    This video is a little short because I lost some recordings of the build stages. But I think it's gives enough insight into how I did it. Also, the antenna cable is too thin, so it doesn't appear in high-contrast photos. Cheers!

      this A-20 is a bit unusual fue to the russian turret with UBT machine gun in the back. did this kit came with any historic information on the plane? did it had an otiginal us turret as well?

    This is a wonderful model, it gives justice to one of Ed Heinemann's masterpiece, a lot of years ago the Airfix Boston was one of my first models, naturally this is from another planet! I liked a lot the paint scheme of the US in the Pacific also.

    It's really cool to see this - my buddy and I currently fly Russian A-20's in a pair in the IL2 flight sim, usually stacked with 20 x 100LB'ers, dropped in ripples. Devastating.

      I wish we got the turret that is in this model! Any idea what submodel this model is? e.g. A-20B-xx.
      Also, those 20 bombs are actually 104kg (229 lbs) each; much larger and more devastating than 100 pound bombs!

    Hello Rahmi!
    Interesting choice. It looks like a lot of work to do getting the plastic together.
    But in the end you get a good representation of this less than well known light bomber/attack airplane...
    I have to gather my courage before starting my own Boston from the stash.
    Thanks for the warning.

    • @wojciechbanasik8422
      @wojciechbanasik8422 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, what do you you use to thin down x22? I tried IPA and tamiya acrylic thinner but can't get really great (smooth) results unless I flood the surface with it and that softens the details a lot... Maybe my thinning ratios are wrong?x

    • @Scaleaton
      @Scaleaton  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, It's RB Mini Rivet R tool with extra wheels. Never use X22 with alcohol or any acrylic thinner. Mr Leveling Thinner or any lacquer thinner is the best with it. For the ratio "less is more" ;) Try %20 and apply several layer until get a shiny surface.

      @@Scaleaton thank you. you seem to use tamiya acryl and gunze with both thinner and IPA sometimes, is there any principle ? Or just depending on color or better stablity than IPA? I am suffering from crack when i mix acryl with IPA 1:1.5

    • @Scaleaton
      @Scaleaton  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I always use leveling thinner with gloss paints and gloss varnishes. Also it makes flat paints more opaque if you are looking for that. That's why I prefer alcohol when I am doing any "shading" with airbrush. Alcohol or acrylic thinner makes more transculate the mixture. Otherwise tamiya acrylic thinner is way better than any alcohol but not cheap in my country. That's another reason why I use alcohol instead of tamiya acrylic thinner.
