Don't take it so personally. Children don't have to love their parents 100% all the time. They can still love them even though they don't agree with their parents at times. Kids have to learn to love other stuff also. Otherwise it's chaos and maybe bias.

I think this toddler has made a very profound, yet innocent, statement. Aren't most close relations this way? We love the person but we don't like their actions all the time. And yes, we do love them when they give us "cookies". :-)

How do you love somebody without liking them? Maybe you mean that you love somebody but don't always like what they do or they way they behave? Because that's a different thing entirely.
It's easy to love somebody without liking them. Loving someone means you want that's best for them. Liking them is a temporary emotion that comes and goes based on circumstances.
