Orn item upgrade is slot 1,2,3,4,5,6 it checks each slot until it finds one it can upgrade

26:10 The health gain's based on your HP from items, so he had 300 from Jak'sho contributing to the health gain, you had 800 from Hydra and Sundered Sky.
The item ornn upgrades is based on where it is in your inventory. It prioritizes the top left slot then to the right of that till it finds an upgradeable item.

Not all items can be upgraded as well. So if you put an item in the number 1 slot but it’s not an upgradable item it goes to the next slot. For those who aren’t about that either

Regarding the Ornn-upgraded Heartsteel giving less HP, the HP Heartsteel gives with each stack is based on your own max HP (so someone with 5k hp will get more on proc than someone with 3k) so maybe you just had more HP than the Ornn? He built two items with no HP and you built two items with HP.
the hp heartsteel gives is actually only based on hp gained through items, not max hp. So kits and runes dont matter for that anymore

I've noticed, he says dumb shit in his vids. Like saying Lillia's OP. Or inting 4 times and dying like a bronzy in the first 10 mins. Or if he got Kaenic Rookern instead of Spirit Visage since he has alot of HP he literally get like +900 shield and Lillia won't beable to fight him.

Changes to make her more bruiser *becomes a tank*
I'm partly mad with a fraction of the Briar's community cause many Bruiser Briar mains cried out loud that "lethality Briar should Just become not viable cause we don't like to see a bruiser having so much burst"
Fast forward to the new patch where now you can go full tank with Just a Titanic and solo the enemy carry in a span of like 2-3 seconds. Somehow they're ok with this iteration of the champ.
I'm going to play It but It feels so much more toxic than the old lethality Briar
@marcomigliorucci343 yeah I didn't see the issue with leth briar honestly. You could one-shot like an assassin sure, but traded survivability. Way better for the game than 8k health perma healing through 5 man damage.

Sundered Sky Blitz.
His E has a 200% ad ratio. +175 from sundered (it’s bugged and says 150.)
So a total of 375% Ad ratio on a guaranteed crit after a hook.
Honestly Lethality Briar in the jungle is still super effective just makes 3rd item Steraks & titanic hydra even stronger with the HP effects. The only thing you get from the health scaling anyway is just more healing so you still want mostly damage, and HP regen effects on items like Heartsteel are entirely wasted on briar.
Put item you want Ornn to upgrade in your first slot! That's how you can decide which you want upgraded if you have more than 1 item that he can buff
I tried this build after your pbe video. You die a lot but its like sion, you can literally 1v5 late game even anti heal becomes useless against you

You should start taking over heal on briar because the shield scales with your health
Talon's auto attacks extend the duration of his passive stacks, that's why he could get the three stacks at the beginning.
Pekin just a heads up...ornn always upgrades the first item in your inventory counting from the top left
I did a briar top against a fiora died alot but dominated late game with most kills and saved the game

I played around 5 games of this in top lane.
ITs... really, really borderline a reportable pick. You sacrifice Lane pressure and CS for a strong late game, but all this losing equals longer time to reach lategame. ALL of my games i had 8+ deaths,a ll of them i lost lane. Only 1 game did i start to pop off in.
The problem is, there are a lot of unplayable counter matchups for briar
On 20th minute you could've seen that akshan in the bushes got blue buff. its weird that riot done that
I played jungle version of it. I bought tiamat first after that i got heartsteel.
That's probably the optimal way to go. As this Briar is pretty hard scaling actually, but it needs some pretty big discretion on what to build as you do want to be an AD tank with some early damage or you'll get wrecked early. I kind of figured that Warwick-like builds or WW-like tank builds would be a thing on Briar since their concept and kits are very similar. I presume after those items you probably went heartsteel, titanic hydra, then sundered sky then choice defensive items like Jak'Sho, Spirit Visage, Gargoyles or even things such as Cleaver/Steraks, Stride Breaker etc. She's a pretty versatile champ from being such a roided melee.

Imo tank briar or any tank for that matter doesnt really matter this patch. Damage is so high that itll be just better to go with damage briar to one shot stuff too

Make sure to extend the w duration when you can to get that maximum healing pekin! Also not sure if you know this but q does makw it so you can prio with frenzy whether it be a different champ minions monsters etc.

I still have no idea why Briar E is locked. Even if it's as slow as Vel'Koz ult, she really needs to be able to adjust it. The only time anyone gets hit by it is early game or in a team fight when the enemy is cc'd. Lower the damage, or lower the knockback distance slightly, because it really is the main part of her kit that feels awful. Sion Q's full knockup goes off faster than her E, but it can atleast cc at lower charge. Not to mention Sion Q isn't a 16 second cd, and the hinge to keep him from inting. The wind up on ult during the channel, and even after you hit it is also terrible, but it's fair if the rest of your kit is relatively decent despite an ult weakness. Despite all these changes, she's still ridiculously clunky in a completely unintuitive way. She's only viable when she's overtuned ala Garen or Annie.
the reason is quite simple, hitting someone into a wall deals 660 dmg + 340% bonus ad and 340% ap, it cannot be a consistent hit
I miss lethality briar. But riot could make it up to me by putting ap on her w/autos...
I still think this build would benefit from a tiny bit of lifesteal.

No heart steel. Immediately go Titanic into other bruiser items. You'll have way more damage faster thus better
Ok, The real build feels like Titanic, into either Unending or Rookern because you need more then your base resistances. From there you can build heartsteel or something like that, but walkinga round with 5k hp and no armor is a bit troll.
From what I've found, it's just about useless to build heartsteel after 1st item. Even second item, it takes really long to stack it to a valuable level. I do agree though, Titanic feels pretty good on Briar rn.
It's that or lean into AD first, then tank items for more of a Bruiser Tank build. As you could probably build her similar to Warwick and be fine. I'd go Titanics first into sundered sky with either cleaver, blade, steraks or even stridebreaker, depends on taste and situation. Then as to me, Heartsteel is probably only stackable vs a comp with 2-3 melees for consistent stacking. Then afterward you could probs get a jak'sho fourth item, spirit visage, unending, rookern etc.

So Tiamat into whichever build you need that game depending on how things turn out.
Try getting tiamat -> sundered -> titanic into full tank with spirit visage and unending despair if you can. I found the most success this way in jungle
@@iceweaver9283 Sundered didn't feel great last patch on Briar, but maybe it's better this patch. The issue is you can't swap targets very well, so it's a 1 time heal for like 200 hp.
I think it's actually Tiamat-> unending/rookern-> Titanic.

Friend, you make many basic mistakes with this champion, such as prematurely activating the second W instead of extending the automatic attacks; so that your final healing will be the greatest.
Wish they got more creative with her W, it's the one which seems to be the root of problems more than the ult
