Put the need hole about 2 to 3 feet from your TV while it's playing you will be surprised how well you can see yur needle hole and thread it . Thanks for yur video effort this is awesomely done.
Thank you SO much for this video! I've been pinning the patches on my grandson's shirt and it's been a real struggle! Will try this with the next patch! (His mother doesn't have any tools for sewing so I get the honor!) :-)
Thank you.. I struggle with the big jumpers and small badges in the uk.. I’m not sure I will be able to do it on the that one but when he gets his scout shirt I think I can use this technique.....
That is fine and dandy for easy to reach areas on thick fabric, but what about hard to reach areas such as shirt pockets or sleeves? You can't easily access the inside of the sleeves, and my hand doesn't even fit inside the shirt pocket, so I can't really see what I'm doing and pulling the thread from behind is pretty much impossible for the side of the patch that is further from the pocket's opening. Any tips or tricks for those?
I usually sew the pocket patch from the inside of the shirt which basically sews the pocket closed. For the sleeve, I turn the sleeve inside out and sew from the back. Hope that makes sense and is helpful!
This is a good video but leaves this non-sewer with a few questions: Is this the best way when it's possible to work? Or should I try to learn other ways? 2: How is this different/better/easier than the way many other people do it? 3: Can that patches be sewn on with a sewing machine?
Thank you!!!! Getting my son ready for Court of Honor, and we were WAY behind on patches. This method was so simple and easy!
I watched quite a few videos but all of them lacked the full process. Well done and Many Thanks!
This is a game changer, thank you!
It was very difficult sewing all the way through the patch. This looks much easier 🙌🏼
thanks a lot for this, I am a boy scout and it was my first time getting my badge and didn't know how to sew it on and this helped a lot.

Thank you so much! I am a mom of two girl scouts. I have struggled for years with iron-on and sew -on patches. I am excited to try this technique!
Thank you so much for this video!! Sitting here with a pile of patches sewing away!
Thank you so so much for doing this all the way through...slowly!!! Well done!
excellent idea..am getting ready to sew some patches on my old Red Wool Jac for my grandson..wear some history...
Genius! Thanks for sharing this. So simple, and saves on having to buy lot of thread colors.

This looks so much easier than the other two methods I've tried. Going to sew a pile of patches on today.

awesome. I can sew now!!
Thank you!
nice video
thank YOU!
For anyone watching, tape the patch where you want it and then skip to middle of the video. Most of this is all about how to thread a needle….. 🤦🏻♀️
The volume isn’t good I’m on full blast on my phone can’t hear it
Does it have to be masking tape?
No, it can be any kind of tape or adhesive that will hold it in place.
@@Cubscoutideas thank you, does this technique work for boy scout uniforms? Mainly leadership patches?
@@curtisstauffer6428 Yes. My sons are now Boy Scouts, and I use it every time they bring home a new leadership patch. :)
@@Cubscoutideas thank you, I'm a boy scout myself
Thanks so much!
🤦🏻♀️ I sewed 🧵🪡 the masking tape into the patch & shirt
didn't work
Can't hear anything but mumbling.
Thank you I can stop messing with the volume on my phone now. It's not just me👍
