It's funny that you say piano wire is your favorite song from repentless because it was actually written by Jeff before he passed and they decided to use it for this album. That's the only song of jeffs on that album though. Of course only the lyrics were written by Jeff and not any of the guitar riffs, but it totally makes sense why this is your favorite song and why it's mine as well. We still get to feel and listen to his music long after his death.

Evil Has No Boundaries, The Antichrist, Die By the sword, Fight Till Death (catchy intro riff, also fun to play on guitar), Metal Storm/Face the SLAYER (Also catchy song), Tormentor (my first SLAYER song), Crionics (the way Tom sings"The doctors and g men all live in fear" is funny :) ).
Some vinyl players have a download feature were you can download to a flash drive then out on the computer. I love Buffy the vampire slayer and I noticed the mention in season four as well.

I bought 'Reign in Blood' in 1986 and that fact it was so short was the great part! It was longer during demos and rehearsals, but they ended up playing to fast and bringing it in at under half an hour to me was just brilliant. Surely it's quality over quantity??

I did not get the box set because I did not like a few album after Divine (only Christ did I love) but I just picked up Show No Mercy and Live Undead. Both came with posters of the album cover's so YAY!!! I much rather have those. I just need South on LP. I know this is WAY off topic but everyone MARDUK released he Remaster of Dark Endless which comes with a poster, it is gatefold and came with the original Demo for Here Is No Peace and it has an insert with the original demo cover. Just saying! I would like to get Decade of Aggression on vinyl but no inserts? Oh well. Beware though that the first few SLAYER vinyl were re-released and the have posters of the album covers.

Go for a direct drive. They're more expensive but sound better. From the brands Audio-Technica, Numark, or gemini you should be fine. But your speakers are what will help make the sound so look into what kind of speakers you want. I use behringer truths and they sound fantastic.
I've already good speakers and a subwoofer, wich are connected to my PC. So the best choice for me is to buy a turntable with USB. I'll look for the brands that you listed. Thank you!
The reason divine intervention sucked because of the production. They were going three studios to record the songs and didn't find just one studio to master the production sound but still a good album to listen to. Edit: Paul bostauph worked with testament for the album the formation of Damnation, with exodus shovel headed kill machine.
Rick Rubin seemed to have that issue in the mid-90s for some reason. Skinny Puppy went to three studios for "The Process" (including Rick's, they were under his label)
