Same thing I’m thinking man, Jinx has already committed to the identity and he probably thinks calling her Powder is somewhat disrespecting her resolve
@@momogoes3329 I would really like to see how he would refer to her in those off screen conversation when and after they painted eachother and when Ekko cuts her hair
@@neotokioboi5152 Well honestly it seems like common sense already elevates you above 98% of the Arcane viewership. Most people cant penetrate the first layer that has cracks everywhere.
Two ideas come to my mind: 1) Jinx basically reverted to the Powder identity, at least privately to Ekko. The eye paint definitely signifies that Jinx is more comfortable reintegrating that aspect of her past into her current identity. So him putting "Powder" on the paper while the rest of the world is honoring "Jinx" is his way of acknowledging her growth. He truly believed that she had become his old friend again. 2) He's letting go of the old dream he had of rescuing Powder and instead understands that she has become someone new -- not someone bad but just different. Like maybe he has accepted that they'll never be the Ekko and Powder of the other universe. I think your suggestion that it's for AU Powder makes more sense than that second idea (which doesn't entirely match his mood). Whether it makes more sense than the first idea depends on whether he believes Jinx is alive. If it does, then he's likely not mourning her and is instead putting a coda on Powder. If he does think Jinx is dead, well then, he's mourning her.
But right when Jinx enters the fight with her airship/hideout and gets up to take the wheel you can see a Jinx style smile appearing on the screen, the same smile that appeared at the end of first season right after her rocket hit the building. I believe that suggests both her and Ekko accepted her for who she is and instead of fighting it she embraced it and is using it for good
He accepts her as Jinx, what Vi did. That is why Jinx trusted him at that moment, because he didn't try to change her but accepted her as she is. (She said in the first season that she wants to be accepted as she is.) He accepted her as she is, and said goodbye to Powder.
Watch the show again until season 2 episode 7 ekko never tried to save powder or even talk to jer he only wanted to beat her up, arcane is extremely badly written besides some scenes that are so well written that people think the show is actually good and makes sense
Ekko lost Powder for the second time. He always mourned Powder from the very beginning, he even made like a mural of her together with everyone he lost. But when he went to the other universe, he saw what could have been, which made him realized that he gave up on Powder way too quickly. Like he said to Jinx "no matter what happened in the past, its never too later to build something new with someone worth building for". Before, he felt like he lost Powder because of everything that Jinx did, but Jinx is Powder, he never lost her, he just gave up on her. Jinx have always been Powder, and now he can accept her and build something new with her, because he realized she was worth it, but then he lost her again and this time, its for real.
I just think it is impressive that Fortiche put so much detail into the show that there IS a impression of letters that are legible that you can see if you zoom in real close. They didn't have to do that it could have just been reasoned that it was written on the side of paper we are not looking at.
He probably still sees Powder in Jinx, so when he finds out about her “death” he can’t help but recall the old powder when they were kids, as well as what Jinx could’ve been had he not given up on her (aka AU powder). I also believe he wrote Heimer’s name in there as there is no indication that it MUST be one name per paper.
@@Lmaololol69 depends if he understands what happened to him, I think writing 2 names would slightly diminish the importance of the moment. “He still sees Powder in Jinx” maybe, it depends what those of screen conversations were like, he refers to her as Jinx so he is maybe sad about losing the Powder from that other timeline because he knows Jinx could’ve been Powder in his own timeline if he didn’t give up on her
@@DefaultDanielSGaminghe said to Jinx "no matter what happened in the past, its never too late to build something new with someone worth building for", which means he was finally ready to accept the Jinx in his timeline. He was finally ready to forgive and forget, because he realized he never really lost Powder, Jinx is Powder and Powder have always been worth it. He just gave up on her way too quickly. But before he could even build anything new with her, she died. So of course he's gonna mourn her, cause he lost her a second time. Before when he gave up on her and now when shes dead.

