- Colossals are spirits that inhabit many of the Islands in the Monster World. They each have a different appearance based on what Island they are. They each have a unique Critter that lives on/near them. Each of them corresponds to the main element or types of monster that live there. They are also the spirits who created the monster world.

My Singing Monsters is a 2012 video game franchise developed by Big Blue Bubble and published by Canada Media Fund. The first game of the series was released on September 4, 2012 for Apple iOS. Ports of the game for other operating systems were later released, including versions for Android, Amazon Kindle Fire, Barnes & Noble Nook, and Steam. The game was also released on the PlayStation Vita portable console. Since its release, My Singing Monsters has grown into a multimedia franchise, with a prequel, several spin-off games, books, live events and series, and a board game. On May 12, 2021, Big Blue Bubble announced that the series would be releasing its first console title, My Singing Monsters: Playground, on November 9, 2021.

@@slump_emperor headcanon: i think the celestials are gods even tho they are smaller but the colossals are giant monsters that are way stronger than normal monsters and the celestials created them to be stronger than the celestials themselves
@@slump_emperor no, collosals created most monsters, celestials are like mythological gods, stronger monsters basically, while collosals are like omnipotent gods
I like it actually, helps the build up while sounding ancient and very cool. The eyes moving and blinking is a really nice touch too. Nothing to complain about really I got a lot of keys and diamonds from this, a lot of ppl do think it should play more and I think it could but it totally works as it is

I think it's supposed to sound mechanical while we were waiting for something sounding more natural so that may be what makes it weird
yeah I was expecting a more natural sound, not something I would hear in a horror movie when I’m about to die. Still a good sound, and I’m excited for the other colossal’s to awaken
It’s not actually the colossal making that sound (idk if it’s supposed to be) the sound comes from the structure.
It says in msm lore that the colossals lost their melody
Fun Fact: if put the noises through a spectrogram it shows a slight picture of the collosal closing and opening its eye

lorewise, it is said that the Celestials learned singing from the Colossals, and Blassoom is the Plant Celestial... it might be a little off, but if my theory is right, Coldlossal (got?) will make a drum-like sound, or a ARIDIDADAAA as Glaishur does!!

No, I just wanna know how I’ve been with the conundrum for the full month, but I’m one day missing tomorrow I get my thing
The Colossal waking up is so cool, but I'm disappointed in the sounds it makes. I wish the noises weren't so creepy. I woke it up and admired it a bit then put it back to sleep. I feel that the loud eerie howls could have the volume adjusted like with the monsters that inhabit the island.
It would've been better if it hummed along to the melody of the song or something. Plant Island's song is something joyus and upbeat, not a horror setting.
P.S.: guess I have another motive for waking up some Wubbox on my plant island.
