I own and carry the real steel CZ P09. I carry it at work as my duty weapon and as my concealed carry weapon when I'm off duty. The real steel pistols trigger has that exact amount of creep and take up before it breaks. Thats why I use the decocker instead of the saftey. If the trigger was better then I might have left the saftey installed but it sucked, so I swapped it for the decocker. So the aisoft gun replicated that aspect perfectly well I see. Be nice if the airsoft pistol had the decocker replacement also. Maybe the real one would work, do you think? It looks like it would fit. Oh well, cheers.
Yes I think so, I think it was down to the way I was holding it, plus the very short reset. After all, it's not a WE, so no random full auto hopefully!
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I'm having the same problems with it shooting full auto, inconsistant hop and fluctuating fps. I love the external quality of this gun but wow it has allot of issues that should have been caught at the QC level before it came to market. I wish ASG put as much time testing the products they rebrand as they did with the Evo that they manufactured themselves because that gun gives me no hassles ever and keeps me smiling every time I game it.
Do you also have the Duty marking on the front left side of the slide like in the vid ? I know there is a version after the "duty" without the marking duty and the recoli rod at the front is flat screw head instead of cross.
In the us with the recent release if you know of airsoftology john he contacted asg about the hop up and they "resolved" his issue. I believe they fixed it in the new production models too
I think the barrel design with the pin in place is a pro, not a con. It seems like an improvement to the p226 they made. My p226 outer barrel has cracks all over it because of the tm design it uses. The tm design has less material on the outer barrel so that you can pop the inner barrel in without any tools. The problem is, when the slide is locked, the outer barrel is moved back a little so when you release the slide, the outer barrel is smacked forward. The little notch on the inner barrel then hits the outer barrel and the outer barrel begins to start splitting and cracking. But with this pin design, the outer barrel still does move around the inner barrel but there is more metal so it is harder to split. And for the hop up design, I think it is better than the tm design but you make good point about it. They just need to make it with a better material. Oh and where is the leaking coming from?
Great review thank you , could you tell me where you got it from as I cannot seem to find it ? Also have you sorted out the issues or found any new one s
Hey there! NIce video! I´m about to buy this gun but I still have some doubts. Does it´s hop up perform to TM levels? Does it have a good range? Thank you :)
Oh and about the blowback, I think kjw is trying to make a reliable pistol for the money unlike WE. WE is just throwing full auto on things that don't even seem to work correctly even on semi auto. Kind of like the M&P from WE, I got one of the first batch m&ps and it was horrible, it would shoot full auto and then not too much longer, they made a full auto version which I'm pretty sure is the same exact pistol. For a first batch pistol, your kjw seems very good compared to my M&P, not to mention the very cool trades that actually have depth and isn't just some stupid white paint.
Yes it's excellent for the price, no doubt, but to occasionally have half the shots in the magazine barely make the slide move is a bit annoying, especially since KJW always used to make guns with an emphasis on function rather than good looks. Al least the issue has pretty much gone now I've cut down the mainspring a bit. My M&P had a few problems too.
Thanks for the review! How's the accuracy in the 5-7 meter range, i.e. does it hit the target where you aim? The reason I am asking is that the groupings of my TM PX4 is off about 5 cm in this range (shoots low), and it does not have an adjustable sight so I cannot seem to fix it no matter what I do with the hop-up. Might not make a difference for CQB users, but I use my pistols for IPSC style training and this is enough for missing the Tactrainer-targets when aiming center target which renders the PX4 useless for me at the moment.
This particular gun shoots high, about around 10cm high at 7m, but that is with the hop on, and with .23s. No hop and .25s would bring it down a bit, but what you really need is something with adjustable sights really. The RS P09 can take CZ75 sights, so it may be possible to fit some adjustable sights to this.
Right first off man is that you brought it and 2 days later the hop up broke... You should have ring my ASG and they would ask you to send it to them and they will have a look and fix it or give it a brand new hop up...
This is the best hop up design i've seen in pistols. Splitting the pressure of the hop equally on both sides. It wasn't the units fault you had no hop, it was probably the crappy rubber they used. Regarding the thread stripping that's completely your fault. If it's tight don't try to tighten more.
The metal was so soft that the threads stripped out before the rubber could apply any proper hop. It felt like it was adjusting normally until I inspected it. The adjustment ring needed to be made of a tougher material or use a larger thread.
ApurtureSci Strange. That was probably manufacturing issue. I shot the new one 3rd gen (urban grey) and honestly it was the most accurate out of the box pistol I ever shot. Hop up was by far the most predictable one. This 3rd gen comes with co2 mags by default and though it kicks, the slide is sluggish coming back as you said. This thing shoots 340 fps with .3g bbs and i could hit a beer can 60 feet away 8/10 times with those .3's.