I've never played LoL but people say that within the lore, Yordles are immortal until they die of old age. When they die they literally respawn in their home city or something like that. If that's true then I'm assuming that's a well known thing by everyone and Ekko wouldn't need to write Heimerdingers name down.
even if it’s not, i can see heimerdinger telling ekko about bandle city. i don’t think it’s a coincidence that most non-human characters are seen in zaun, and i doubt heimerdinger was ever truly close enough to anyone to discuss what being a yordle is like - and i mean like, culture wise. obv everyone knows he’s old as sin. but it’s clear ekko is different than his other pupils, and i can see as they became closer ekko getting curious and asking about that sort of thing. like, hey, i’ve brought you into my little world, shown you how our corner works. let’s make it even and have you talk about where you’re from. (i would give anything for a canon arcane mini-comic series that just explores little interpersonal moments like that, if it wasn’t obvious)
@umbreonic766 yeah that's true. I don't know how secretive Yordles are. Canon mini stories in any format would be great, especially comics. I don't think I'm crazy enough to start playing LoL but there's supposed to be 3 mini story adventure type games about what Jinx does between the acts of s2. One of them focuses on Jinx fixing Savikas arm and another one is about Jinx tracking Vander/Warwick to the mines. Convergence is a pretty good Metroidvania where you play as Ekko in the undercity. It focuses on time traveling and chembarons a lot. The Ruined King is an AWESOME RPG that takes place on a pirate island with 6 different champions. It's really good.
Since it appears he wrote Powder, this leaves us with a few posaabilties. He may still be referring to Jinx as Powder because he still feels she is there deep down, especially after meeting alt-powder, so he prefers calling her Powder. He could know that Jinx isnt dead because she told him she would leave first chance she got, and since there is no body, he assumes she leaves, but he knows he will never get to see alt-powder again, so he writes her name. Lastly, he DIDNT write Heimerdinger, which means he believes Heimer isn't dead. It could also mean the writers just made a big mistake and overlooked Heimer, but that would be a big mistake. If he thinks Heimer is alive, because he doesn't know what happened to him, than its a pretty good shot he thinks Jinx is alive because there is no body and so its also unknown, so in that case he is writing alt-powders name.
I find it strange that some people are stressing about how Heimerdinger is dead. Idk about LoL lore outside of Arcane, but to me it's very obvious that he is a low-stakes comedic relief character. Whether we get more Arcane or not, I'm sure he will find his way back to the correct timeline if he wants to. Though I am curious about why he stayed behind, and what he wanted to achieve in the timeline without VI.
@@ongabonga4378 he was most likely evaporated when he conmected the cables, if he died from that then based on the league lore he would respawn in Bandle City because yordles do not die
@@Liocampo22 I want to make a video about that too, there are a few considerations Ekko possesed the body of alternate Ekko so she would posses the body of Jinx if she ever decided to go to that timeline, unless Jinx dies and she can exist on her own, similarly to how Jayce is present in a timeline where he died Powder also mentions that she is fine with her current life, Idk if what Ekko said together with the chance of meeting Vi can motivate her to leave her own timeline
wouldn't make any sense sadly. She has her ekko she didn't know until the very end that was a AU ekko. Only curiousity would make her want to see if their is a AU powder. It was never implied that he told her about his powder.
@@DefaultDanielSGaming We know that when characters travel between worlds, they take over the body of their counterpart in the new world. This could explain Jinx's return to Zaun, as Jinx and AU Powder have very different views on reconnecting with their sister: Jinx wanted to cut ties, while AU Powder wanted to mend the relationship. This could also explain the appearance of Jinx's "Tinkerer" skin in the game and her unique voice lines addressed to different characters, as well as her comments about her weapon, which she says she hasn’t quite figured out how to use yet. The idea of the sisters meeting again is reinforced by Vi's new skin. In it, she has two distinct gauntlets: the left one from Jayce and a newly restored right gauntlet. The original right gauntlet was destroyed during Jinx's self-sacrifice. The repaired one seems to have a design inspired by Jinx's aesthetic, hinting that their reunion played a role in its reconstruction.
@@padawan7756 yeah, I made a short a while ago about Vi's new gauntlet being made by Jinx. When it comes to Powder traveling between timelines, well, besides meeting Vi there is no good reason to do it + if it happens that Ekko develops a very good relationship with Jinx it will only hurt him and will take away any free agency from Jinx, finally lets not forget about her own Ekko and perfect world I wouldn't base my assumptions on the in game skin but discussion about the subject is interesting if there is some lore supporting the discussion
At the very end of S2E7, the Utopian Powder puts her necklace in the drawer labeled "Vi". But in there, you can see there are raw hexgems. She already knows the equation and she has the main ingredient. If she wants, she can travel to the real world. Someone mentioned this, the Utopian Powder fell in love with the real world Ekko, not necessarily with the Utopian Ekko. She actually sees the real world Ekko briefly right before he warps back to the real world. She also then has a motivation to travel to the real world to find the real world Ekko. But then she will be in the body of the real world Jinx... I mean, at this point, anything is possible.
