Nice tutorial. I have been following your teachings for a while now and i will say that they are very detailed and explicit. My question is 'How can i get efficiency and torque-speed contours of a SRM?'. Is it possible in MotorCAD

Hi, Is there any way to create an out runner motor? We manufacture motors for drones and we need motors where the rotor is outside but I don't see any way to create one using this software.

I am interested to use this interesting software to design a novel motor. It has a novel configuration and does not match with any of the modeled machines (IM, PMSM, SRM, ...) in Motor-cad. I was wondering if I can design a new and different topology in your software and benefit from the simulation capabilities of the software?

Dear great scholar! I saw in your version had a material called "30DH". Could you show me where to find it? I need to have it in my material database. Please!

Nice tutorial. Whats the difference between Motor cad thermal and Motor cad lab module of the software...

Hi Madhu, the Thermal module enables you to set-up the cooling system model and contains the lumped parameter solver which calculates the temperatures in the machine during operation. The lab module contains algorithms which compute the performance of the machine across the full operating envelope and applies an optimal field weakening control strategy. The lab module links to both the Emag and Therm solvers and gives outputs such as efficiency maps, torque/speed characteristics and performance predictions over duty cycles.

Thank you. Its really informative. But does the MotorCad considers the CFD analysis of the motors as most of the mechanical analysis or multiphysics software carry out CFD analysis for the complete motor. So can you please let me the reliability of MotorCad with reference to other CFD softwares.
