Why this masterpiece of filmmaking has to be taken off Netflix ? On every level Borgias Faith and Fear is 100 % more superior than the other Borgia tV series Please bring it back !
I watched this on a smallAcer computer in Ohio free…. It was very hard to relocate it again during Covid… please send me a copy…. My historical studies were completely fulfilled… understanding the papacy… thankyou Tom..genius
Awesome show! Loved it! But does anyone else feel like the characters of Goffredo/Jofre Borgia, Sancia Squillace/d'Aragona, and Michelotto/Miguel de Corella could have been less down-played in the first season?
I meant to add,using Italians speaking English,but my fella was shrieking about dinner,and I lost my concentration!Medici on Netflix is good.Season 3 due out in England Jan,2020.🌷
I preferred jeremy irons version but they cut it after Season 3.I thought this version didnt have to use such language.Didnt like the German accents much,or the pope bring American.Thought they could make a good one using English speaking actors for the parts.BUT each to their own!!London
the issue i have with this show is they repeatedly get confused that Cesare was the older brother. Yes he was second to 1 other son who died (supposedly killed by Juan in this show) but Juan was still the younger which was why Cesare went into the church to follow the father's footsteps. In the show they've been inconsistent though, one moment getting it right but then repeatedly getting it wrong. Even here, Mark calls him the second son and Stanley calls Juan the eldest son. Just cuz Juan was the favourite doesn't make him the oldest.
I personally prefer the american version "The Borgias". I do not like realism, it's disgusting. But I fell more for Cesare in Faith and Fear than in The Borgias. Cesare in FaF is more Borgia bull, in my opinion.

The other Borgias is Showtime's. They're completely different productions. And this one is much better ;)
I absolutely loved these 35 plus episodes....completely blown away. Brilliantly done and beautifully written.
John Doman is the best actor in the series. Absolutely brilliant.
If you have never seen the Wire he is in that show as well (not a main character but is in all 5 seasons.) Best TV series of all time in my opinion.