I think her putting ekko's gift in the same place as the hex gems (souvenir related to her final moments with Vi) is an indicative to her doing her own little "ritual" to keep the memory of her time with our ekko (souvenir related to her final moments with our ekko)
I interpreted her putting his necklace there where Vi's shrine was as her way of mourning him, I don't really foresee her using the stones to travel through tine, as she seems to be moving forward with her life and healing. Introducing her was supposed to show Powder/Jinxes capacity to heal and leave the past in the past.
IMO they wouldn't have shown the hex gems for no reason, and they chose to put the means to travel in the same shot as something representing both of her motivations to go
@@honinakecheta601 all I'm saying is that there is a potential. The creators of the show decided to show that the Utopian Powder has the raw hexgems, even just a souvenir. In theory, she can travel if she so desires.
Also in that moment when Ekko was trying to save Jinx. When he spoke "I wanted to talk about....[hesitation].... Jinx". He caught himself almost calling her Powder.
honestly wished it was benzo considering he never got to have closure with him until ep 7, if this video didn't come out i would say its plausible it would've been his name
If he doesn't know she is alive, he clearly wrote the name as Powder because that's who she for him. He's not thinking of her as Jinx. If he knows she's alive, he surely wrote Powder as a way to try and leave her behind and accept Jinx
I'm 100% sure he was referring to Jinx. Perhaps he hoped to rekindle his relationship with her, but he believes she has died. Episode 7 was basically made for him to go after Jinx and never give up on her again.
This makes more sense, it's more reasonable that ekko cares more about his real world powder/jinx than in the alternative universe. Plus the jinx in the alternative time line didn't die and the whole purpose of the paper was to grief not some selfish desire to go back in the alternative timeline my boy goat ekko isn't that selfish, the whole purpose of s2 ep7 was ekko is willing to leave the alternative time line to save his main timeline aka he cares more about his main timeline powder/jinx, like imagine how hard must be for ekko to leave paradise. Hah, miss me with that "Jinx is dead" stuff, there's no way she told him she was leaving on that floating ship at the end, or that she made it out of the vents Cait was inspecting at all. Of course he thinks she's dead. I am more and more convinced she saw the opportunity to make everyone think she was dead and took it, which while sad, is FAR better than her other choice of ending.
This is Powder with a parallel universe that has turned into puppets, just like the rest of the inhabitants in the universe that Hamerdinger, Ekko, and Jace previously got into
I havent seen many people make this point which i think is a huge reason of why Jinx didnt die and instead left Piltover, but im gonna cook. Theres a time gap between when Ekko saves her from ending it all and when they help in the battle for Piltover. During the scene where Ekko talks her down we see Jinx notice the monkeys on his Zdrive. That heavily implies that he told Jinx about his time in the alternate timeline during the short time skip in the show. We also now know that scenes of them were left out of the final episode, so its completely possible she told Ekko of her plans to leave. As we all know in the battle she came in a completely different Jinx than we have seen before. He had to have told her and shown her that unlike what Jinx stated in episode 8, there was a good version of her out there.
As much as I wanted it to be Heimderdinger's name on there, Powder would still make sense even IF he knows Jinx is still alive. I don't think this is what the wrtiers were going for but in case they did, that would mean that Ekko also embraces Jinx as what she is, instead of projecting the alternative Powder onto Jinx. He accepts Jinx as what she has become, and that doesn't mean anything bad at all. That means he accepts her new self and only says good bye to her old self, Powder.
i feel like the TV series started to have character destruction to cause people to have an open mind to the show after watching it. a better rending would of have them unite in the end which would late on cause people to move on from the show. so a better ending would of been to have her father save Jinx by tossing her on a ledge or something to then cut with her in a hoodie alone again.
