I am THOROUGHLY CONVINCED that the way to decipher a true Christian in Nigeria is to ask them the simple question "Is TB Joshua a man of God or a god of man?".
BBC Africa rarely has documentaries with two parts let alone three. That shows you how much effort put into this particular one.
No other documentary of theirs gathered as many views as this. What is even more sacrilegious is that majority of Nigerians vilified the purveyors of truth.

So many Christians are watching fake, I mean verified fake pastors come out to support and call TB Joshua a man of God and you are still there... You are not asking any questions.... Why is this verified fake pastor also saying this man is a man of God... ..... Something is very wrong with the foundation of many Christians

I totally agree with you on the test of a true Christian in Nigeria. I am Nigerian and a born again Christian. From the very first day I heard of TB Joshua as far back as the 1990's, I knew that he was false. Every time I saw or heard of Him, I was irritated in my spirit. No true believer in Jesus Christ who is filled with the Holy Spirit would ever believe that TB Joshua was sent from God. It was clear as day that his doctrine and the 'church' he operated is a CULT and does not belong to the body of Christ.

BBC was justified in airing the documentary as it shed light on important but often overlooked issues. By addressing topics that many are hesitant to discuss, the network is fulfilling an educational role, preventing people from suffering due to ignorance. This aligns with the sentiment expressed in Hosea 4:6 of the Christian Bible, emphasizing the perils of lacking knowledge. The insights presented in the documentary are crucial for both followers and clergy, helping to prevent potential harm and destruction.

He still has millions of followers so not everyone knows about it, or knows that the Synagogue Church of All Nations is a cult. Millions of people will never have heard of them before this documentary and the BBC has worldwide reach and far greater credibility compared to the all the minions of SCOAN combined.
Millions around the world will have been enlightened by the documentary especially the young, and will start questioning their consciences of which "church" they are in or of what "church" they are about to join.
Just like someone else mentioned elsewhere the BBC documentary should be played several times a day in every country of the world, and I am adding, forever, in order to deter people from falling into these predatory "churches" and other cult organisations of whatever flavour..

@@omalicha7388 am from Southern Africa and I tell you he has a lot of influence in a lot of churches in our country, you even get to get his anointing objects in most of the churches from water to stickers, I do evangelism on a part time basis, I was once a follower of TB Joshua and I destroyed all his objects 5 years ago after I had a personal encounter with Christ, the things I got to see in that encounter opened my eyes to see the things behind all those miracles and powers behind those anointed things and a lot of deception in the modern day church, in most cases I am quiet about this topic because I learned something from God , if a person has zeal and love to know more about the kingdom of God God reveals himself to him and he reveals his kingdom, but if people come in search of miracles and fleshly things of this physical world there is wen devil takes opportunity and deception is born, meaning anyone seeking for life concerning issues will always find himself in the devil’s hands without even him knowing, and instead of receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit you will be receiving things that need top up or that expire and need renewal and even with out u knowing they become idols in your life, i can give you a lot of examples from the bible that will oppose all these activities happening in the modern day church and a lot of people turn a blind eye on them

Iv lived in Ikotun egbe for more than 9 years and I can confirm that every thing said in that interview is true and there is more. My mum’s friend was also a victim of his occult powers. Close to my house, where is estate is built, there used to be a river where he takes these white pple to and hypnotizes them. Till this day, there are pple blinded by his fake generosity, saying he was humble but humility does not shield the truth. Im just happy that someone hd the guts to expose him and I hope wherever he is, he pays for his sins. Im just happy that finally his ways were exposed with live evidences. Mind u, he bought everyone in govt, including the police. Nobody dares to stop Synagogue bus for road. You are right, Adeola. People don't want to believe because they idolise their leaders. Also, I think that people knew about the problem plaguing the church; they just wouldn’t accept that they were wrong in the lies they believed. They would rather be in the congregation of self-proclaimed pastors who validate their own beliefs, even if those beliefs are based on falsehoods or myths. The bible already warns about a time when people will reject true and sound teachings, instead opting for teachings that align with their desires and preferences. So when situations like this occur, their coping mechanism is denial.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 said: "For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around many teachers who say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths." The passage encourages holding on to sound doctrine and a commitment to truth, even when it may be uncomfortable or challenging. The majority of Christians don't read their bible; they go by what the church leaders tell them because they crave messages that cater to their individual personal desires rather than seek and accept the truth.

Thank you Adeola, may Jehovah continue to grant you favor and protect you for speaking out the truth. This is why Africa remains behind in everything good compared to other parts of the world. Pastor, politician and even kings and queens are criticized in other parts of the world, but in Africa, they are treated like god. We forget that this is why our leaders and so called pastors are so comfortable and bold to take advantage of us all. This woman and men who came out despite all the threats from people to tell their experiences with TB Joshua need to be respected and protected for their courage. It is even more shame and disgusting that even our so called pastors who supposed to encourage people like this strong woman and men for their courage to speak out, are the ones trying to silence them, and encourage the society to go after them.

Hi Adeola. You've said it all. One point I took is that there have been reports a few years before he died. We can't judge, but in this country Nigeria, you can be truthful and be safe. People will go after you and persecute you and lyingly say all sorts of bad things against you for the sake of our Lord Jesus. I have personally witnessed it everywhere I go. So, sometimes instead of saying the truth, I have learned to be quiet for my safety and that of my family.

It means the woman who wrote a book about TB Joshua claiming to have served him for 13 years is a kidnapped and a murderer, if her confession is true then she needs to be arrested immediately. To say she was supplying TB Joshua with virgins means she is just as guilty as the person she is accusing.
