I remember those Sainsbury’s school vouchers when I was at primary school. We used to get harassed by the headteacher every day in assembly to ensure we brought them in. I think I only every brought one in to school in my entire life.
The Chicken Tonight ad with Ian Wright is easily the best thing he's done off the pitch. God knows how many takes that took. Also didn't realise Benecol had been on the go that long.
I can imagine behind the scenes on match of the day Gary Lineker takes the piss out of him every now and then over that ad.....but still great ad, love Ian Wright
1. The school voucher kids are now around thirty years old. 2. Proof Carol Vorderman has always been hot and always been willing to advertise anything!
This Abbey National advert at 4:47, with Alan Davies and Patrick Moore, may have been the one where Alan asked Patrick whether the moon landing was a hoax. From the QI episode "Hoaxes": "I said, 'So, Patrick, did they land on the moon?' And he looked so annoyed with me... and he explained to me how he had helped map the moon for NASA, and he'd spent years on the project, and the landing site was partly his idea... and if I ever spoke to him again, he was going to be sick in my eyes."
It got thinner and thinner over the years until they combined the phone book with the yellow pages and it was still have the size. Yeah we didn't have all the apps and tech back then but compared to now those days were happier times
ah, the school rewards rubbish that every supermarket had going back then. i forgot about all that. looking back at these i've noticed a hell of a lot of cleaning tablet ads and skin care products. they must've played them too much because i vaguely remember most of them.
Haha, wow! It kept breaking though, so they gave me a replacement while I wait, and they never came back to collect it. It was a "Tiny" which was also owned by them. So I kept it lol. That's also still running. But I don't use either one, packed it up and both in the loft.
I'm surprised they aired that Burger King commercial in the UK. Did British people have enough interest in American country music to recognize that song?
Dose anyone remember the Chicken Tonight or Chicken Express ad with the woman trying to teach a dead /raw chicken to dance?? She said “come on .. you got no rhythm “! 😆 Can anyone tell me who the actor in the first advert is please? I am so familiar with his face but can’t think of his name!!!
i miss the 90's :'(

Yes I totally forgot about that craze where you had to bring sainsbury's vouchers in primary school, can't remember the reason though.
1:38. The peak of Ian Wright's post-football career...
10 minutes of ye olde memory lane. Nostalgia is my favourite drug
