The wonderful teacher here who uses a very soft pencil to start with, probably 8b maybe even 12b!

lovely use of hard/soft pencil and erasure...don't normally like smudging but this is done masterfully resulting in soft facets...lovely piece of work...

I never tire of watching your students draw ... this one, in particular, is a wonderful artist and has created a stunning work of art!! :-)
Tip: if u want to blend darker like this artist take some graphite powder ander take a little powder on your napkin paper and rub it your drawing.
Academic Fine Art I was saying to myself “ why dont my pecil scratches blend out that smooth?” Now I get it. Graphite powder. Magic.
