I used those small multilaser mouse with 6.00 sensitivity (probably that mouse had 400 dpi), later I took a bigger one than my hand, went from 6.00 to 3.00, then from 2.20 to 1.5, until I got to 1.2 and now I have a reddragon mouse switching between 1.5 to 2.5. A funny fact is that my reddragon mouse was completely mangled, so either I played with 500 dpi or I played with 1000 dpi (which honestly I found quite uncomfortable since I only played with either exact 400 or 800), now I'm in this video trying to fit in, as it's often easy for me to hit horizontally but difficult to hit vertically
I myself used to play at 3.5 400 DPI which is extremely high, and the reason for that was the mouse. I believe it's reason for a lot of players with bad mice not to use low sens - because the sensor simply can't handle it. Being able to make a 180 is often crucial. You can say "you can make a 180 with like 1.5 sens 400 dpi as fast as with 3.0 400 dpi, you just need a bigger mousema" and you're going to be right, but won't do anything you use, say, an office mouse, or a really cheap one. Higher sens makes it possible but still lets you get kills (of course if it's not WAY too high). Here are some things about high sensitivity you should consider: -Spraying is eaiser -Flicking is esier too, but at the same time the higher sens gets, the harder it is to track enemies. -Causes more aim inconsistencies than a lower sens, BUT it's barely noticeable if you play really a lot. And some of these are the actual reasons why some pros stick to high sens, and why you probably shouldn't copy pros: They play positions that don't require that much of a low sens, they're really used to it so it doesn't make their aim inconsistent unlike usual players, and the third, the most important, they can't change it because if they do, it'll only make it worse, it's a even a bit of risk for them. Now I use 1.99 400 DPI and feels almost perfect for me. My aim is still "unstable" though, I think it's mainly because I barely play any MM/Faceit recently and my mouse is kind of too small for me. A pretty crucial thing is the shape of your mouse, keep that in mind. If you can't find "your" sensitivity for too long, try different types shapes. Remember, shape+weight of mouse is perfect only when you almost don't feel it in your hand at all, like it's just an extension of your arm.
I used to play with really low sense, no mouse pad and a bog standard office mouse and what I found was that I was able to quite easily master spray control but I was rubbish at reacting to a swing and couldn't hit flicks, which basically forced me to fine tune my cross hair placement. Pick highest sens you feel you can almost control 100% but not quite and then practice and don't change it. Anything between 2-5. After 2 weeks of playing your sens will start to feel different, usually slower than it normally is, that is when your muscle memory has adjusted to current sens. If you keep changing sens all the time, your muscle memory is all over the place. Some days it feels too high and some days too low so keep the one you felt most comfortable so there will be no more ups and downs. Im a wrist player, i keep my wrist on the edge of the table while my hand is slightly bent down, wrist is being slightly pressed against mousepad which acts as a pinpoint. There is even pro players who use exactly same playstyle and its compeletely fine as long as you're used to something. Good example is s1mple used exact same playstyle even after he went down to 3.09 from around 4.7-4.8 and he was always a top player. My personal sweet spot is around 3.6-4.5, (3.8 currently) anything from that range works for me. The point is to just trust your feeling if something feels right even it is out of guidelines just keep it and don't overthink it.

