☺️
Why? You have the most beautiful smile ever! It's like the sun is shining from you gal!
Sending you love till you can love yourself on your own
this conversation is so relaxing even though they're talking about hard issues
beautiful interview. BRAVO! Thank you for this
Jameela and Lizzo have both helped me so much, im a bearish, camp, gay, geeky white man/NB person with a disability.
Sending u
You are such a warrior
All the love babe. ❤️ Let's do this 😎😎
The day gets better with an upload from Jameela . Lots of love
Thank you.
I don't like to stan celebrities but I feel like I'd want to be her friend.
It's cool to not only hear both these ladies talk, but to also hear them talk about how it took them a while to go on their own journeys of self-acceptance for themselves. I love how they use their platforms to discuss all the issues going on with women and the media and how it depict unrealistic pictures of them.
Same!
Right? They both have wise big sister energy! I just want to go to a nice restaurant with them, talk about our experiences as women, and pay for their meals as a thank you!
@@wambo5743 totally! They keep it real and so approachable.
The channel Lizzo was talking about was StyleLikeU. Such a powerful channel! I started watching them in high school! 7+ yrs ago!
It's such an amazing, empowering channel!!!! :')
I love Stylelikeu!
Lizzo's interview- th-cam.com/video/-8wKpyjUons/w-d-xo.html
At 6:32, the captions say "did you believe that person" but should be "did you leave that person"
Having the automatic captions os distracting at first, because Im watching it, and read that line and she says "ok, good" lol.. i was so confused... i had to rewind and listen to it again.
At 9:10 shes talking about the interview she did with StyleLikeU.
I love Elisa & Lily so much. The work they do really is - as Lizzo attests - life-changing! x

Man it sucks how everybody bashes her weight. Ppl just want to hate on someone bc of their insecurity 👀👀
Why is she overweight?
I never realised how pretty Lizzo actually is. She's VERY pretty, articulate as well. 2 beautiful, intelligent, well spoken women here.
Lizzo is beautiful
This is quite literally one of the best interviews I've ever seen. I strongly admire you both x
The interview she’s referring to is from StyleLikeU if anyone is interested in watching
:)
It's all in the little things and little comments that people make. And you just subconsciously internalise it. I felt that. #RespectTheJourney.
Two of my very favorite queens at once! Praise the Goddess!
Lizzos lyrics have provided me with so much confidence during some dark times. We live you girl!!!
@@Haleykearse You are missing the point. Your physician should give you health advice, not randos online.
hamza zaghdoud celebrities have influence she influencing young people to live an unhealthy lifestyle they make it out like losing weight and getting into shape is wrong it’s not
@@Haleykearse have you ever seen her tiktok?
her videos are litteraly the opposite 🤦
she exercise and she is Vegan
It's like I never accept myself because other people could never
I dont even know if this text makes sense.. I wrote while crying
I had a horrible day today, you just made it better thank you soo much jameela and lizzo ❤❤ I love both you,ICONSS.
Check out Simone Giertz on yt to laugh and feel better!

