Love it! I had 3 different models of it's sister car the EXP. A two tone rust over black 82, a gray 85, and a two tone white over gray 87. I loved these cars and got pretty good service from them,
Not even the windshield haha But the entire floorpan, firewall, fuel door, and front unibody/frame is identical to Escort. Select areas are Escort though too should an EXP/LN7 need any bodywork: The doors below the top sill The front fenders until the turn signal The rear fender flares It was sad when he passed, I only got to exchange messages with him a few times when I got into these back in 2015 where shortly after he stopped visiting the group to only once every few months then just vanished. Almost a year later we heard about his passing, he wasn't very old either ☹️ He absolutely loved and cherished these cars and you can tell his ill health caught him by surprise because while the LN7 was left indoors the EXP was parked hastily under a lean-to where it left exposed to the elements for a good 2-3 years before his family parted with them. The EXP left in very poor shape, both used to be pristine examples before he left us. Glad the LN7 is in good hands again, hope the EXP can too because its restoration never finished.....
This LN7 was actually sitting under a pine tree for at least a couple of years before I bought it from his sister. It was covered in so many pine needles that I still find them on occasion.
Hard to choose among the many brilliant features that Smoky displays - frog eye headlights, 10-slot grille, or the bubble back hatch. What a great member of your collection 👀

Wow, three of them. Nice!
Easiest heater core replacement of any car I have ever worked on.
Just stumbled across this. I was friends with Danny. I miss him lots. This is one of my favorite cars of his. Glad it ended up in good hands!
Thanks for checking in!
The naming convention of "LN7" reminds me of the Licoln "Marks".
LN LN LN LN LN LN LN 😂
Always thought these were cute little cars. Love the red interior with the white exterior and black trim.

Richard just sold it's partner car.
That’s a shame. He should have kept it. Keep them all!
