Used to run a mowing business and i spent countless hours designing and redesigning something just like this in my head! Glad someone made it, bummer I didn't take the initiative to be that someone!
I have had a Z trimmer for 3 years now, I'm pleased with it but it does have a learning curve. For sure it needs an adjustable height function to compensate for string wear. I have made modifications to mower to improve the edging function.
I start out with a new line, when it becomes too short then I shift the line on the spool to be 1" longer on 1 side and continue the shifting process until the short side of the line is used up then put a new line on and start the procedure again. Also, I 've learned to carry a pair of diagonal cutters to snip back the whip ends taper this improves the cutting performance of the line making better looking and faster results. I have 300' of concrete and 1100' of beds to edge but not much trimming (Vertical versus Horizontal head position.) At the beginning of the season, I may use 3 lines per round, however, after first few times I can do the whole 1400' on 1 line. I'm 71 and have a bad back, there is no way I could do this if I had to carry or push a trimmer/edger.
I purchased this 3 years ago and the fact that i love the ideal of its purpose to attach it to a mower, but i had nothing but bad luck..kept blowing the fuse, it needs a bigger motor it barley did anything when cutting weeds just kept stopping the weed eater head very week motor ..i done all i could to get it to work correctly and the Motor is just to weak then blow the dam fuse ,, and i didn't take it into tall thick stuff either just regular stuff around the house,,boxed it up sent it right back i was very upset cause i wanted it to work
Hey Ed, That's exactly what I'm doing tomorrow and I move very quickly and aim for about 10 seconds per normal grave stone. (4 hours continuous in Central Florida) I use a $200 SRM-225 Echo with the speed feed head for faster loading. I wear a full face shield, ear plugs and ear muffs, long pants and shirt, so I'm never worried about getting hit by things. I've made a number of mods to my Echo to allow moving very quickly, but its very difficult to explain... In short, move the left hand grip up as high as it will go. Attached a 32 inch stick to the bottom of that grip with zip ties. Angle the grip so that string head is flat to the ground, and the stick is about 45 degrees up from horizontal. Use your right hand to suspend the Echo and use your left hand to steer the Echo, and let the string head ride on the ground. IF you attempt to pick that head up for every stone, you'll wear out your back. Its an amazing speed advantage once you understand how much more control you have. I have pictures, but don't know how to send them. It totally eliminates the 'dig in' that the head wants to do. I move counterclockwise around object, and let the head pull me along, instead of forcing it to go against its natural direction. As well, I am for hire, locally.

Like I told the others, you are welcome to give, sell or attempt to patent it. It just doesn't matter to me. Mr Brown
Useless invention, much like the “wireless” phone chargers. While these devices seem cool, it’s much more efficient and looks better by doing it with a regular weed whacker.

Hey fellas! How would these work on a graveyard? I’m sure it would be much better in straight runs

It should have an adjustment nut, and a quick change pin between trimmer and edger. Also a front mount for garden tractors.
REALLY thinking about one of these or the 4M trimmers....
Could you put a speed feed head on that thing? If so would make it much better
Went to the website and couldn’t find this thing.
It can’t have a gap between the deck and the trimmer. Theta would leave in cut grass
Freaken Awesome
Will it work on a stand on mower?
if the deck is fabricated.. then it will work!
The idea is great, the implementation needs a lot of work.
I wish I had one
I have been cutting grass professionally for 23 years now I not to lazy to just grab my sthil 100 weed eater and do the old fashion way.
I lost a leg and can't wear a prosthetic. So unfortunately that option is available for me anymore
The adjustments required to manipulate this trimmer isn’t exactly something you’d be doing from the seat of a riding mower…
waist of money the motor will not keep up with the grass need faster motor and stronger.
As someone from Kentucky it’s not looie-ville it’s Loo-is-ville. Pronounced
No it's not. It's Lou-a-ville or Lou-a-vull. I'm from there too.
shit! someone stole my idea haaa
😂😂😂
Completely useless
Don't waste your money. Piece of junk! Wasted $375
Would you mind telling me the problems? I'm looking for something to speed up trimming around headstones at a cemetery.

Wireless phone chargers are awesome! Don't need to wear out the port or break the seal of a waterproof phone.