How much more can I admire Lizzo?? It’s boundless apparently because every time I hear or watch an interview she says something else that makes me adore her more!!
This is the absolute cutest empowering conversation about body positivity and women everrrrrrr. love this combo
Nadya Sy me too! 🥰❤️
Fell in love with Jameela in The Good Place! Her Indian looks with that British accent is just wow!!!! Now seeing her here is fresh!!!!
This is beautiful. The best two women to speak on these topics. Every woman on earth needs to hear this interview.
this made me cry because this makes me feel so hopeful
she is inspiring for being so body positive. Hopefully more people are open minded. Every body is beautiful, regardless of the size
I just needed to see this interview at this moment. Because I never hated myself this bad as this night. Thanks Lizzo and Jameela this is so important.
TWO ICONS. Love this conversation so much. I feel so empowered by this.
Both are in the top of favorite celebrities for their personalities, work. and also on my hottest list bc DAMN CUTE PEOPLE
tw: mentions of su***de
i can back to comment that i was in the hospital last week after one of many suicide attempts and this one was over my body. when i was let out, after getting home, i watched this. with self-confidence and body positivity, i’m slowly getting there! sometimes i dip down and plummet and crash in the little chart of confidence, but i’ve been spottily attempting since 12, and i’m now nearly 17. in the last 5 years, i’ve seen a lot of progress and i’ve seen a lack thereof. at the moment i’m feeling horrible, but last month i felt amazing, and i just want to express that that both jameela and lizzo played their parts in that!
i genuinely cannot fathom how to explain the way this made me feel. i am forever grateful for the both of you, and i will forever adore and look up to the both of you. mwah
I loved both of you!! This interview was so natural, I never expected to watch the entire thing. I truly appreciate Lizzo's efforts to choose to be inclusive! There's so much division and I really loved hearing that from her.
this video is oozing confidence ✨ and im here for it😌
Thank You!!! I can't believe how familiar everything Lizzo has said about accepting her body the way it is! And I realize I'm at the beginning of my journey and there are so many things I need to unlearn. Discussions like this are extremely helpful ❤️
On a different note, there's a mistake in subs.
Thank you. I don't think I have enough words for describe how grateful I am for these two beautiful empowered women. Really needed this today.
Absolutely loved this interview!!! What a breath of fresh air 💯
I love this whole conversation so much!
ugh i love you both !! and yes like Jameela said, Lizzo has inspired me too with her "agressive" style of self-love. Girl! =D thanks for this episode!!
I'm really loving these talks and the message and information I get to learn, while also getting to watch my idols talk about body positivity and feminism. ♥️♥️♥️
You are both so beautiful and inspiring. Thank you girls
They both constantly make me want to reach further to be a better person. This was the pep talk and perspective I needed today. 💕🙌
My two favourite people in the world thank you so much for this I can’t wait to watch it when I get home 😭❤️
Lizzo is so eloquent. The way she puts such complex ideas into words is seriously so concise and intelligent
Good god... Lizzo is SO BEAUTIFUL! I have such an extreme infatuation with her! Anyway, this was a great interview! It’s so cool to hear these two women speak so candidly about these topics.
This conversation was so beautiful and I think it vocalized a lot of thoughts so many of us have had. Words can't express the impact of this.
I didn't plan to watch this entire interview but it was soo good , congratulations on this interviews and talking about the things that matter
This was everything I needed to hear today. Thank you, Lizzo and Jameela.
Both are so awesome I’m so late to these videos but wow their so entertaining and informative and comforting I’ hope great things continue to come to both
Never listened to her music or been aware of her but damn im a fan now lizzo you're laugh is infectious 🌸🌸🥰🥰
Listen to her music!! She’s amazing!!
I think thay are not only so open minded, but also brilliant and smart.
"I'm so happy you're in this world" - the best compliment EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know what the haters see when they look at lizzo. Coz all I see is pure beauty inside and out . like girl is sttttunning
This is so freaking inspirational, honestly I feel like crying when I hear about what these amazing strong women have gone through
This is the most enlightening, big truth energy conversation I have seen in this crazy year.
These two people are so raw and humble and vigilant and truthful. Thank you!
I love you lizzo, I love the way you love yourself so purely, I love your music, it gives me comfort
Thank you Lizzo and Jameela , this conversation was brilliant !
this was so refreshing.. thank you both for the authentic, honest conversation👏👏🌌✨✨✨
This interview must be old because all I can focus on is how close they're sitting to each other!
This is gunna be really random, but I’m here in the comments and saw your display pic and that’s 1000% some art I put up on my insta years ago. Haha, I just thought what a crazy little coincidence that someone here likes my pic enough to use it as their DP. :))

They’re gorgeous inside and out 💛 I’m privileged in a lot of ways for sure. I go back and forth some days I know myself and other days the confidence ain’t there. I’ve been free from my ed for years now and I don’t want to go back there.
