Loving the truck, subbed and switched my notifications on so I can keep up to date with your adventure. Super proud of you all for doing this. Much love and stay safe ❤️
We have had a few power issues with our van, hopefully get them sorted next week then will head south too. Only things we have booked is Ningaloo in June 🤣 do you guys have a time frame?
Just watched you guys on Fraser Island and first thing I seen was NPS so that got my attention so on this episode I can subscribe I also have a Suzi NPS 4x4 and can say it’s the best vehicle I’ve ever owned so I’m along for the ride with you guys I live in Hervey Bay and used to go over to the island often but haven’t had the big Suzi over there yet it’s nice to see a young family doing exactly what you guys are doing making memories cheers 👍🍻
Hey guys. Cool video, cool rig and it's great to see you out on the road. I noticed that your steering wheel seemed not to be straight. If you haven't straightened it yet, it is quite straightforward. I can tell you how to do it if you like. Happy travels and have fun!
@@ThePaynefulFamily No worries, I'll try and make it as clear as I can. Park your rig with the wheels as straight as you can. Using a flat blade screwdriver, there are 4 pins to push just under the airbag. You will see four round holes. This will release the air bag. Gently lift the airbag up. The air bag is connected by a yellow wire. Using a small pick or scribe, lift the little yellow clip on the bottom of the airbag. This will lift about 7mm. You will now be able to pull this connection off and separate the airbag. Just put it aside for now. Looking down in the centre of the steering wheel, there will be one nut 21mm, I think. Crack this nut and undo it nearly all the way. BUT DO NOT REMOVE IT! Leave it on a few threads. Now hit the starting wheel up with your hands trying to knock it loose. After a few hits, it will come loose of the spline. Once it is loose, you can now remove the nut. This is now the MOST IMPORTANT PART Looking into the steering wheel, there is what looks like a small rectangular plastic box without a lid. This is your indicator automatic off after turning. It MUST STAY ON THE SHAFT(DONT LIFT IT), and it MUST STAY INLINE WITH THE TOP OF THE STEERING WHEEL. So gently LIFT THE STEERING WHEEL ONLY, DONT BRING THE INDICATOR AUTO OFF WITH IT but as you turn the wheel to straighten it TURN THE INDICATOR AUTO OFF WITH IT ( it will move freely) and put it all back down to where you think straight is. Replace the nut loosely. You will want to take it for a small test drive to see if it is actually straight. You can drive without the air bag connected as long as the nut is on the center. You may find you have to move one notch either to the left or right. Once you are happy with it tighten the centre nut back down firm. Reconnect the airbag and firmly push that yellow clip down. Rethread the yellow wire in its place. Now line the airbag up on its locating pins and give it a firm press. This will lock it on and activate the horn at the same time. It should be done now, and your wheel will be straight. It's a lot to read but it is pretty simple. If you need clarification just let me know.
Couple of things. Only a 100 amp in the truck. Might need more. and why is the steering wheel put of alignments when driving straight. . Good truck exciting times ahead guys. New sub. Look foward to your posts. 👍
Thanks for watching. We only went 100amp to run our fridge as we have a 1200amp in caravan. Unfortunately when we picked truck up the steering was like this. Booked for a service in a few weeks and they’ll fix at the same time.
Well done! You guys are blessed and ready for whats coming soon, we all need to take a leaf out of your book and prepare.
