He was being facetious. Apologies for being a massive club with a wide fan base, but you keep believing that we all come from the south, or India, or whatever makes you chortle.
Never been a Saints supporter, but good on them for this FA cup title. Must be a great moment and memory for them. Me being a Claret, this wasn't the best of seasons, but seeing this again brings back som ancient magic.
I’m a Liverpool fan but can’t agree with what Emlyn Hughes said there which suggested that QPR would crack under pressure at the end. They didn’t do that. That last game was a home game to Leeds which was certainly a potential banana skin but they won two nil. Nonetheless the fact that Liverpool won the league the year after as well showed they had more than that fine QPR side.
You're absolutely right, QPR won 13 of their last 15, drawing 1 and losing that match against Norwich. Your boys were almost/just as good with 8 wins in 9, credit to both. Meanwhile, my side lost 3 of their last 6 against mediocre opposition, that's cracking, and that would've been the title but you can say that about most title challenges, 'if only'...
Thanks Paul,
Another fine episode in this series!
Love it when he says "Man United fans flocked to Wembley from all the Home Counties" ha ha some things never change :)

PS Emlyn was very entertaining but he didn't half speak a lot of cr@p.
Nice one Dennis, Man U fans flock to Wembley from the Home Counties. Nothing changed there then.
Apart from the man interviewed sounded distinctly northern... or did he just move down to the home countries to help Dennis's joke...?
Southampton goes mad once a saint always a saint
who's watching june 2024
was bobby stokes offside in the fa cup final? i think so
Doesn’t matter! No VAR! 😂😃👍🏻
the tv camera angle gave that impression.. impossible to really say. Buchan could have been playing him on.
It was not David Coleman commentating it was Barry Davies, because his voice is so distinctive.
It was definitely David Coleman, Stokes 1 -0 classic

commentators have signature calls, no need to lose your shit like today's excuse for commentators, just call the game.
CMartin6688 --- You really are a miserable old fuck... And 7 years older too... Probably more miserable.
And the old firm have done it..
One could have added that West Ham reached the european winners' cup final! Lost 4-2 to Anderlecht.
Yeah the United fan on the coach sounded very southern didn’t he?? Bloody lazy stereotype
Coleman
