Penske Entertainment needs to sell the series to Liberty. Other than fixing up the speedway, they haven't accomplished much other than a bigger TV deal that's less accessible to fans. Also, most fans see a pattern and feel like Penske has clearly benefitted from officiating double standards and their pace on ovals raises eyebrows. The series would be so much better off.
Or Dorna.
I feel like Liberty is gonna focus on the road courses than the speedway's (other than the indy 500)
No thanks, I don't want IndyCar potentially being positioned by the owners of F1 as a feeder series. I'd also be concerned that they wouldn't see the value in oval races except for the Indy 500. While I agree that the current IndyCar leadership has fallen short of the expectations we all had and that they need to be more ambitious, I also think it's important that the series be led by people who really understand first-hand what makes IndyCar special, not some soulless corporate jabronies in a boardroom hundreds of miles away from the nearest race track on the schedule.
I wouldn't be opposed to new leadership, but NOT LIBERTY. F1 is terrible compared to Indycar, and it would be a massive mistake
Under Liberty Media it's gonna be F2: NA edition. And possibly no ovals except the Indy500. No thanks.
