I say hats off to New York Yacht Club American Magic. You were all exceptional in this campaign; be proud of the fact that out of the challengers, you were the only one to beat the Kiwis in the ACWS. Terry's management of the capsize and this defeat really reflects on him as a leader in the team. I hope we see you again, New York Yacht Club, in the 37th America's Cup. - Love, from an Emirates Team New Zealand supporter. :)

I wasn't hoping for them to win, but I never wanted them to lose like this. I feel very badly for the team. There just wasn't enough time to get Patriot back into fighting form after the capsize/near sinking. Another week might have given them time to be more competitive. I hope to see them all back at it in 2025. (I feel that a lot of the criticism of Dean Barker was undeserved). They are all great competitors and had a very good chance to go all the way. Way to go guys. You can be proud of your achievements. Getting Patriot back in 9 days was an amazing accomplishment on it's own and your racing record before Christmas showed you all had the right stuff.

I got an emotion, this is fantasticat at the end the tribute to the America Magic Team. Hutchison said we will be back for sure to the Next competition. This is what make special America cup.
Fantastic to see the outstanding example of Sportsmanship displayed especially during the past few weeks with American Magic having the structural and mechanical difficulties incurred. The Sailors from all the teams and in fact all members of all the teams had hoped for a much different regatta with such a small and fascinating fleet of new very special designed boats, top of the World Class sailors I am sure the whole world watching was hoping for a much more competitive regatta in terms of sailing and equipment not failing.. Patriot showed her turn of speed as being very capable and highly competitive and her hull design has heads spinning around the world, wondering had if???.I can only imagine its a very tough experience to have to accept and live with after 4 years of dreaming, creating and striving for a much different outcome....but that's sports! Already looking forward to 2025 challenges!...go get em!

What a sad end to the story. But the team should proud for not giving up. The resilience fighting spirit of the team was inspiring. I hope this team comes back for the 37th America's Cup.
It shows us all, the fate of so many hangs by such slender threads and micro second decisions... all subject to the capricious winds of change. The only lose would have been not to compete.
From another red, white and blue flag nation: I am still proud of you. I hope you guys give that Austrian fellow in California a call and 'you'll be back'. Already looking forward to it. Cheers guys.
This campaign designed the fastest boat straight line. This campaign did an incredible job fixing basically a total loss within 10 days. This campaign tried to get the cup in a fair and sporty matter. This campaign has to show up in the next event again!
Fairytale not to be sadly. As a Kiwi was really rooting for this to be an inspiring comeback. They deserved it. Hold your heads high. Think one idea to improve the Cup other than the obvious having more competitors is: that within budgets it is a requirement that much like F1 teams, need enough spares, or a spare boat to allow for quick turnaround in the event of a disaster. Scary thought but what if this boat did not make it back, and then say another had a similar issue. It would then be a non-event and therefore quite vulnerable as an investment and spectacle. Thoughts?
This was not the way American Magic deserved to go out of AC36! I hope you will be given another chance to show what's in the team for AC37. Also, thanks for letting Deano speak out.