I think this is very symbolic of the fact that Powder as he knew her, is gone. Jinx is not longer that girl, but she's also not exactly the same Jinx that she was in S1 either. I think this is Ekko making that connection and saying goodbye to that carefree friend he had growing up. It's like how Vi saw Powder as her sister, but said Jinx was not her sister. However towards the end of act 2, she came to accept that Jinx is her sister. Powder is gone, but Jinx remains, and both Ekko and Vi come to love her as who she is not who she was.
@@stargoddesskotou Yeah, seems fitting, it is an idea that came to his mind once he met that version of Powder hence why he tells her that she gave up on her, referencing Jinx
It's their Sliding Doors moment. He knows that their two universes split at the point in season one when Powder set off the explosion. The Powder he danced with, ceased to be in his own time, because HE gave the gang the tip. In Powder's timeline, Vi died, and started the alternative universe. Ekko doesn't really interact with Vi in his time, so Powder was the first and most important person he lost in the whole Arcane narrative.

I believe that suggests both her and Ekko accepted her for who she is and instead of fighting it she embraced it and is using it for good
@@hardbasskvass597 Good point, man!

Whoaa wtf .. this is a cool detail

Thanks for the video.
thanks for watching
Now that makes sense. By the way what are your thoughts on the other powder making a time machine
@@Liocampo22 I want to make a video about that too, there are a few considerations
Ekko possesed the body of alternate Ekko so she would posses the body of Jinx if she ever decided to go to that timeline, unless Jinx dies and she can exist on her own, similarly to how Jayce is present in a timeline where he died
Powder also mentions that she is fine with her current life, Idk if what Ekko said together with the chance of meeting Vi can motivate her to leave her own timeline
wouldn't make any sense sadly.
When it comes to Powder traveling between timelines, well, besides meeting Vi there is no good reason to do it + if it happens that Ekko develops a very good relationship with Jinx it will only hurt him and will take away any free agency from Jinx, finally lets not forget about her own Ekko and perfect world
I wouldn't base my assumptions on the in game skin but discussion about the subject is interesting if there is some lore supporting the discussion
U dumb

When I heard you voice I instantly thought of victor
It is foreshadowing that AU Powder becomes Jinx. So on the nose.
This is Powder with a parallel universe that has turned into puppets, just like the rest of the inhabitants in the universe that Hamerdinger, Ekko, and Jace previously got into
he was writing on a rush to the event and ended up misspelling: Heimerdinder 😉
hamerdinger. he knows powder is still alive.
He had to have told her and shown her that unlike what Jinx stated in episode 8, there was a good version of her out there.
yeah, I also believe she told him about the plan to leave
As much as I wanted it to be Heimderdinger's name on there, Powder would still make sense even IF he knows Jinx is still alive. I don't think this is what the wrtiers were going for but in case they did, that would mean that Ekko also embraces Jinx as what she is, instead of projecting the alternative Powder onto Jinx. He accepts Jinx as what she has become, and that doesn't mean anything bad at all. That means he accepts her new self and only says good bye to her old self, Powder.
This is tricky like we can't confirm who is they are really foreshadowing something big
He wrote Powder because Jinx is starting fresh, so he was getting rid of his baggage regarding someone she isn’t anymore.
i feel like the TV series started to have character destruction to cause people to have an open mind to the show after watching it. a better rending would of have them unite in the end which would late on cause people to move on from the show. so a better ending would of been to have her father save Jinx by tossing her on a ledge or something to then cut with her in a hoodie alone again.
Why it couldn't be Vander?? Like in the interview they said that ekko told about the AU. What stops jinx about telling him about Vander/Warwick?

He might not know Jinx is alive. He might genuinely believe she's dead, and that any chance at redeeming Powder is dead along with her
The note with "Powder" instead of "Jinx" on it might be symbolic that he never gave up on her, and that, even in Jinx's death, he chooses to still believe Powder was somewhere inside of her

I really think that Ekko knows that Jinx is alive not only because he didn't write her name on the paper but also because Christian Linke said that their story is worth continuing.
Powder is still her real name, no matter if she wants to use the nickname Jinx or not.
In the end, no matter what happens, Jinx remains just a nickname. So it makes sense that Ekko would write Powder if he thinks "Jinx" is dead.

Ability and art joker in different personalities arising jin'x adapted from serial batman which from it villain...