i like the lower sensevity more cuz in low sensitivity if you move the mouse just a little bit it dosent change the position of the crosshair too much so you dont have to re adjust it too much after you move it a little bit by mistake
My tip: Start at 2 sens - 400 dpi. Be honest with yourself and decide if it *feels* playable, then if it *feels* too slow, or too fast. In case it feels too slow, make a big jump to 3 sens, so you can find your limit range. Ask yourself the same questions again and keep making 0.5 adjustments until you can narrow your *limit range* down. After that, you can make little adjustments, because you already know your comfortable range. In my case, 2 was too slow to the point it was uncomfortable because I also use my wrist and fingers to aim. 3 felt nice, but a bit too fast because I use my arm to aim as well. 2.5 was nice like 3, but lacked a bit of speed. So I settled for 2.75 that felt just right. Now I don't even bother with it anymore and it's been years. If you keep thinking about your sens while playing, then it means something is wrong. Be honest with yourself and stop copying pros' settings.
7:45, s1mples crosshair placement isn't shaky, it's just that he doesn't like to micro adjust too much. If s1mple's crosshair placement was shaky, he wouldnt be one of the best deagle and rifle players in the world. S1mple's is more accurate with deagle than most pros who have low sensitivity. So if you're good with high sensitivity, then you shouldn't switch to low.
A good tip i saw before to test your sens is to strafe back and forth with a pistol or rifle and try to keep your cursor on your object of choice from mid to long range and whatever sens you can do it most consistently is the one you want. Great video.
My mouse is really shit. I can’t move it beyond a certain speed because it just tops out. This means i have to have an edpi of like 1300. And this makes 180 really slow.

It just hurts my brain when nubs use 5, 7, 8 sensitivity when basically their entire skill base game comes down to luck, lmao. They just do not understand that such high sensitivity requires godlike muscle memory and precision. Please put subtitles in English, so it can be translated into multiple languages. Personally, edpi doesn't have the same sensitivity for different dpi. I use 0.0563 in-game sense at 25600dpi.
Well, both are different. Dpi swaps your mouses overall movement, in and out of game. (So it will be consistent for every game you play, and just browsing the internet) while your in game sens is only used in the game. So realistically, you can change both to find your perfect sens.

low sens - more accurate, better control, slow high sens - worse control, tend to overflick, fast i'd go for low sens since I'm more used to it but they're toe to toe
When i started i used 2000dpi with 2,5 sens now i know why my aim is so inconsistent when i get nervous in a game:) ive lowered it to 1,8 but still need to lower it propably gonna do it gradually.
I remember playing in 2017 with 800 dpi and like 14 sensitivity... I don't know how the actual f i managed that but i gradually lowered it to 800 dpi and 2.4 sens
I've been getting a better kd with lower sensitivity like everyone recommends at around 800 dpi with the awp.You can play around with the sensitivity,by starting at 3.00 and work your way down,1.20 seems to be pretty good for me atm since I've been going mostly 20-30 K 10-15 D in tdm.
I use 1 sens at 1600 dpi since my mouse sensor can’t keep up with fast swips plus I’m comfortable with it i used to play cs 1.6 at 3.7 but don’t know which dpi cuz it was a m’ office mouse 😅
Haven't watched the vid yet but my problem is that usually I play at 3200 dpi and 1 in game sens. Usually I'm pretty good at the game but I feel like I'd benefit a bit more accurate aim... but I really, really struggle playing with low sens. Will see if this video would help or not lmao
Use 400 or 800 dpi and increase your ingame sens, use your edpi to calculate the same sens, eDpi= Dpi multiplied by the ingame sens, if you have 3200 dpi and 1 of sens you have to multiply them, that's 3200 edpi, if you want to go to 800 dpi you have to have 4 of sens in the game, in case you want your configuration to be similar to the one above.
I don't get how people play at such low dpi and sens. I have 2.5 at 1200 and that is for me semi slow, and I have a 450x400 mouse pad which I don't use fully and even at that I still have a higher sens and dpi than normal.
, I play a lot of games were u have to move a lot the player, so I use High sens, but im starting to play a lot of cs go. Should I use 2.27, 800 dpi or use a new sens
7.00 -> The entry fraggers job is mostly to tunnel vision a spot, creating space and getting info (The entry itself is really just a bonus). It's not about going circles around every angle that there is as it's impossible even if your sens is 7 @ 400dpi.
I played 1.80 on 400dpi for like 2 years.. but now for me thats too slow.. (good for long rang one taps but for Fast entire and long flicks its really bad unless u move ur whole arm) Myb because im supreme now and i play against good player where i need a better reaction time So I switched to 2.60 on 400dpi and its feels comfortable for the wrist too. (And its not the same having for example 1.80 sens on 1280x960 resolution and on 1920x1080 resolution) there is sa big difference soo u also need to think about that.
2.75 in game sensy and default mouse sensy ( normal desktop mouse 3 button , don't know what it's default sensy it's HP desktop mouse ) no mousepad also. 4:3 ratio , 800x600 resolution low settings
Low sensetivity beacuse its more consistent and allows more weird movement beacuse of my slight OCD and I often support so I usually just trade flicks and dont flick as much beacuse I dont like awping.

