Making a paper model diorama skyscrapers city 1:1800 scale - Empire States Building, New York City

- I printed, cut, folded and glued 30 skyscrapers and over 200 cars on a A4 size miniature diorama city in 1:1800 scale. If you know the area in real life, you will notice that these buildings are not together like this, but I don`t care. I chose the buildings I liked and put them together. I hope you like them as well.
You can download the Empire State Building here:

My favourite skyscrapers, NYC, Time Square!
This work is amazing.
Great job!
May God bless you wherever you are.
Thank you. I`m in Hungary btw.
Where you download the template?
This will be perfect for my Stop Motion videos. Thank you so much. I will be sure to put your Channel name in the end credits
Thank you.
LOOKS LIKE YOU HAD A LOT OF FUN . GREAT JOB!
Thanx.
At that little scale it has many details and it´s very well done. Congrats!!!
Thanx.
Hi Charlie what a beautiful city you built! Very talented and it looks so much fun to build 💜
Fantastic job. Skyscrapercity is wonderful, found many models.
Thanks.
forgive my ignorance, is that a place to print paper models?
@@izzyjones7108 there you can find a lot of templates made by people (obviously you can print them)
really nice
Amazing Job!!!, I love scale models of skyscrapers
Wow amazing work
Thank you.
Hi Charlie I did not imagine that a diorama on paper could look so good. I will try in a future video of my channel, maybe to create an environment, I will think about it. Thank you very much for sharing your art!
Thank you! I can just encourage you... it`s a good fun.
So small I like it
I worked on this months ago.
But I stopped it because I could not find all the templates.
Now I will continue it again
Excellent work
I want to do a similar project
And your video helps me get fantastic ideas
Thank you! Have fun with yours.
This is nice! It's sad but the major news stations use this type of artwork to deceive us into thinking real buildings and objects are getting blown up when it's a model that they zoom in on.
looks fantastic!!!! just curious what are those little cars made out of? and what glue do you use? thanks
Why it only yellow cars
Good
What paper did you use to have that little bit of shine in it?
Glossy photopaper.
That is a fantastic job. I tried building the World Trade Center complex but didn't come out as perfect as yours. I was wonder if you used a special type of paper to build yours. Also are there anymore that I can download besides the one you posted?
Thanks. Yes, check the links in description. There are way more to download.
What is the skyscraper behind park avenue plaza? I need it for my school project that's why!
If you mean the one I`m making between 5:09 and 5:22, then that`s Grand Central Plaza.
Hi! I love your video. I've always wanted to make/have my own model city but never knew how to. Is there anyway i could also find these papers you made the buildings out off?
Yes, have a look at the description, you can find all the links there.
@@bee-kay75thank you! I was to tired to remember those existed
Hello! Amazing models although I have a question, could you please teach us how to build the world trade center twin towers? I watched a video on Facebook where someone has got some models of it at different sizes but I don't understand how does he print them at different sizes and what sizes are those exactly 😪 I wanted to make a twin towers model at the same height of One world trade center 3d puzzle Daron which is 63 centimeters height until the spire but I don't know if paper models of twin towers are able to be made that height, I apologize for my bad english, I'm doing by best by the way I love your videos and your job
Thank you.
Ok, so the height of WTC twin tower was 417m. That is the main structure, without any aerials or antenna. Same as the One tower. So if you want the same height with your model, which is 63 cm, you need to calculate. That is quite high for a paper model, so wherever you download the template from, you probably need to enlarge the picture. But I cannot help you with that. You need to figure it out, how much enlargement you need. You have to do some test printing. You can use picture editor software, or just like me, microsoft word.
I have a WTC twin tower paper diorama model with all 7 WTC buildings (made that over 10 years ago), and I remember, that I resized the whole template to fit the towers exactly into an A4 sheet, so they approximately 30cm high. Yours will be roughly twice as high, so if you would use the same template for example, you would need to enlarge the picture twice as big. You can do that: if you can print A3, you can do the towers on one sheet, if you can print only in A4, you need to put the towers together using two halves.
I hope this helps a bit and makes sense.
Do you have their Burj Khalifa and Effect Tower?
No, I don't.
How do i know the size of the paper to print on? do i calculate 1:1800?? pls help 🙂
Hi there, yes, pretty much. I didn`t have to change much as most of the original size of the templates were ok, but with some of the buildings I had to measure them with a ruler, research online the real size, than calculate and resize the file before printing. However it is still not perfect, and honestly the average scale is actually 1:1824. Some buildings are around 1:1800 and some are around 1:1850. But in the final product you can`t really notice this.
where is the road template?
I have just included the link in the description.
💯👍🏼
this great I love it you are a great man to create paper skyscrapers like i would like to know how you made the taxis

@@bee-kay75 What material are they
@@alejandroroque1570 thick paper/thin cardboard such as cereal box. I cut a thin stripe (1.5mm) and glued on the top of a wider stripe. Then coloured it with filt-tip pen, then cut it up the way you can see it at 6:14
@@bee-kay75 thanks!!!!!
@Charlie B hey I tried to make the scale models I would like if you could give me the PDF or Word of what you made of your scale models can you pass me I ask you on my knees thank you
you could pass me the links of the templates of the streets

Unbelievable, a question what kind of paper did you use for the mockup?
Thanks. I used glossy photopaper.
@@bee-kay75 Oh, thank you very much!!
You didn’t show us how you make the paper you started without even showing us how you did the big stuff and coloring how did you put color on there
All of them are printed. I downloaded the templates from the internet. I didn't paint them.
En que pagina lo descargaste
What about the one world trade center
What did you use to make the cars?
6:14 Just carton and felt-tip for colouring.
@@bee-kay75oh yeah, another question! What type of carton? Like the name of the carton you used
@@BrosAnBrick It was just some kind of cereal box or something similar.
I also wanna make my wtc of nyc but it's not a single is in same size
You need to change the printing size. I spent a lot of time doing that. I had to do research about the heights of the real buildings, than measure the printings and check the scale. If it was out, I changed the printing size to the corresponding percentage. A lot of work at the beginning, but once you got it, it`s not that hard.
@@bee-kay75 thank you so much
Hols could you make a model of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center plis
Hello, i'd like to ask, what's the building that says "citi" shown at 7:34 ? could you give me the link? it's the one shown at the right
