The TV vibe probably come from the preview/teaser for the next episode which I found unnecessary. Other part of the video feels like a normal Casey's vlog to me

I know what you mean, I'm 57 and think Casey is more original and talented than much of the dross on TV - I have also just started vlogging. I will never match his vision (or viewership) but it is a great hobby.

Very rarely are they open enough to think out of the box. My generation is called the silent generation for a reason. The 70+ TH-cam community is as small as a gnat’s eyelash. My generation doesn’t always ‘get’ the originality of today. I do. What the creators are producing today makes me wish we had something like this when I was younger. We all know 368 is going to be awesome! But i wanted to comment on Jack. He looks so happy that he’s living his life working for himself and his audience and that is the dream seriously. I love the subtle, well thought out transitions and shot changes that definitely take a bit of planning, that make this so entertaining and easy to watch. Some are so subtle that I'm sure lots of people wouldn't even notice or think to much of them. Awesome work as usual 😃👍

Eliminate 4 - The ability to do so comes down t building the trust and confidence that Dan knows what Casey wants and does it This takes time. 2. Shorten shoot time which will shorten edit time. 3. Creative Wind Studios i was gonna say he is too old for midlife but i guess he's only 37. I was sure he was closer to 45. Changes my perspective on everything he says.
I know he's been calling them episodes and seasons since 2015 or so, but this really marks the transition to an actual episode rather than a vlog, and makes it seem so much more professional.
Not sure about you guys, but I gotta admit...as a creator, seeing the frustration from Casey & Dan about how time consuming editing can be made me feel a lot better about my own struggles with it.🙄
Solid advice Ryhdry👍🏼, but the biggest chunk of my edit time is spent synching music to montages, speed ramping, looking for the right pop culture reference clip, sound effects, learning new techniques, etc. it can be a major rabbit hole for me if i'm not careful.😩

I am happy to say that I like it more than the Episode 1. But still, it lacks typical story-telling Casey always had and pushed as very important (which it is). I am just very confused by all this weird content and re-editing re-edits..Why?... Hope it works out for the best and we all look back to these first episodes with "aaaa-haa" feeling to it. Are you sure you REALLY NEED a daily vlog? Perhaps every other day or post on every third day? Don't get me wrong, I'm digging it and anxious to see what you do with the space I am wondering if you and Jack are killing yourselves over just making content.

I finished college in PA (am from PA). Got a job offer from a company in Tokyo, Japan immediately after. They paid for moving expenses (incl. travel). Was still jet lagged and worked. That's life.

Coediting doesn't work [edit: for short form, see my comment]. Either give up control and let him edit the whole thing or do it yourself again. You can still direct your editor or make final calls, but Coediting just always takes longer and isnt as good.
Editing is such a non-verbal, intrinsic activity. Sometimes (but not always), when I come back to a project I haven't been editing in a long time, it's impossible to get back into the headpace I was in when I was editing before, and I often just restart the edit. Despite what it's called, it's got stages of creation and editing embedded within it. Splitting the work with this line is fine, but it's often done by the editor and the director/producer--and even that bifurcation can be difficult when their visions don't always mesh. Longer form work also allows for more cooperative editing, because you can split different kinds of narrative elements between the different editors. You do the interviews, someone else does the principals, another editor does the montages. Having a secondary editor for color correction is easier to incorporate into a workflow, but sound design is so essential to the beats and flow of the imagery, I often start with that myself. I think when you find a really great creative partner that jives with you, and jives with the particular project you're working on, it can be a magical thing to coedit, but I have had that experience maybe 1 time, and it was fleeting--as all love is :P
I still don't get the warehouse thing yet. The streets of New York city is your warehouse. Use the money you're spending in construction and lease payment to hire an editing team.

Daniel Garcia I think the blog is the same but he’s going in a direction with the 368 space. So in the future, most of the content will be geared toward what’s going on at the building. Musicians comings in, artists etc. what can they all create together over time.

Not sure about you guys, but I gotta admit...as a creator, seeing the frustration from Casey & Dan about how time consuming editing can be made me feel a lot better about my own struggles with it.🙄

Solid advice Ryhdry👍🏼, but the biggest chunk of my edit time is spent synching music to montages, speed ramping, looking for the right pop culture reference clip, sound effects, learning new techniques, etc. it can be a major rabbit hole for me if i'm not careful.😩

I am happy to say that I like it more than the Episode 1. But still, it lacks typical story-telling Casey always had and pushed as very important (which it is). I am just very confused by all this weird content and re-editing re-edits..Why?... Hope it works out for the best and we all look back to these first episodes with "aaaa-haa" feeling to it. I finished college in PA (am from PA). Got a job offer from a company in Tokyo, Japan immediately after. They paid for moving expenses (incl. travel). Was still jet lagged and worked. That's life.

Coediting doesn't work [edit: for short form, see my comment]. Either give up control and let him edit the whole thing or do it yourself again. You can still direct your editor or make final calls, but Coediting just always takes longer and isnt as good.
Always Falling Short you're right, it feels like a mix up of styles
Editing is such a non-verbal, intrinsic activity. Sometimes (but not always), when I come back to a project I haven't been editing in a long time, it's impossible to get back into the headpace I was in when I was editing before, and I often just restart the edit. Despite what it's called, it's got stages of creation and editing embedded within it. Splitting the work with this line is fine, but it's often done by the editor and the director/producer--and even that bifurcation can be difficult when their visions don't always mesh.
Longer form work also allows for more cooperative editing, because you can split different kinds of narrative elements between the different editors. You do the interviews, someone else does the principals, another editor does the montages. Having a secondary editor for color correction is easier to incorporate into a workflow, but sound design is so essential to the beats and flow of the imagery, I often start with that myself.
I think when you find a really great creative partner that jives with you, and jives with the particular project you're working on, it can be a magical thing to coedit, but I have had that experience maybe 1 time, and it was fleeting--as all love is :P
I still don't get the warehouse thing yet. The streets of New York city is your warehouse. Use the money you're spending in construction and lease payment to hire an editing team.

Daniel Garcia I think the blog is the same but he’s going in a direction with the 368 space. So in the future, most of the content will be geared toward what’s going on at the building. Musicians comings in, artists etc. what can they all create together over time.
Who really cares, it's what made Casey one of the top vloggers (without being a prize dick like the logan bros) and it's great he is back. Look at it like season two. Same same but different.
