I’m really loving the mix of photography, your cinematography style and the adventure. Thank you for sharing your art and adventure with TH-cam! These are a pleasure to watch. Now to break the news to my mum that I want to ride a motorcycle 😂
Back in '79 my mates and I would buy one copy of Bike Magazine which would be passed around that week like "a six of chips".No internet then! One issue ran an article on a British rider who bought a motorcycle on a visit to Australia.I read it and a seed was planted.Ive done a considerable amount of miles on Aussie roads, particularly dirt roads but on a bicycle! At 64 the mind,s willing but the legs are not.Your laid back videos have inspired me to head back over to Aus,pick up a bike, possibly a 450 RE and head off on another adventure.Cheers mate👍
That would have been an awesome adventure you did. I would say yes definitely worth doing on a motorbike and explore again. The 450RE might be the idea bike as thee 411 was great but just on the long stretches of HWY having that 6th gear would be handy.
Thanks for showing off many different areas in Australia/Tazmania. For those of us on the other side of the world, this is great to get a real look at all the different types of riding you have there.
Hi Joe, Merry Christmas mate. Your videos are wonderful and thanks for the efforts you put into to make them. I just wanted to let you know that you have inspired me to take up adventure motorcycling and I’m heading to Tassie in the morning to replicate your journey. All the best for the 2024, feels like I have known you for a long time!
Thanks mate, glad you have enjoyed the series. That is awesome you are heading to Tasmania to explore. There is so much I missed over there, so I am sure you'll discover even more than I did.
Just stumbled across your channel Joe and I’m loving it. Got a lot to catch up on but enjoying it so far and I think you’ve inspired me to do a lap of Tasmania. Cheers
Superb mate! I ride the Ulverstone to Penguin coast road regularly! Great pics and videos, I’ll keep watching for new tracks you may discover down West 👌🏻 Triumph Scrambler 🏍️
Hi, new sub. I love seeing Tasmania through the eyes of a tourist, it reinvigorates the beauty of our beautiful island and my passion to explore my home state further on my motorcycle ☺️. Also taking a mental note of the campsite so I can check it out haha, looks like a great spot. Beautiful footage and photography, can't wait to see more ☺️.
Thanks MadGirlMoto, yes Tasmania is stunning and so many amazing places to camp. I think there might be another 5 or 6 episode in Tasmania so more camp spots to come.
Thanks for sharing Joe. Such a great way to see places I probably will never see in my lifetime. When I think of Tasmania I conger up an exotic land somewhat from the rest of the world, similar to my mind's image of Tahiti perhaps. I am always SO surprised by just how uniform our lifestyles are across the world. The local scenery makes things different but people are people all over the world and we all end up having such similar daily routines. I continue to enjoy your videos immensely and I like that you show your upkeep of the bike and you live this adventure. Cheers!
Loving these videos!! Can’t believe you haven’t got more subs, here’s one more 😂 currently learning to ride but once I’ve passed my test this is exactly the kind of stuff I’d love to be able to do, very inspiring 🙏
I'm enjoying your travels, I have seen some of Australia between Sydney and Melbourne, but not in a motorbike. I remember the flies in Sydney 😐. I have done both islands of New Zealand on a motorbike which was mostly good experience. I live on the other side of the world to you and ride the RE Scram. 🙂
Good way to start the day Joe with more inspiration. I lived over Tasmania for a few months yrs ago never got to see the west coast much, missed out on some good spots clearly. The wild oysters are dam good and are in ankle deep water. I thank you again for the great video see you in the next one. Cheers mate stay safe. ps. John citizen was bogas kinda forgot l had that up till you replied to one of my comments.
Yes, there is so much more to Tasmania than most people realise, I can't wait to tell the people of Melbourne why they might be thankful to Launceston.
Thanks Shane, I bet the ferry too Newfoundland is just as big and the Spirt of Tasmania. Apparently they have new ferries coming in 2024 to replace the existing one's that go to Tasmania.
Yes Sean it's a lot of fun on the Himalayan. The guys on the ferry were all good, they have to deal with hundreds and hundreds of bikes cars and trucks and it is very noisey, that's why they are so loud and firm when they speak.
Thanks Ron. No I am way more basic than that, just a tin of tuna or some fruit, not that exciting. I show it in episode 9 in the Highlands of Tasmania.
It is a great place to ride 1MrBryn, if you get a chance definitely do it. I think there will be 10 episodes from Tassie as there is so much to explore.
A shame the Sun Simulator couldn't shine through the clouds at that location where other videos I have seen show the splayed light rays coming through gaps in clouds, confirming that the hexagonsl Simulator isn't far above the clouds. In case you hadn't noticed, like most people, the Sun vanished around 1996 to be replaced by several hexagonal shaped Sun Simulators which emit bluish hue light that is very high in UV. New Sub, nice videos, Joe
Sprockets are the cheap bit ,Always replace as a set ,or you will only get half the life out of your chain and Sprockets. Glorious coast line ,I didn't do that bit when I was there. Perhaps, next visit
Yes they are but when I had to replace the chain last time it was Boxing Day and only one place was open that had a chain (but no sprockets) I had to be on a ferry the next day so I took what I could get. Surprisingly I got about 15,000 km from the first chain and with all sprockets nearly 12,000km so will more than half
Yes Rob, I thought it might have more security but there are hundreds of fields just like it, the processing plant how ever has security like Fort Knox.
Another great video. TAS is one place I haven't been, but I will certainly make sure I visit there next year.. Also have far can you go on a full tank of gas?
It is worth the effort to get to Tasmania, the next lot of videos are all over Tasmania (I think there will be about 8 videos) and I barely scratch the surface. If I ride economically I can just about stretch it to 450km, it is a 15L tank, I have 2 x 5L fuel container mounted to the side so again riding economically that another 150km each so max 750km but with the extra fuel containers easy 650km riding normally.
I find it funny (strange) you guys a riding in the left lane like the British but uses the metric system like rest of Europe. Do you know why ? Regards from Denmark 🇩🇰
Hi Bjarne, yes I can explain your 2 questions 1. riding on the left hand side, back in the day (like a really long time ago) when people would carry swords, most people were right handed so they would have there sword attached to there left hip, so they would pass on the left incase someone coming the other way tried to attack them, they could pull there sword out to defend themselves which would have there saw on their right side were the attacker was. This carried over to horse, horse drawn coaches and this was all of Europe. There are several reason why a lot of countries change to driving on the right, one being the French Revolution (you can research further into it if interested). The British stayed on the left. The UK then colonised Australia so set up passing on the left here, that's why India and a lot of other countries colonised by the UK still pass in the left. 2. why Australia uses the metric system, this ones is easy, basically most countries made attempts to change to the metric system from the imperial system (some more successful than others), Australia did it smart (knowing what people are like and will always take the easier option) they swapped over on one day, imperial one day metric the next. where as places like the UK did it over time and the USA gave people both options on everything, so people being people they knew the imperial so they never bothered to learn the metric. Hope that answers your questions
Great to see you invest the time to drop in and visit friends and family along your journey.
I don't have a lot but it is awesome when I get to.
"Once upon a time far, faraway..." what a delightful step back in history... thanks for yet another gem.
haha, yes it was a long time ago.

