Yup. And also satiating it a little bit too, but absolutely - but yeah, his (and Shiey's) videos have really made me want to visit the Balkans, like a lot, but yeah a general wish to travel.
I’ve lived beside train yards for nearly 2 decades, and since I started watching Poison, Shiey, and others a number of years ago, I’ve been so tempted to just pack some things, hop on a train, and go. Problem is that in Canada, that’s a hell of a commitment. The first yard you reach may be hundreds of kilometers away. There also seems to be more security here too, and no good types of cars to ride. (I find it a bit humorous that I pay so much attention to trains now, judging if they could be ridden or not lol) Needless to say, I may need to make a trip to Europe while I’m still relatively young, and cross this off my bucket list.
Thanks man for putting our street music in your video :) Super relaxing to see you wander. The musicians are Emi on bass, Davide on bouzuki and me (Matteo) on cajon, we're called Amici del Fiume and we often play improvised music in that passage.
The term "dad lore" is making me nostalgic now. Like the time my dad told me how he was gifted a sword in Qatar but upon returning home airport security cut the blade off, leaving just the hilt and the scabbard.
Filming the guys playing in that passage and keeping the music for the next scenes was brilliant. The combination of your adventuring and excellent filmmaking skills is why i always look forward to you videos! Thank you!
I like how this video was essentially just Poison and his friends living the homeless life for a couple of days, Aki's 'kitchen', staying in the toilet of the passenger trains to avoid the inspectors and Tomz galloping through the snow like a majestic elk. Perfection.
"Since there were no trains running, we decided to take a car" is the craziest one liner i never would have expected from this channel. incredible video as usual
It’s crazy to see that your video’s are still getting better every time. While being om such a level already. It watched like a film. The plot in the last 5 min made me honesty forget the world around me. Ending with the car ‘joke’ and amazingly picked tunes. Whatever life brings you, please dont stop making films.
Boy has this month been utter shit GIFGAS, my best friend died, my relationship fell apart, I been a mess, but your video comes out today and I feel happy to see you again man. One foot infront of the other and on forward we go.
Man, another absolutely amazing video! Everytime you upload, I fall in love with your filming style again! You have a way of making even the most plain of places feel magical, like a Studio Ghibli film! The end felt so intense, and the cut to you inside of a car was awesome!
this transition from no train coming to "just get a car" felt so much like an ending of oceans eleven or smth! Veeeery cinematic and fckn well made man... your getting my fav "train hopper" rn.
This has got to be my favourite trainshopping video I've ever seen It has everything dudes making jokes, a guy in women's stockings, good music, a trip through breathtaking snowy mountains, pretending to be railroad workers and so much more Thank you for this great video, I hope to see more like this Good luck and stay safe
Shay's vlog showed me a new perspective of the world, Poison's vlog allowed me to live them. For the adventurer slumbering deep inisde me, It is a pleasure that atleast you are able to be able to go on these tours, smell the air, feel the environment, and sleep under the infinite canopy. You will remember these moments to the end and will have no regrets about not living your life to the fullest. You will have great stories to share.
Tbh his shots are so beautifully made that you can almost feel like you can touch every wall, flip every rock, fly above the mountains, taste the water and smell the air like you're there with him. You can feel the environment which is rare. Deep respect for this dude. Keep it going.
25:53 That's one of the reasons I generally avoid travelling by train, here in Sweden the train tends to be roughly twice as expensive as buses are. Only time I really used trains allot was when I commuted to a school in Skara, that and when I was gonna spend time with my tabletop roleplaying game group. One nice thing however is that the trains are quite nice and smooth in Sweden, especially the X2000.They are so much nicer than a cramped, sweaty bus. You get what you pay for.
Bro please don't ever stop making videos. The visuals and the music are what makes yours stand out from the rest. You got me on the one adventure going through the alps with Slowdive playing and then short change hero on this one.. incredible

Een fantastische film! Zo goed ge-edit en je brengt de sfeer zo goed over alsof ik zelf de reis maak. Tot het einde een groot avontuur dat mijn aandacht vasthield, enorm bedankt!
GIFGAS is the best filmmaker of modern times. Such gorgeous footage captured throughout and pieced together by his travels. The editing and music choice and the way the vlog gives way to these stunning moments. It's really good vibes any time there is a new video.
Gifgas, I am currently waiting for my friend to pick me up and take me to the airport. This will be my first time overseas (I’m from Australia) and I would like to thankyou for these videos. They have inspired me to take life into my own hands and to go on an adventure.
Gifgas always have good timing, been dreading going back to school and these videos help soothe me! Thank you gifgas, keep doing what you are doing! 🔥❤
50:40 On top of the fact that Short Change Hero by The Heavy is already an amazing song, a lot of people got their first listen to the it from the Borderlands 2 intro cutscene where the song starts immediately after a train plows straight through a car. So seeing the song's main part begin inside of a car on a train felt especially appropriate for this kind of train travel.
"First time in France, what do you think?" "..... I'm hungry" Golden. Keep up the great work man, love your videos and the tales you tell through them!
Poison your editing at this point is phenomenal, I'm taking notes. Also great eye for cinematic shots. It's the attention to detail that make these so relaxing and enjoyable to watch.
the thing i really love about these vids is the way that you yourself arent the focus. Its the friendships, the fun you have and the discoveries you make, so different to most other content on this platform.
I feel a lot of pressure in my life with homelessness and emotional family pain. Your videos have an impact on the stress and I feel less alone. You give me hope and inspiration. Bless you brother. Your a beautiful human being
Absolutely beautiful. Just found your channel recently and now I'm watching every single one of your videos. All your videos are beautifully made and I wish one day I too can travel without a destination in mind. Not all wanderers are lost.
I just love this video! The trip itself was super cool and I loved seeing the places you visited so raw and up close. The music is dope and the street musician music weaved into the film was brilliant. Overall editing was so smooth and carried the story forward. So many cool shots and camera angles as well. Thanks for sharing the journey with us 🙏