But if I lower the sens I have a hard time using the AWP and easier with AK. Any tips? I always got stuck in Distinguished Master Guardian rank, I wanna move up on that rank :(
I use 3.5 sens with 1600 dpi cus i have a tiny ass desk
and u play good?
I got 1600dpi and 0.50 sens
@@aswinraghav1019 well kinda
@@maxx9941 good for you
I have a tiny ass desk too. You recommend this? I think that’s too sensitive. I’m currently at 1200 DPI and 1.2 sens.
I have 3.5 sensitivity with 400 dpi.
I can't go lower because my desk is too small and also because I'm used to even higher sensitivity.
@Henry Sorry I wrote this before I knew that I had a 1600dpi mouse lmao.
@Henry that is a high sens for csgo. most pros use around 2.2 at 400dpi
@Hein 3.5 is generally considered high on cs
some may call me a mad man
but i use 6.4 ig and 1600dpi and for scoope i use 1.37
my main used to be scout non scope
edit 1
i used to play on 5.4 but it was slow and my "mouse"pad is a bit small + at prime or at least when i was playin i was supreme
and my res is 800x600

Personally, edpi doesn't have the same sensitivity for different dpi.
I use 0.0563 in-game sense at 25600dpi.
why you use your mouse in 25600 dpi wtf
@@mongolao "I paid for the whole speedometer, so I'm gonna use the whole speedometer" energy
my sensi is 4.45 at 1200 dpi .i dont know if i should change it or not
So what's better, in-game sens or dpi?
Well, both are different. Dpi swaps your mouses overall movement, in and out of game. (So it will be consistent for every game you play, and just browsing the internet) while your in game sens is only used in the game.
So realistically, you can change both to find your perfect sens.
@@proguidescsgo yeah I know that but what I was asking really is like which one's got better result/accuracy?
@@hamzakhalid2374 bro just stay on your desktop and try different dpi and select one which you are most comfortable at. And after that don't change your dpi whether you play csgo or some other game. Just try to adjust in game sens after that
I played all my life with sens 2.5 1000 dpi and got lvl 10 on faceit with it, but now i want to play with lower sens, any tips?
My mouse has DPI but not the software, hence i cant find what DPI im at. When clicking the DPI, my sensitivity changes so i know it works. Please help
right now im using 3.15 sense at 1600 dpi lol. im trying to lower it but it just feels strange to play with anything lower
I play on 1.55 ig 400 dpi and 0.9 zoom and im mainily awp so is that too low for an awper????
It's ok
what if im using 9k dpi and 0.35 in game how do i make 800 and the same sens
800dpi
3.9375 or basically 3.94
@@remlet3753 thanks :)
Dude I dont have mouse pad so I play of a smooth wood cardboard and there I have sensi of default and 1200 dpi
So I prefer of high sensi
i already use sens 5 on 500 dpi almost 2,5 years. but i change it after buy new mouse and research high dpi make a low input lag. now i use sens 2-3 on 1600 dpi, maybe because i have worst pc and use TV for the monitor. play csgo i only rank DMG maybe i can reach GE if i use good pc :V
low sens - more accurate, better control, slow
high sens - worse control, tend to overflick, fast
i'd go for low sens since I'm more used to it but they're toe to toe
When i started i used 2000dpi with 2,5 sens now i know why my aim is so inconsistent when i get nervous in a game:) ive lowered it to 1,8 but still need to lower it propably gonna do it gradually.
I play on 800 DPI
0.31865 or
400*, 0.6373.
I cant make 180⁰ on my big mousepad, thats why I use m_yaw switch bind
I remember playing in 2017 with 800 dpi and like 14 sensitivity...
