I don't shoot Instax a lot, but I do enjoy your Instax reviews. They're very well done and helpful. I bought an Instax Wide printer because of your review and I love it! I use it at art shows to print out an image with my business information to give to interested people who might be on the fence about buying. They can take the print home with them and think it over. Nine times out of 10, they call me and buy a print. I also have the Instax Wide back for my 4x5 but I haven't had an opportunity to play with it yet. Thanks for your great videos!

gracias por la comparación. tengo recientemente una Mini 90, y también tengo problemas con el tema del centrado de la fotos, y el enfoque por la distancias, podrías darme algún Tip, para poder encuadrar al sujeto como en el video hiciste el retrato de tu amigo y las distancias que manejaste para ella, parece que usaste el modo paisaje, gracias por tu respuesta :)

Mini 90 has long been discontinued in my country. But bcos of this vid, i will definitely get one soon. #searchingonamazonrightnow
I feel that instax usually prints out more cooler tones and im excited to know mini 90 produces warmer tones.
And bcos i oredi have the mini evo, which may be similar to the mini liplay.

Honestly, the mini Liplay wins for me. Images look better, you have the sd card, can choose which photos to print, it's more portable, can print photos from your phone and costs almost the same as the mini printer alone. Just want to know if it has the same functions as the mini 90? (adjusting the exposure, landscape, macro, selfie, turn off flash and the overlay mode? Where 2 photos overlay each other and become 1
You can do double exposures and change the exposure using exposure compensation. You can also switch the flash of too with the Liplay.
The other modes like macro and selfie on the mini 90 are related to where the camera is focused and because the Liplay has auto focus it’s not required.

@@albertomilagros2382 bulb mode would make the shutter speed potentially too slow if you’re photographing people.

I shoot allot whit my instax mini 40 and i love that camera. I love the 80,s 90,s disign and i love the cute mini foto sheets😊
I shot allot of photo,s today. Until a boy screamed at me that i couldnt take pictures. Now i am afraid of taking pictures and again afraid of people. I wasnt taking pictures of him. I took pictures of a bridge and a lonly bike underneat a highway 😓😭👍🏾😁mixed emotions
Does the bulb mode Is good in the 90?
Its quite a niche feature. Basically it extends the shutter speed for however long you want. It wouldn’t be useful for photographing people but could be great for landscapes or night time photography.
Had both, made the same choice - stayed with the LiPlay.
Was VERY reluctant at first - because it perverts the "full analog" Instax experience. But...Fujifilm never made a PROPER instax analog camera - with true focus (with a rangefinder or ever an old IR autofocus), the lenses are VERY poor (Mini 90 included), and I lost a lot of shots. And yes, the film is expensive.
I have two old peel apart Polaroid, and their results were superb (when the film was available), much better than any Instax camera, Lomographic ones included.
Then I bought the LiPlay, thinking "well, it is a printer too...", and was as surprised as you. Much sharper, have autofocus, exposure much more consistent and you can set an exposure compensation on menu. Or you can use your phone, that (probably) have a much better camera, take the shot and use it as printer - the LiPlay is the exact opposite of the Fujifilm Camera Remote (for their mirrorless cameras), it connects VERY fast and works flawlessly.
Little things that Fujifilm could improve it:
- Option to change exposure compensation on the fly;
- With the latest firmware (3.1) you can copy an image from the camera to your phone, but cannot (or I did not found how) to edit this image and print it, only can put a background and save);
- And make it work with direct print from their cameras, as the Instax Link printers (this could be a hardware limitation, though).
The new Mini Evo looks like a LiPlay (at least the sensor and lens is the same) with a knob to change the "Film Effect" (like the Film Simulation on their cameras), a lens ring to apply simulated lens effects, and printing with a lever.

Mini 90, easily.
I have both and prefer the 90 for it's organic feel ... the LilPlay feels over sharpened to me.
It’s a brilliant camera and i completely understand why :).
Yeah, if I want digital printing I can simply make photos with my phone (which has way better quality than a LiPlay or Evo camera) and print them on a instax mini printer. The charm of an analog camera like mini90 is exactly the mystery it creates before pressing the shutter and that "filmish" look without any digitalization or fake sharpness.

i hate how the color selection of the Mini LiPlay camera body is very limited. so annoyed that the dark grey version was limited edition and not standard. the rose gold color is pretty lame.

I love the 80,s 90,s look of the instax mini 90😊 i have the instax mini 40. Its my favoriete camera😊i shoot whit this camera all the time. I whised fujifilm would make a instant camera that has all the aspects of the mini 40 and mini 90 combined whit the instax Quare SQ6 and whit the instax wide 300 camera. I don,t like digital camera,s. 😊✌🏾👋🏾👍🏾
