@@Demonfire93 It has a unique playstyle - lvl1 and lvl2 creatures(like crossbowmen and spearmen) are completely useless and only serve as a cannon fodder for your more expensive ones. Your main party has to have 2 stack of your strongest creatures(like crusaders and angels) and at least three heroes, who are going to fill the roles of secondary skills from homm 3 or homm 5. One of those heroes must have a scouting skill, because a maxed out pathfinding skill not only removes foreign ground movement penalty for your entire army, but also increases the movement point themselves by whopping 50%. Another hero should have a maxed out tactics tree - attack and defense are absurd in this game, your creatures can literally become almost 4 times stronger. Tactics(by that i mean any skill from the tree) doesn't stack so only the highest modifier works - make sure to give all your tactics items(that boost the creature attack/def by a certain %) to your strongest hero. Both of the abovementioned heroes should get some magic - even having a level 2 school makes these heroes marginally useful. The rest of the heroes(1-2-3) should have some maxed out magic schools, all of them are fine, just choose whatever you like.
@@Demonfire93 the equilibris does make it better for the scenarios, but play the campaign without it,the changes are quite significant and make some stages too easy and others too hard, just play the campaigns vanilla and then u can play the scenarios with it if u want i'd avise u so
You have to play homm 4 with Equilibris installed, otherwise it will be a waste.
Thanks, I'll have to look into it, because HoMM 4 does often feel like the red headed step child of the HoMM series.
