I did the same thing a few years ago now at a previous farm. I sprayed the grass off. Put some cow muck on then.Ploughed it,power harrowed it Cambridge rolled it. The broadcasted the grass seed out the back of an old fertiliser speeder, then a day later rolled the field with a big roller and the field came up fantastic, I’ve recommended this to some friends and they have had the same out come with some lovely lush grass etc
I wish you more luck with the reseeding than we had here the last 3 years. The extreme drought and heatwaves for the last 3 years were very hard on the pastures . A lot of reseeding had to be done , very few was succesfull. We had a inch last week(first rain since half june) , so i did some 3e time reseeding on the same pasture for this year. At the moment 35 degrees C again and no rain in the forecast for 10 days. It is very frustrating.
Good luck with the reseeding. Always scary to plow down and hope all goes well for a beautiful lush pasture, that is firm enough to support the large cows you have.
Interesting vblog. Phone John the Metal Detecting friend to detect the land before you reseed the land . There might be something interesting under that old grass . Also John will be happy if he finds something. Stay safe and Crack on .
I hope it's not Sodium Chlorate kills every thing in sight and has a nasty habit of creeping, when I used to use it as a Ground Stewart on the local allotment society gardens you were supposed to allow two foot from residential gardens I always allowed four foot but it is good stuff.
Very late in the year for reseeding and if lands gets wetter don’t roll it it will be waterlogged water will sit in it as there is no grass there for a while to absorb it

thats what i hope to achieve too
Top it with the disc mower and spread muck or slurry on it before ploughing and run the chain harrows before and after drilling does a nice job
💓WOW That will be very interesting to see it through to the end might give me the push I need to dig mine over and reseed my garden💓
Interesting video Richard, look forward to seeing more 👍
Thanks 👍

You ought to trim the hedges in that feild to get nice and tight to the fence when ploughing
It's hard to beat reseeding would you use a high sugar grass with white or red clover in it cows love it
It'll be a great job.
Hi Richard looking forward to this
How long will it take it to turn yellow and do you reseed the field with the tractor or do you spread the seed by hand
about 4 days , by tractor
When do you envisage it will be ready for grazing again?
Slug pellet spreader on the back of the sprayer
Brilliant video
Good morning to you sir from wellington Somerset
Make sure u get the Ph right, that's a massive part of it! We used sand .

just remember i don't upload the videos live, this was actually sprayed 5th September
The Funky Farmer ye but I’m just recommending you if you haven’t yet don’t roll it and if you do don’t have the roller as heavy as possible
Is this the paddock that you sprayed for thistles?
no that was a different one
Good video. Why do they want to ban Roundup?
Apparently give u cancer but the other week so did lettuce
Good video stay safe 😷😷😷👍👍🏴🏴🇬🇧🚜👩🌾☝️
Do a muck spreading video

There's probably a delay between the event and the video upload.
