What movie am I describing? It has Samuel L Jackson and scarlet Johansen.... (Any of the avengers movies) Is based off of a comic book... (any of the avengers movies) And both of them are wearing swastikas (christ you're talking about the spirit aren't you?) Sadly yes I am.
Wow, Ben's voice actually does sound like a narrator for a Noire film. Or a radio spokesperson from that black and white age that always goes 'Our top story today' before the news. ....he sounds like Jimmy Firecracker!
For a second I thought this movie was actually “Spirit” by Dreamworks and really confused by how many people were hating on it, but then I realized I had the wrong movie lol
Personally, I like the At4w & Bad Movie Beatdown Crossover review of The Spirit to this review. Actually, this is twice NC has re-reviewed Bad Movie Beatdown reviews. First Spirit, then the Brows Held High Crossover review of LXG. What's next, Batman Returns? That was reviewed by Bad Movie Beatdown & Anime Abandon with Bennet the Sage. Still, I did laugh a lot at Doug's review of Spirit, especially when it lead into the Deadpool 2 review.
I been wanting you guys to react to the Nostalgia Critic: Lady in the water review for a long time now and you're doing it NOW! not tomorrow, not after breakfast, NOW!!!
The only things that can kind of be explained lboutfrank miller is that he is someone who 911 really deeply effected. he knew he couldn't just do the sin city art style and started re adding colour but didn't change how he pencilled making them look really bad and that from 2003 onwards his drinking really intensified and only got worse over time most noticeable around the days of holy terror and many in the industry have been pointing to those as reasons for the state he was in for so long.
1:38 I would just like to point out that that line’s position as a bad opener is hotly debated by literary historians and experts, and that while it may or may not be bad, it is probably the most famous opening line of all time.
To be fair, in the source material The Spirit is a total manslut. Or a harem anime protagonists. He has around 10 love interests throughout the series. Some appear once. P'Gel, Sand, and Ellen are mainstays. A lot of them don't survive because they fall for this guy while working for people that want to kill him. But yeah, he gets around. THAT SAID, this movie sucks all the life out of all these gorgeous and often surprisingly devious, strong willed, and badass women. Just like it does every character. Also, the Octopus here is a goof. A loon. He has no connection to the always-shadowed, Dr. Claw like original who got his name because he has his tentacles in all 8 major categories of crime (racketeering, laundering, drugs, counterfeiting, prostitution, gambling, blackmail, and murder). And OMG, how did this go so wrong?!
"Frank Miller Has gone of The deep end here recently" ... Recently?! O_o This movie is from 2008 All Star Batman & Robin was published since 2005 if you're a fan of a certain Internet comicbook reviewer you know just how nad that thing was. Its 2018 now The Guy went nuts over a decade ego thats not recent
So soon after the last NC reaction? YAY! I quite enjoyed your reaction to his Ghostbusters review, so I hope you guys react to his Ghostbusters 2 review someday. But to join all the other comments, a Fox Kids reaction would be neato too.
wish there was a Super Friends movie in the 1990s Alec Baldwin As Batman Dean Cain as Superman Julianne Moore as Wonder Woman Will Wheaton As Robin Sean Connery as Alfred Directed By Ron Howard Composer Elmer Bernstein Screenwriter Michael G Willson
As much as I loved Sin City... yeah, I'm really not vibing with Frank Miller. Not just because he's gone off the deep-end since 9/11. I feel like the whole "comics could be for adults" was mostly done in bad-faith and became an excuse to be as edgelord as possible. Watchmen is an exception to the rule.
Oh give yourself more credit, your opening monologue was WAAAY more interesting then this film. I would honestly listen to a podcast of it, it was that interesting
12:18 - Is it just me or does The Spirit in this movie seem to think that he's Inspector Gadget? I'm surprised Nostalgia Critic didn't make a Claw joke!
Before I watch, as soon as you’re able, can you react to the season 3 finale of DbZ abridged? Hopefully as a marathon of all three parts? Pretty please?
Watch Nerdcubbed Plays hot dogs horseshoes and hand grenades. I know y'all like guns so thus should make you laugh and I hope you react to him more pls

CycloneShadow it’s just some guy who sadly started in his first and last movie
Ben your narration wasn't as bad as this movie.
He did well
It was better than any of the film's dialogue by miles
Wow, Ben's voice actually does sound like a narrator for a Noire film. Or a radio spokesperson from that black and white age that always goes 'Our top story today' before the news.
....he sounds like Jimmy Firecracker!
You're goddamn right.
He does a pretty good Transatlantic accent
For a second I thought this movie was actually “Spirit” by Dreamworks and really confused by how many people were hating on it, but then I realized I had the wrong movie lol
Love that Intro Ben you should be in a Noire Film.
Music:
*Night on the Docks by Kevin MacLeod.*
You're Welcome
@@cinemagraphic6324 thank you very much
Oh he has told me before that he loves film noir!
I enjoyed the intro to. It kind of reminded me of the video game LA Noire
Fun Fact: Young Sand is played by Seychelle Gabriel (Asami from Legend of Korra)
For more details on Frank Miller's insanity, see the show Atop the Fourth Wall
Totally, specially looking at All Star Batman and Holly Terror.

Holy Terror was holy shit.
Say...its miller time.
"I got eight of everything"
8 minions?
8 thousand/million dollars?
8 vehicles?
8 Exes?
I saw this movie..in theaters...on Christmas day when it came out O__O what a horrible way to spend your Christmas morning
Frank Miller should never direct a film ever again!
Garrick Groover and he should NEVER WRITE COMIC BOOKS AGAIN!!
@@Batmanbeyyond Frank Miller should never LIVE again.
C'mon Death, can't you go hang out with Thanos for awhile? I know the dude's clingy and tries way too hard, but it's gotta be better than this.
This is not what I expected in Black Widow and Nick Fury's origin story
Nostalgia critic fox kids. Do it now!!!
The 3 Fr33m4nn I don’t get it
What the hell is that beginning? Ben I love you for that noir, that's just brilliant! Love it so much.
That opening was fantastic! I think we need some more Renegade noir videos.
Wait Sam jackson is the octopus? But that make no sense In the comic he wore purple gloves
11:00 Suddenly, I understand why Deadpool is into her.
16:48 Suddenly, I'm getting Silent Hill: Dead/Alive flash backs...
When I hear "I am the Octopus," I can't help but think of the Eric Andre bit, with that line.
The intro killed me Phahahahaha
Quality bit. We need more
Also...its Miller time
I been wanting you guys to react to the Nostalgia Critic: Lady in the water review for a long time now and you're doing it NOW!

Three brilliant Freakazoid moments and no reaction from any of them...
I know, I'm amazed there wasn't even a faint chuckle.
The fact that there was no cut from Ben's grizzled detective voice to average person makes it even more funny

I love The Spirit, best comedy Frank Miller ever made.
That intro is amazing
Nice Intro guys!
Doug's young Frank Miller looks like Adam Johnston
It was a dark and stormy night....
...and I lost the connection to the internet. It is going to be a long night.
wait , wait . wait ....
SO this movie was made as real movie ? I dont know the original comics But I always thought it was meant as Camp
I don’t know how the red shot was confusing, it was kind of just a showcase of how intense the emotions of the scene was
Critic, don't hit on Death unless you want to deal with Deadpool AND Thanos.
It was a dark and stormy night, so I stayed in bed.
