      You pretty much nailed it, but I slightly prefer Arise over Beneath the Remains. To me Arise is in my top 10 thrash albums ever (even including multiple albums by the same band).

    I must admit man your list was a lot better than mine lol. When I was doing mine I totally forgot about Dark Angel and Annihilator! I actually got super pissed when I realized I forgot Dark Angel lol. I almost included Metal Church as well but most people don't really consider them a thrash band so I left them out. I definitely have to agree with you about Show No Mercy. Imo it is Slayer's best album and its my favorite Slayer album as well. But anyways, awesome video and list! Take care!

    • @AberranceMetal
      @AberranceMetal  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Haha thanks man! Your list was good though. We had a lot of similar bands. Yeah man I had to include those albums. Alice in Hell has some of the best riffing I've ever heard in thrash. So underrated. And yeah I was on the fence about including Metal Church, but I had to lol. As far as Slayer goes, I think Show No Mercy is always overlooked because Reign in Blood gets all the attention. But Show No Mercy was released in 1983, and I think it was pretty ahead of its time, even with all the Venom and NWOBHM influence. Such a killer album. But thanks man, take care as well!

    I respect the fact that you pick Master of Puppets as your favorite thrash album. Most people feel the need to pick something not as "mainstream", but you can't deny the fact that is pretty much the perfect thrash album. Also respect the fact that you actually paid money for all these and have the actual CDs. Awesome list brother!

      Good for you, choosing Spreading the Disease over Among the Living, i agree. BUT,,!! I must disagree with a couple of choices you made release wise, not band wise Overkill, how could you not go with Feel the Fire?! Baffling,,Nuclear Assault- H.w C. Over Survive !? Or The Plague ep even?! Game Over? Hmmm? And Testament- Souls of Black, not only a questionable choice imo considering The Legacy, The New Order, but sob is a weak album altogether even not in comparison, maybe weakest of thier catalouge imo

I like Voivod-killing technology a lot too. Slayer - south of heaven is a favorite. Metallica-any of the first 3 or 4. Flotsam and Jetsam- no place for disgrace. Megadeth- peace sells and rust in peace (love countdown alot) Anthrax - state of euphoria is my favorite. Holy Terror, Kreator, D.R.I., S.O.D., Testament, anyway, cool list you have! Cheers 🍻

    Pretty good list. Coroner is a great band . I am more into technical thrash, so I would probably choose bands like Watchtower, Voivod, Vendetta, Sieges Even, Hexenhaus, Anacrusis, Despair, Depressive Age, Sacrosanct. But I do like ordinary thrash metal like Atrophy, Paradox, Poltergeist, D.A.M., Forbidden, etc.

    When you realize bands like Coroner, Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Kreator, Annihilator are all labelled under thrash metal and that they don't sound the same at all to me, this is quite a vast sub genre!

    • @rodturner6759

      @@rodturner6759 I'm not convinced by that, many hardcore bands would then be considered thrash, so would be many death metal bands. To me thrash is defined by palm muted oriented riffs, no gutural vocals, and as much as skank beats as possible in the recipe.
