    Love the David and Goliath ref! I guess that it’s whatever the mechanic likes and gets used to. Tools are a funny thing. I worked with a Chiller mechanic who had cheap cheap tools at a Sears store here in SoCal. And he was happy with them and he got the job done. My Klein’s, Knipex, Veto, Channel locks, and Craftsman were nothing to him. He had a Husky toolbag that looked like a briefcase, ( They don’t make it anymore) filled with Husky tools. He’s been in the trade for 30 years still using his Husky tools. Thank you for a great video,Zach. Happy New Year 🎊🎈🎆 and God bless!

      Timothy Salomon Hey Timothy! I have been very blessed. I just retired on Monday. 27 years ago I started off with what I could afford. I worked for a Union shop. My first purchase was a Craftsman 3/8 socket set for $29.95. I only made $11 per hour. So yes I purchased inexpensive hand tools and sometimes used ones. Some of them I still have. I have the original Craftsman set. My employer provided all the big tools. Torches, recovery, vacuum pump, leak detector, gauges, battery operated tools, etc. It’s only been in the past 8 years that I have all my own big tools. I’m self sufficient. But in those 27 years since I started. I upgraded my hand tools. One by one. Not necessarily because of name. But because of comfort. And bottom line. I liked the tools! The HVAC trade has been good to me. I started off as a $7.50 warehouse boy and filter changer and ended as a $51 Journeyman service mechanic. It’s been a great ride. Have a great Thursday and New Year. God bless.

    The Husky does not to appear to be as durable as the Veto, which is why it is cheaper. Like my grandad always told me, you get what you pay for. And if you go the cheap route, you will be buying it more often. As always, nice video Zack. Happy New Year!

      You can buy 3 huskys for one veto... They will outlast plus it is easier to get things in and out of you bag when you're just tryna to grab a tool and not stand there and fight your pouch just to get a pair of pliers. And you can get bigger tools in there plus misc. Crap

    I have a TP3 that I just keep tools needed for fitting gauges on refrigeration systems, and adjusting pressure switches etc. Got a free TP4B but not yet tried it out.

    Both have a 5 year warranty...if the husky bag breaks... just take it back to The Home Depot, with a receipt of course, and get a new one before you leave. I have done it many times until they stopped making the bag I preferred using. Worked like a charm. I was gifted a Veto Tech MCT bag and now use it as my daily carry ... I quite like it.

    Absolutely awesome content. Bag load out videos are like crack for HVAC guys. I would love to see veto get on board as a sponsor. Monthly bag load our videos would be awsome. Veto if you are watching let’s get on board to show what your bags can handle. Mb3 and tpxl are next on my list of desires bags !!!

    I have a Veto Pro-Pac OT when loaded out weighs in at about 40 lbs ... That's too heavy to lug around and is expensive . I now use an Ideal leather carry tote that my home builder gave me in 1995 ... Still a little heavy but I really like it ... Good vid Zack ...

    When I did residential I carried a husky shoulder bag, that was by far my favorite bag that I used in residential but for the commercial I haven't found anything that beats the veto pro pac or the mb2

    Knock them both over when full and see how great stuff stays in place. Used to happy with my veto and it’s always kept tools in exact spot I put them.

    I haven't tried the veto bag so I am biased but I do have that husky bag as an electrician and it beats out my $90 klien backpack by a mile for usability. If you are going onto sites or to houses and you find yourself using a few specific hand tools or a meter then that husky is a cheap storage option punching above its weight class. I am not paid in any way to rep them and am sure other companies make great products also this product is a steal and holds up even when being carefree about your tools.

    I've been debating whether or not to pick up the TP4, just might have to give it a shot.

    TP4B just feels superior but I agree that the space is limited. I carry limited tools in mine. Great video Zach

    Nice video as usual, Zack. I wish the Husky bag had a hard, waterproof bottom. If it did, I would at least try it.

    I used to use husky tool pouches all the time but they don't last as long as my veto bags so in the end you save more money with Veto

  • @Brentridley
    @Brentridley 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    It’s about quality and durability. It’s easy to get things in out of the husky but the same could be said for a paper sack. That husky bag won’t last a fraction of the time. I would like to see you do some durability tests - throw out a moving car, rub it in the dirt, etc.

    • @Zacksshoptalk
      @Zacksshoptalk  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brent Ridley and a titanium box is more durable than the veto. New service bag idea!

      Husky bag is a third of the price so of coarse it wont last as long but its waaayyy cheaper!

    For vertically tiered, closed bag storage, Veto bags (such as the tech series and back packs) seem to have the best design for accessibility and ease of carrying. However, when it comes to open tops and TP's, Husky and AWP may be the better choice. Once you stuff these, tools are accessed from the top so the tiered system is not as important.

    Speaking from an average Joe prospective The level of work I do with my tools doesn’t justify Veto prices. I been using husky bags and pouches for a long time and the only failure I had was quickly replaced by Home Depot. PROs make good money and need the best tools and equipment, that’s how they make a living. To each their own but I’ll stick with what’s been working for me. All that being said I will agree the Veto bags are very nice looking.

      I have been pleased with husky over the years. A lot of reason for buying high end is buying the hype that surrounds it.

    Even if the Husky is cheaper and doesn’t last as long as the VETO, how many Husky bags can you buy to equal the VETO? The Husky will last just as long overall.... and you get a new bag every 2-3 years.

    How dare you Zack, I can't believe you would say such a thing. That another bag might possibly be better than a Veto. If you keep this up you're going to cause the Earth to spin off of its axis and very bad things will happen. The glaciers will melt and the seas will rise. Victoria's secret models will no longer be beautiful and sexy. Beer will no longer tastes good and Doritos will be disgusting. What have you done Zack.... WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!!! 😲😲😲

      Knock both bags over and the hudky bag will majority of all the tools, but I mean if you're careful it shouldn't be an issue , definitely up to preference. Costwise obviously husky
