On the topic of TBDM, how close do you think the 11r can get to achieving Brandon Ellis' tone in his Tornado of Souls solo cover? You seem to get the best tones out of it from what I've heard, assuming you're using it here. /watch?v=_8yYUBaMPC4
ESPSJ yep 11r on all my videos. Haven’t looked into that cover specifically but the 11r hasn’t let me down yet. Great to just plug and play. I’m a player that is doing different things from bluesy, crunchy to full super lead shred.
If I buy one I might have to grab some of your presets if that's ok ;) So I'm assuming I don't need anything else other than just the 11r itself? I've been using a cheap interface and then using free plugins, but im just not getting the sound I want. Those VST pluginss sound pretty lifeless and muddy so hopefully an 11r will be a nice upgrade. ESPSJ Oh yeah man I’ve tried some of the logic vst and they’re so hard and so much tweaking to get anything to sound good. These days for me it’s just 11r direct in with some variation of a Mesa setting I’ve tweaked here and there. It’s crazy how much of that tube feel you can still get. Also sometimes if I don’t wanna bring a stack I use it live with a foot controller and that’s it. Let the sound guy run it direct and be done with it.