Hello good sir, I do realize that it has been 2 years since you made this video but I was wondering if you knew if those problems with the hop up have been fixed. Thanks
+LCD I'm afraid I don't know, I would hope that they would have changed the design by now but can't confirm. KJW have just released a new CZ though, the SP01 Shadow, which I assume would have design improvements.
ok so watch for for the screw on hop unit.if hits something the mag file it.if pistol is sluggish replace oring on the rocket valve.and my tip replace those crappy kjw fill valves on mag with madbull ones.hmm probably buy it seems like a pistol for gunsmiths :D.and this will be popular gun lots of aftermarket parts will come up. the oring on the rocket valve is a double sword.it can make problems but this gun shoots soooooo constant probably becouse of that.
Even with some fixes done I'm still having lots of weak fire problems. Seems to be something to do with the trigger/hammer assembly. Still haven't figured it out.
Yavinonche Yeah mine still does what it wants, not sure why. Yesterday I converted it to single action only, which removes some of the inconsistency I found with the trigger/hammer system, but whenever I go to shoot the gun I get varying levels of kick which is very frustrating. I will keep you updated if I figure it out.
Double Action is a type of trigger system, the main types being either Single Action (SA) or Double Action (DA). With an SA design, like a 1911, Hi Capa etc., the trigger only performs one action, which is releasing the hammer. For this to happen, the hammer has to be cocked, so the single action trigger can release it and fire the gun. A double action trigger performs two functions. The first half of the pull (called take up) cocks the hammer back, and then following through releases it. Pulling the trigger cocks and releases the hammer in one pull, as on most modern hammer fired guns like Beretta M92s, P226s etc. There isn't a huge practical difference in airsoft really. All it means is that single action guns have to be carried with the hammer cocked (preferably a safety engaged), while a DA can be carried with the hammer down which is safer, then fired by simply pulling the trigger. From the first shot on, the slide will recock the hammer, so it essentially becomes a Single Action once you start shooting. Only the first shot is DA, so we generally call these DA/SAs. Maybe I'll make a video on it :)
Possibly, I'm not too happy about giving any of my money to Cybergun though, especially since they bumped the price right up, and you can't even mount an RMR properly.
Rusty The latest news I heard is that an RMR needs an adapter plate to fit to the blowback unit, which Cybergun aren't including and may not even sell. Having to use an adapter also means you get no Co witness. Not sure if I would spend $225 on it.
***** Awwww that's a real bummer to hear :( I was so excited about it! I hope that they make it well worth it. First time I would have liked Cybergun if they did XD
Depends where you live, but in the UK, JD Airsoft and Arsoft Armoury sell them. Lots of Hing Kong shops sell them for under $100 like WGC too. I use Guarder Power Up gas in my metal guns.
Iñigo Zapata I think it's dual purpose, as it's positioned for the thumb of the supporting hand and the trigger finger. It reminded me of the PX4, which was advertised as having the dimple for the trigger finger. I assumed it was probably a similar case with this.
***** You said that the normal KJ CZ75 has a terrible trigger? Do you have much experience with them? I'm kicking myself for not picking up one of the trademarked versions when they were available but a few shops have one or two left. Worth $120 plus shipping from China?
I have a bit of trigger time with one. It was ok, just quite a notchy, heavy trigger and it didn't feel quite as well made as the P09, although it compares well to the KWA version. I wish I had have got one of those trademarkes ones too! UNcomapny has ones with white trades, but I'm not a fan.
This is an awesome pair of videos with great info for a new owner. A few years late but thanks!

Yeah I think it was a bump fire all right. Hope so though, it's irritating to get a gun who goes full auto for no reason ^^

Mine started doing that after 6 days of use.

Great in-depth review. Still might pick one up though, too affordable to pass up on.

ApurtureSci So it didn't strip before the actual end of travel? Also did you change the rubber and how does it perform if you did?
@@bogmirkovic8219 correct, it was the rubber refusing to flex that caused the problem. I honestly can't remember, it was quite a while ago now!

+ApurtureSci I am afraid it (the cz sp-01) does not seem to be aimed at regular play but instead is a race gun. Thanks for trying to help though
+LCD ok that last sentence sounded rude as hell... I am sorry. Thank you for helping
This or the ICS BLE XAE ?
What gas would you recommend to use

i live in the uk ah thanks for the info
I honestly think I'd like the looks of this gun more without that trigger discipline stippling... it just makes it look so noisy and crowded.
I think I've just got used to it, but yes it is a bit messy.
I'm pretty sure the side stippling is for the thumb, not for the finger trigger :)
Iñigo Zapata I think it's dual purpose, as it's positioned for the thumb of the supporting hand and the trigger finger. It reminded me of the PX4, which was advertised as having the dimple for the trigger finger. I assumed it was probably a similar case with this.
