Amazing?! Ok......I *was* a fanatical Kiss super fan. I was 6 years old when my grandmother bought "Rock & Roll Over" for me. This was my first LP. It's still my favorite Kiss studio record. Fast forward a few months. My grandfather comes home from the Raleigh Springs Mall in Memphis Tn and hands me "Kiss Alive II . It was 1977. I was 7 and Kiss was the hottest band in the world. 2022....... Paul's lip synching. The set list hasn't really changed in 20 years. Theres some guys wearing Ace and Peter's makeup design on their faces and Gene does not sound amazing. Far from it. Maybe he sounds amazing compared to Paul but goddamn .......that's not saying much now is it? No. It's not. They want your money and will lie and cheat you to get it. Fact. Willard
@@willardwayne3 good argument Willard, Kiss has only to do with money, Paul's voice has 50 years of rock and roll behind him, and there it is to get over the fact that he partly uses lip syncron aids, and Gene's voice has thank God remained as it was, okay Eric and tommy are just what they are, actors of Ace and Peter who do it well in my opinion, don't forget these two people are over 70,okay stay healthy
👍 I firmly believe that his voice is still ok, because he has rarely tried to push it beyond it's limits, as Paul has done. Gene has a set range, and he sticks to it.
Back in the day I never imagined Gene being the best singer of the band. He's in a good vocal shape. I don't know if it's Paul's ego or what but they could have considered this when putting up the set list. Adding Goin' Blind or A World Without Heroes and Parasite to the set and dropping off something like Say Yeah and Do You Love Me might have given Paul some ease and time to rest his shot vocal chords. Yeah, that's a lot of ifs.
Constant touring killed Paul's voice. He never rested it. Plus he changed his singing in the mid 80's and early 90's. Lots of strain and trying to sing in a higher octane level. That was never his voice. See his solo tour Live To Win. You will see what I am talking about.

I once Tweeted Paul that he and the band should allow fans to access the tracks in order to dial in and fix the obvious production issues. It would be a great opportunity for fans and the band.