stunning place this Tasmania. Loving it.
If definitely is.
You HAVE AN IMPRESSIVE BODY OF WORK JOE . WELL DONE
Thanks Cooper, I'm glad you are enjoying the channel.
Hi. Thanks for sharing. Love travelling along with you. Its great to see other places.
Stay safe
Thanks mate, glad you’re enjoying the series

Triumph Scrambler 🏍️
Thanks Juszig, I find some new tracks "to me" on the west coast but they're all probably known to the locals.
6:40. I did the deck chairs once and never again. Cabin every time since then.
I have slept just about everywhere including in the dirt beside a HWY and on the wet ground in a jungle, so the boat wasn't too bad.
Nice one... Very good photos at the end of the video...
Thanks Srikumar, glad you like it and the photos.

You're welcome Roger, glad you're still enjoying the series. Yes we are all very similar despite where we are on this rock.
Loving these videos!! Can’t believe you haven’t got more subs, here’s one more 😂 currently learning to ride but once I’ve passed my test this is exactly the kind of stuff I’d love to be able to do, very inspiring 🙏
Thanks mate, glad you’re enjoying the episodes.
I guess I just don’t know how to play nicely with the TH-cam algorithm 😂
I'm enjoying your travels, I have seen some of Australia between Sydney and Melbourne, but not in a motorbike. I remember the flies in Sydney 😐. The next three episodes are all from the west coast of Tasmania, all a little different so hopefully you enjoy them
Look forward to them Strahan is a beautiful spot. Love the colonial history of Australia, Tasmania's has always been a favourite part of it for me.
Yes, there is so much more to Tasmania than most people realise, I can't wait to tell the people of Melbourne why they might be thankful to Launceston.
Awesome trip Joe. The ferry ride reminded me so much of our trips to Newfoundland.
Thanks Shane, I bet the ferry too Newfoundland is just as big and the Spirt of Tasmania. Apparently they have new ferries coming in 2024 to replace the existing one's that go to Tasmania.
Forrest-Birragurra Rd is Epic! Some great MTB and ADV tracks in that area.
There are definitely are a lot of epic trails there Greg.
Looks like we ride the same model Himalayan and I live here in Tassie. Great to see you travelling about and enjoying our amazing state!
Yes it is a stunning place to explore.
Jealous of the Himalayan, looks great fun! The people on the ferry seemed pretty bossy and rude.
Yes Sean it's a lot of fun on the Himalayan. The guys on the ferry were all good, they have to deal with hundreds and hundreds of bikes cars and trucks and it is very noisey, that's why they are so loud and firm when they speak.
Great stuff, we camped in that same spot a few years back.
It’s a good spot, would like to be there when the sun is out
Great to see your ride...wonderfull. Thanks for that !
but tell us... never see you cooking diner before bedtime.......you go to restaurants ??
Thanks Ron. No I am way more basic than that, just a tin of tuna or some fruit, not that exciting. I show it in episode 9 in the Highlands of Tasmania.
Just got back from Tassie (I live in Perth) and I don't think I've ever been so desperate to have a bike on a trip before.
It is a great place to ride 1MrBryn, if you get a chance definitely do it. I think there will be 10 episodes from Tassie as there is so much to explore.

Fair enough. As needs must.
I am surprised those poppies are only protected by such a small fence....
Yes Rob, I thought it might have more security but there are hundreds of fields just like it, the processing plant how ever has security like Fort Knox.

Hope that answers your questions
@@freewayproject what a educational answer 👏🏻. Thanks a lot 👍🏻. Safe riding.
hope the answer made sense, thanks yes will keep safe.
Wish it wouldn't cost me almost $400 to og to Tassie, a lot of money for a pensioner.
yes the cheapest was $99 for the bike $99 for a person then you have that going over and coming back.
