quick tip , when rebuilding , either sand the diff rings with 1000 wet or dry paper and a spot of oil , or flip the diff rings to the unused side and replace the balls with silicone nitride si3n balls 3mm or carbide balls 3mm , then once assembled and tightened , do the slip check as detailed in the manual ,

bought one of these back around 2000 for my tl01 colin mcrae wrc ford focus, but never got round to getting the 2nd (shop only had 1 in stock all those years ago) as its a 4 wheel drive model and never even opened the packet as a result, but now know what im getting myself into, gonna get a 2nd one ordered and then get them fitted and have a blast with the car that i havent touched in years
Tamiya ball diff is pre set , if all the washers and conical spring washers are not fitted correctly the diff will slip , but if all is good you 'fully tighten 'it and the diff will be perfect and give just the right amount of over steer rotation when cornering . its all detailed in the Tamiya ta02 manual and many others where the diff was included in a kit.

I replaced mine with the same gear diff from the front, it was too much of a hassle.

Sir how to tight it. It is little bit loose or it need super tight
