This week Patrick Adair Designs the ring blank for a Green Lantern Power Ring! Patrick is trying to create one good enough that he can receive an invite to OA, and starting is the first step! This is one of our most complex rings yet, and is actually a two part video. Expect the second part next week!

Hey guys, I just wanted to let everyone know this is MY ring being made by Patrick, and I am very pleased and excited to see how he interprets the Green Lantern design. I came up with the idea to have this made out of meteorite and Patrick was more excited than me, I think lol. Such a nice, and professional person. I wont tell you what I paid, but it is worth every penny. Thank you Patrick for being a pleasure to work with and a very professional craftsman. Cant wait for part two!!!!

Patrick, maybe use a layered effect with glow powder at the bottom and moldivite which is a green meterorite as center jewel. Good luck and looking forward to the end result.
Am I the only one who wants to see him make the One Ring? This was cool and amazing. I didn't even know that Timascus was even a thing till I learned of his channel!

Great as always! That is a massive ring at this point.
I don't know a lot about ring making and metals and stuff, but if you feel unsure about something you're going to do on the meteorite ring, I would definitely test it on a piece of scrap or something first. Best to have it fail on something you don't care about than ruining the nice meteorite!

I liked seeing the mill! You should use it more and get a better vice. Found mine on eBay for 40$ and it works very well. That's the mill I have. I have put some upgrades on it. For ring making I recommend getting a 3" or 4" rotary table from eBay. Lots of them come with chucks already. A large rotary table might not fit on the mini mill. Make sure it fits.
Nice video btw. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. That rotary table might help with making the symbol and design of the ring.

I liked the finished product but I also liked the pic in the thumbnail. I ofcourse have my own power ring but it is not nearly as fancy as this one.
I don't know what stone/glow the buyer wants in this piece, but a nice piece of Moldivite would be so awesome! Thank you for sharing with us.

I don’t know much about green lantern but the ring shoots a laser right? So when it is done, you could make some fog and point a green laser pointer at it, so the fog makes it look like it’s shooting from the ring for the thumbnail.

Hi, just to let ya know u have inspired me to make my own rings but what I would like to know is before u start your first cut into the materials wat are the measurements you use to know that the width, length, height etc is correct, so when I start I know the materials measurements r correct
+kiabushy well it all depends on the ring size you want. Figure that out with a ring size chart then calculate everything based of of that. Leave a little extra room for error as well.

Dude makes rings worth 2,000$ but he cant afford a proper mill? HE USED AN ENDMILL IN A DRILL CHUCK. Every machinist is cringing right now. I do like your work but... damn that was hard to watch.
