We were honored to have the legendary band The Slackers on the stage. Enjoy this accoustic version of "Spin I'm in". If you're like us and cant get enough slackers you can listen to this performance & all their songs on any streaming platform. Link is here: fanlink.to/SlackersEP
Wise words. Make time for your loved ones. Things come and go. That's what I got from it anyway. Seemed like a relevant song when I first heard it mid-pandemic.
This seems like a light song with lyrics less intense and personal than most of slacker's songs. But The Slackers are about time, and this particular piece is reminding us that we don't have all the time in the world. So go fucking love him/her right now, before he/she leaves. It's not a sin. It's just the spin they're in. Thanks Vic.
All I can say is this is an incredible piece of genius! As a ska fan I could never get into reggae because of all the strange echo and modulation that's always forced upon the listeners. Was I ever in a world of surprise when I heard this tune and explored the brilliance behind the sugar shack sessions. For me this tune was a true eye (or ear) opener to the world of acoustic reggae. I have always love the Slackers as a two tone ska band but I never experienced their ingenuity in the way that the sugar shack sessions wanted the world to experience their talent. Truly I have no words. For me, this particular tune was the beginning of an unimaginable love story with the sugar shack sessions. I reside far away but I plan to attend one day, please keep up the great work!