And more mentally get more affected than male role personality because his form is female... Need more sustain although she especially doesn't can opened because aura of villain, then created last story of tragedy of principle mind and feeling conflic is love because joker have passable act not really great affection, but in feeling lonely anymore is most affected for female because must need such mentally of controling the encouragement... So that is harley ekko the couple soul of zaunite for same faith in both soul each...
Because that joker such no need more encouragement for main destination but jin'x is more need encouragement in his life
Cmiiw in my story🤣🙏
this fandom do be wild
we know already, It’s so obvious
we? nice try, keep the ego to yourself
obviously it is powder...she never became "jinx" in the other universe that they danced in and he is sitting in the spot where they kissed
Ofc its powder, i thought that was everyones first thought?
Sad the only people can think of is Powder and Heimerdinger. None of you thought it could have been Benzo? He did hug him in the alternate timeline. You guys really don't know what matters most.
he already mourned him by painting him on the mural + you can clearly see the name ends with "der"
I thought it was obviously powder.
Either it is powder or heimerdinger
@@LorenzoScarafia I replied to your other comment
Jinx ist Perfekt. Ekko ist überflüssig.
What about Vander ??
It's less likely from the context tho...
like you said, the context
Vander was already mourned by Ekko on the firelight mural + we don't even know if he has any idea about Warwick being Vander(depends on Jinx telling him or not)
As he says in the other timeline, he feels remorseful for giving up on Powder, so it is probably related to this event, hence why he is in the same spot
Might be himerdinger, because of the amount of folds
@@mazinatef8443 check the video again
Why does it have to be just one name? Hello? It's a fairly large piece of paper.
Ekko knows Jinx ain't dead. It is for Heimer because he is alone, and the only one who knows what happened.
How you sure he knows she's dead?
@mosaddagh Because I dont think Ekko knows yordles are immortal.
it could also be vander😏
Jinx and Powder aren't two different persons. The characters tried to distance emotionally from her and take the easy path separating Jinx and Powder but they're the same.
No matter how she decide to call herself, Jinx is the broken version of Powder. Leaving her alone will only deepen her trauma and I think Ekko understood this at the end. "I gave up on you", meaning Jinx and the girl in the EP7 are the same.
@@bcss9525 from many points of view they are very different hence why Powder asks him “ that’s what this is, buster? you want me to change?” and Ekko says “no” because Jinx is wildly different, but I understand your poinr of view
@@DefaultDanielSGaming Clearly, our experiences shape our behavior. Maybe S2EP7 version of Powder have better tools to regulate her emotions since her she had a better support system but it's not like she's a different person. You can see S2EP7 Powder has also a temper but learned self control, still she has the same characteristics that make unique in both universes.
She's a gray character. Just like her, everyone have lights and shadows. It's not like trauma define our essence and Isha proved it. I think this is what she was begging Vi to understand in S1
Timebomb shippers is completely devastated now.
😂😂😂
Not at all.
It’s never too late to build something new.
No... That's means he knows Jinx is alive
U did not watch the video
it was heimerdiddler
I think this is obvious. Its Powder.
There is also Vander 😂
@@LorenzoScarafia Ekko already mourned Vander and added him on the mural + he didn’t meet this version, and lets not forget that Powder is infinitely more important
I want to ask you something why are you saying that Jinx is dead if Jinx is dead then why vi And ekko It's not sad. There is a lot of evidence that Jinx survived, but what is the evidence that Jinx died? Jinx just wanted to get away and preferred her sister's happiness over her.
Hahah you guys cooked very nice
I feel like this was super obvious 😭
@@TheGigmeister props to you, as I said, many people believed it was another name
Could be Benzo?
Vander? maybe
Ekko already mourned him by painting him on the firelight mural, we don't even know if Jinx told him about Vander + the location he chose, the experience he had etc
Poor Vander
Thought this was obvious
The f you mean finally revealed. It was rather obviously jinx/powder
1. Which is it then? Jinx isn't equal to Powder in this instance
2. It wasn't obvious to the majority of people
3. Just because you half guessed it, it doesn't mean there couldn't be other options
4. When you choose a title you have to make it clickable, imagine if I wrote "Ekko's paper obviously says Jinx/Powder", that would've been a mega moronic title, but how could you know
5. Try to keep the ego in check
Heimerdiddy
