@@littlematt293 I agree. Mark's channel seems like it's gonna be a travel history vlog channel while Tom's channel is warm and homey nowadays. Get videos from both worlds! It's quite awesome.
Mark, I met you at a fuel station last summer and we chatted for a while (and gave you screen-wash). You mentioned you where thinking of starting vlogging, I said you should for sure! and here we are. good luck on your channel and adventures. I'll be tuning in every step of the way! - Sam.
26:00 key to open big old ammo tin box like a corned beef tin but on a bigger scale. 13:20 i believe its an engine valve eather intake or exhaust valve not a piston.. great find Mark top man 🇬🇧🤙
It's very similar to the UK indeed, but our infrastructure is so much better. And almost every Dutch person speaks fluent English, so you've got no problem communicating with literally everyone. Excited for these vlogs in The Netherlands ❤
The part that you pulled out that you’s thought was a piston is in fact a valve, which is 100% from an aircraft as its far too big to be from a smaller vehicle. The slight dome on the end of it suggests to me that it may be a sodium filled valve which was used on numerous old aircraft engines, most radial engines had them, and even the likes of the Rolls Royce Merlin and Griffon had them, and if it is a sodium filled one then its an exhaust valve, and the fact that its bent suggests to me that that aircraft suffered catastrophic engine failure, an absolutely amazing find Mark, loving these videos🤩👏🏼
I second that valve not piston a piston from an aircraft would be a lot bigger than that valve & would have like 4 parts to it as it bolts to the crank shaft
This is the type of treasure hunting I love watching, I think I'd need a dedicated house just to store the stuff I'd hoard if I had a chance to do something like this, don't think there'd be anywhere in Australia where you'd find stuff like this though. And to think you've only explored like 0.1% of it. Looks like the valve and transmission looking things yesterday might go together with the one you found today, and to think it might actually all have come from the same plane parts he found. Absolutely mental stuff these vlogs are, 10/10
love it man be safe but again you are keeping history alive. cant wait for the summer again hopefully we get some motovlogs on your bike.ill watch tom but ive been excited for you to finally get into this.
Loved it mark !! So interesting! The past brought too the future !! Big up too your friend he seems a really cool gentle loving guy !! Awesome watch !!
Great vlogs this passed week mate, think you’ve found your niche 🤌 bas is a great character also, full of knowledge Proud to be British 🇬🇧 p.s thank you to our fallen soldiers 🫡
That valve must have come from a big engine. It's hard to believe that all that stuff is still in the ground. I love everything you're doing as it's so educational. Keep a going!!
We have two days here in Canada Nov 8th for us Indigenous people and Nov 11th. I have family that are/were in the military, even though i'm indigenous i still show respect on the 8th and 11th. At they end of the day we are all human and brothers and sisters. We need too come together as one no matter who we are or what skin color we have much love to you Mark.
Thank you mark for another incredible and amazing video. It as been so much fun following your absolutely wonderful and incredible Journey through the foot steps of our hero’s. Thank you for always being such a wonderful, inspiring, and absolutely kind person. I hope you are doing well? ❤️
MORREEE I NEED MORE i absolutely love anything to do with ww2 and im thinking that long bit with what looks like compressor blades on it could have been an air starter for a plane (possibly)
The key is used for Ammunition box to open like a sardine tin and breaks and peels back the copper lining (I think). A great vlog and I think you have found your audience and subject matter. Absolutely love the history in these mega vlogs. Well done 👍🏻 and keep it up.
Mark that's epic. I was over just before D Day celebrations earlier in the year and did a lot of WW1 and 2 site visits amongst other things. I hope you get to see more along the way. Keep smashing it mate, loving your adventures.
As a history geek that played battlefield 1942 and played operation market garden quite a bit this was cool to see. My father severed in the Army (US). Learned a lot of history from him.
Loved the last 3 vlogs and this one as my family members were in the army. Sadly never got my great grandads kukri (as he was part of the Gurhas)as the army never gave it to my family wish I had that with his medals. Keep up the Vlogs Mark love the adventures and the army stuff as well.❤❤
Hi Mark, I have to say it, you are wasted in the heating/air con game, you need to be doing more of this kind of vlog, military, history and travel and whatever else you are hiding from us 👍🐕
Hi mark these vlogs been different and so good and bas is brilliant and the stuff he knows is so unreal ❤we have a school in Grimsby which had been damaged from the world war don't know too much info but thankyou brilliant vlogs you do ❤️🫶🫶🫶🫶
Mark is there a schedule to the vlogs or just as and when life happens? 😂 cause I'm still like a week so so behind and it's stressing me😂. Love the fact your uploading so often tho I've got plenty of content to catch up on and to keep me entertained 💯
Always wanted to try metal detecting. Used to go down on the Thames when we were younger. Found a few old bullet casings and coins but mainly bikes and scooters. 😂
Just a an off-topic question: Do you ever think you'll do airsoft content? Or maybe just 1 video? Would be cool to see you "in action", maybe even on the 110 with the lads. I mean, it would be perfect as a terrain while Tom is working towards his airsoft arena. (For video content, I'd recommend looking at "Orange Spartan") As mentioned before, would be epic to see you show off your training.
When my daughter was little there were some houses being built next to her school and they dug up an unexploded world war 2 bomb... it was safely dealt with thank goodness.
Actively chose to watch Mark’s vlog before Tom’s vlog… This is the way now 🙏
I do the same mate, Toms is a before bed one for me!

Yes that’ll explain why it was found next to the ammo boxes thanks Ryan
Another great vlog Mark. You and Bas need to go back there on a lads trip with Ken and Joe. Imagine what the 4 of you could find!
Yes!! That would be amazing!
Would be awesome

The ‘piston’ you found is actually a valve out of a cylinder head! Great video!
I second that valve not piston a piston from an aircraft would be a lot bigger than that valve & would have like 4 parts to it as it bolts to the crank shaft
its a valve
Thanks for the info!
That green bottle is a great find. Especially completely intact and not smashed. Love this vlog mark!

26:07 that's 100% the tool to open the biggest can of spam
😂😂😂
The key is for artillery ammo boxes the Germans used it for their boxes. They also used it for other things it was a universal key
Explains where I found it next to the box
Hi mark you should stop at Shifnal on your way home way home and go to costford to see all the old war planes it’s free to get it to
I’m going a different way home to hull from Holland
Hope you’ve all had/have a good day
Thanks Meg 🙏🏻🥰
the key for a really large tin of sardines :D
😂😂😂
When my daughter was little there were some houses being built next to her school and they dug up an unexploded world war 2 bomb... it was safely dealt with thank goodness.
Cool
Is that large key not off a detonator?
Box opener I think
@TheMarkoflife more than likely. But I just like to the idea the other half of it is still out there.
Whole field just wiped out 🤣
👍👍
👍🏻👍🏻
one day you bring alfie along
One day 🤙🏻 and Arlo
twist box ignition key for land mine ignition that key im pretty sure of it
Probably it was next to the box
Imagine hating America and we barely even think about y'all.. lol (well I guess I do bc im watching your videos hahah)
22:30 I looked up v1o6A and it came up with a war ship idk if that gives any clue on what it could be tho
Did it? Thanks that’s mental

Right. Now then. What’s going on here 😂😂

Sadly heading back to work soon eight?
Right?
Right unfortunately
26:41 couldn't that be a cap to a pipe bomb
I’m not sure what it is
27:35 that silver tube Looks like a casing from some type of weapon system
Possibly