I don't know how the actual f i managed that but i gradually lowered it to 800 dpi and 2.4 sens
Its still very high
I've been getting a better kd with lower sensitivity like everyone recommends at around 800 dpi with the awp.You can play around with the sensitivity,by starting at 3.00 and work your way down,1.20 seems to be pretty good for me atm since I've been going mostly 20-30 K 10-15 D in tdm.
I use 1 sens at 1600 dpi since my mouse sensor can’t keep up with fast swips plus I’m comfortable with it i used to play cs 1.6 at 3.7 but don’t know which dpi cuz it was a m’ office mouse 😅
1.42 on 450dpi works fine for me on G502
What about 1600 dpi you were just talking about 400 or 800 dpi but my mouse has 1600dpi
a have a fucking 1250 dpi and sens is 2.10 ? That is actuly so bad so how much i need to lower my sens ?
I use 800 dpi, 1.30
7.00 -> The entry fraggers job is mostly to tunnel vision a spot, creating space and getting info (The entry itself is really just a bonus). It's not about going circles around every angle that there is as it's impossible even if your sens is 7 @ 400dpi.
whats a good sens for 2400 dpi?
Not sure but 2400 dpi is high. Try 1200 dpi and 1.2 sens. That’s what I use and it’s very manageable.
between low and high ofc but if I had to choose either very high or very low I would go very low
but the lowest my mouse goes is 1000 dpi and thats super slow?
Low butt i increase it when i go sniping
800 dpi and 2.85 sens
But i only use my wrist becoz no table space so i cant use my whole hand and thrs no space for lower sens
400 DPI 1.9 sens works like a charm, tho i switch sometimes to 2.2
Im pretty comfortable with 2.6 sense with 800 dpi. Should i change. Im afraid that if i change it would be too low for other games
if in random public 1 vs 1 servers you are never at the top , you are not playing your sensitivity
Mouse sens 1.44 dpi 400. My rank is between global and supreme, keep ranking up and down due to soloing.
What's your faceit lvl ?
@@Porumb never played it before, work full time and cannot commit to anything to serious.
But xantares is useing mouse acseleration so that slow sensitivity isint that slow
0.85 600dpi how you guys think is that slow or decent ??
Is it odd that i have my sens on 0.55 with accelaration on?
I played 1.80 on 400dpi for like 2 years.. but now for me thats too slow.. (good for long rang one taps but for Fast entire and long flicks its really bad unless u move ur whole arm)
Myb because im supreme now and i play against good player where i need a better reaction time
So I switched to 2.60 on 400dpi and its feels comfortable for the wrist too.
(And its not the same having for example 1.80 sens on 1280x960 resolution and on 1920x1080 resolution) there is sa big difference soo u also need to think about that.
Man I’m in the 4.5 sense and idk wtf my mouse dpi is on, I’m dmg on matchmaking and level 5 on face it (just started it) is it worth for me to change?
never change your sensitivity, once I did and now Im watching this video xD

How to figure out dpi on a normal mouse? That has no dpi feature 😅
Just check the dpi of the mouse and then calculate it..mot that hard just need to look a bit deep...
In cs go I have 1,99 mouse sensitivity. And in my mouse I have 1800 dpi. Is that good

Low sensetivity beacuse its more consistent and allows more weird movement beacuse of my slight OCD and I often support so I usually just trade flicks and dont flick as much beacuse I dont like awping.
doesnt sensitivity depend on screen width? if a pro's res is 1280x720 and mine is 2560x1440, shouldnt i use double his sensitivity?
no, csgo is based off of angles not your moniter
