I can honestly say one of the things I see that could be an issue is playing the villain, waiting for your turn can be long if the heroes keep table talking
@@pwootton24 Yeah I see space for both, and if I had kids, would get this in a heartbeat, but for all the heroes I want, its just gonna be really expensive and not sure I want to spend that much on it. Base game just doesn't have enough for me in it.
Can we expect a supervillain pack for the existing villains from the first campaign and revised rules for expansions like Infinity Gauntlet and Sinister Six?
I was wondering this too, It would be great to be able to play all the villains. I think its possible with the way the separate Super Villain deck works.
@@lukejw11 That's not really what I was asking, but looking at the video again, it's looking like the supervillain and superhero cards are not character specific, so they probably don't need a set to update the past campaign. I'd still like to see how this mode could be incorporated into the expansions, though, especially the ones that use multiple villains.

Could Magneto have taken that first Bam, gotten KO’ed, and then healed up at the beginning of his next turn? Sabretooth would have Bam’ed again, but at least Magneto would be back to full.
It would be nice to have new "starting card" for the Marvel united characters. Or, I'll have to house rule with Marvel to pick a card from the deck as as my starting card before random drawing.
I think the idea that the starting card it reflects mutant’s innate superpowers is a good one, and doesn’t need to be applied to every hero. Should be easy to house rule though if desired.

I'm not sure if simply adding cards works, since I don't know if starting cards are just part of the player's normal deck, meaning there aren't any open slots for added specialty cards with the old decks, or if they're in addition to the usual 12 card deck a character has. An upgrade kit cos be interesting with new cards and instructions on which cards to replace, but I don't know that it's necessary. The notion that mutants have some inherent better access to their abilities doesn't make a lot of sense to me, especially compared to more powerful characters in season 1. Speaking of, I'm kind of surprised we didn't get some kind of transformation mechanic with characters like the Hulk.
@@adseigo: No. almost all heroes from the 1st KS have super powers due to an event that has happened to them, training, an item they wield, or other external event. In comparison nearly all mutants have innate powers.

Its not that the powers are always on, but they have always the potential for them. I think it works well as an explanation for starting cards. I would say that it's a non issue on this game due to the 'real' game being actually very short. It's usually a 15/20 mn game.

I am sticking with Marvel Champions but this new mode makes it very tempting. And X-men is what got me into comics...

There aren’t many anti-heroes in the existing MU villains. One for Loki would be great though.
